I don't think I've ever left an ice cream shop feeling as underwhelmed or ripped off. The ice cream is alright, but nothing to write home about-- but it sure is priced as though it's the best thing you'll ever have. The ambience is cute and whatever and the location is good, but that's not why I personally go to get ice cream. It's been years since I went and I still regret it every time I drive by, so when I noticed that it had such a high rating I wanted to add my honest review to hopefully save someone else from an experience they'll regret. Go buy a month's worth of Blue Bell from the grocery store instead, I promise you won't regret that. read more

Sweethaven was an unexpected stop before ending our day in Franklin. The cute white storefront caught our eye on the way back to the car. Once inside, the sweet scent of freshly made waffle cones was hard to resist. We soon found ourselves ordering ice cream from a nice young girl. We chose Salted Caramel Cashew and Butter Pecan -- so good! We sat inside to enjoy our sweet treats in the lovely, quiet atmosphere, while watching fresh waffle cones being made. I loved the bright, simple decor and mini chandeliers. Before leaving, I decided to buy a cute sweatshirt to remember my time at Sweethaven and Franklin with my wonderful daughter. read more

Firstly, the ice cream was very tasty and love the add in and topping options. Prices are fitting for the area. However, the downfall of was the service was rough. The staff working specifically were rolling their eyes at everything we ordered and very much seemed like they didn't want us to be there. It was unfortunate, but will be back to try it again, hopefully it was a one off. read more

my roommate and I love sweethaven! they always have new and delicious flavors to try! we've never had a flavor we didn't like! our all time favorite flavor is definitely blueberry cheesecake. the workers are always super friendly and super hardworking keeping the ice cream area and seating area clean. while there are other ice cream places in downtown franklin, this place is easily my favorite! definitely recommend trying this place out! read more

Sweet Haven is amazing because they have so many different flavors of ice cream and they also have cookies and brownies and it is so fun especially one it becomes winter because they will change it for Christmas. They put peppermint and everything even a little Christmas tree. read more

4.5 Not quite perfect, but darn close on a very hot afternoon...this was the place to stop for a cool treat. Wonderful flavors - lots of creative names. Coconut almond was an absolute six star treat! Creamy vanilla ice cream almost overloaded with crunchy bits of almond and shredded coconut. Perfection! Strawberry was good but not quite as good as my first choice above. I expected it to have at least a few bits of fresh strawberries in it, but was disappointed when I found none. Nevertheless, the ice cream was smooth and very creamy and very "natural" tasting. Grandson got the "candy shop"... He ate it all but then said it was only a "3" because it was too sweet. (I will have to give him some advice on choosing flavors -- and what to expect with something with the word "candy" in the name. Sadly, my significant other chose to have just a popsicle. It fell far below her expectations and so she only gave it two. Overall, this is an excellent little local ice cream shop. And will definitely be back for more flavors. read more

While roaming the Franklin Square came across Sweet Haven Ice Cream. I was in the mood for a milkshake and Anna and Izzy took great care of me. Good milkshake...not too sweet and fresh tasting. The service and friendly attitude from Anna and Izzy was exceptional, especially they were both only on week two of their employment. I'm never going back. I purchased a scoop of ice cream and went to take the first bite and pulled a hair from inside the scoop of ice cream. I returned the scoop and told the person working there. She apologized and offered me another scoop. The thought disgusted me. She gave me a serving of soft serve yogurt but I threw it out after one bite as I was so nauseated from pulling a hair from my first scoop. Lost a great customer. Sweethaven is cute and I can see why it is well-liked. They have some unique flavors that you might not find in other places. I liked my rhubarb ice cream in the cone. My husband thought you get what you pay for versus some other ice cream places we frequent. Albeit to say, Sweethaven is a good place to get your sweet tooth fulfilled. I think my only complaint would be that it is a cramped place. If the line is out the door then you're in the crowd that is on the patio. The line snakes around the tables inside the joint, too. It can get busy and you have to be ready for that if you're one who is a bit claustrophobic. They truly do utilize every square inch of their establishment. They have really nice staff with strong customer service. Price transparency and the types of ice cream they have are all visibly listed to help you choose easier before you get to the ordering station. You are able to try samples as well. We've tried every ice cream in Franklin. Sweethaven is by far our favorite. Best flavors Cutest shop. My kids call me crunchy because I'm picky about what they eat. Sweethaven is my absolute favorite ice cream shop in Franklin!! The flavors are so unique and the shops have such positive environments with incredible customer service. The owner is often in the shop and very kind and devoted to giving Sweethaven visitors the best experience. My personal favorite flavors are Chocolate Covered Strawberry frozen yogurt, Cherry Chocolate Chip ice cream, Malted Chocolate ice cream, and the Peppermint Stick ice cream at Christmas time. They make sure to always have a diary free/gluten free option which makes it a great place to go with friends who have different dietary restrictions. I would also recommend getting a Sweethaven Shake with one of their many ice cream flavors! My favorite is with the Salted Caramel Cashew. read more

My wife thinks their frozen yogurt is the best in the area, but do note that they don't have a huge variety of toppings as you might expect at a frozen yogurt place. Lots of different sprinkles though, which are good. The shop is a bit outside Franklin proper, in the little community of Westhaven. They've been open for all of 13 mins as of this review. So far so good! Friendly family. Amazing ice cream! I got mint, and also peanut butter and chocolate. The mint has actual ande's mints in it. The place itself was very cute, everything was pink and gold and frilly. The smells of waffle cones walking in was amazing. The Oreo Overload was good, but you can't really mess that up. I also got a scoop of Cherry Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. The Cherry tasted good, but I do wish it had fresh cherries instead of maraschino ones. The Chocolate Raspberry was disappointing, which I guess I was lucky they only had enough for one scoop. (Originally I was going to get 2 scoops of that). It was icy, with barely any raspberry or truffle pieces. Not sure if it's because it was the last of the container or what, but I was glad I saved some of the Cherry to end my cup on a positive note. read more
