Completely unprofessional and irresponsible My child went with a friend (we have been here before many times) ordered vanilla custard with Oreos. My child is allergic to nuts and voiced this when she placed her order. Her ice cream was served to her with Reece cups on it. When her friend encouraged her to take it back, the response from the employee was "oh I did the best that I could". Not let me fix it, or I can give you a refund. Hello, Tonight, I had taken my wife, her sister, and daughter to Whits. We typically go to Dairy Queen, Whits, Handel's in Powell and tonight was a horrible experience. The employee at the drive through at 6:30 pm was not helpful at all, our product melted all over our car, and she was not willing to give us flavor options or guide us to a place to help. She immediately closed the window and we asked her to open it as the product was melting and ruining our car and clothing. She thought it was funny. It was a horrible service experience and a worse product experience. The kids working truly didn't care and that is a shame. I have worked 6 years in ice cream and this was deflating. I love Whit's but this location is awful. It has been going downhill for a while. The drive thru speaker does not work. The menu board by the broken speaker is in really bad shape. Inside the cooler which should have a variety of treats is usually next to empty. In general it just looks run down which makes me question what is going on behind the counter. There have been times when they don't have chocolate custard. I strongly suggest hitting up another location - Mount Vernon, Westerville or Johnstown. I hope whoever runs this location sees this review and takes this as constructive criticism and makes some changes. read more

Went to this Whits and both workers had terrible attitudes when I walked in. I have never been inside a Whits to order before and when I asked for a minute to look at the menu the worker did nothing but stare at me and scoff. My younger brother proceeded to go and buy a sweet tea from the store and after purchasing he discovered that it was expired by over a year. When he asked for a refund the worker asked him "Why do you need a refund, does it taste bad?". I feel that this does not matter. My daughter ordered 8 shredded chicken sandwiches last Saturday. They are normally good as far as shredded chicken goes. Once she got home, three of the eight were obviously scraped off of the sides and bottom of whatever they cook them in. Dark brown to dark yellow hard chunks of dried up chicken. I took them back to which I asked the girl if she would eat that and she replied no. Wouldn't give me a refund because I didn't have the card. I asked for a cash refund. As a loyal customer to this location through the years I was surprised by the answer I received when I called to post my complaint over the two foot long coney cheese dogs add mustard and onions the same order I have made numerous times but when I returned home to eat no coney or cheese were on the dogs not a big problem.. The problem was when I called and let them know of the mistake so I could return to get the proper order when the person on the phone said no sir that's what you ordered that's how it was rung up...Huh so the 3 people in my vehicle all heard the order I made I come for the coney sauce and not hot dogs with mustard answer onions I can make that at home . The gentleman on the phone had absolutely no customer service just said he was right and that was the end of the conversation as he hung up .. Wow I'll travel a bit further from now on to another location to get my weekly fix forget the lack of customer service I am seriously surprised that the franchisee would allow such bad customer service especially during this part of the season . read more

We like this place. Go there almost weekly. The employees are always really nice. It's a little expensive, like $5 for a regular 'whitzer' - which is the equivalent of a medium DQ blizzard, but there's not much else in the area as far as places for ice cream, so we pay it & enjoy it. The service is slow, the ordering kiosk has been broken all summer, some lights on the menu board are out, and they don't always display their flavor of the week. I love Whit's frozen custard! The custard is the creamiest custard I have ever had and has always consistently good in texture and flavor. This location is a nice short drive from the Westerville area and has a nice indoor area (about 4-5 tables) to sit at. I like the fact that they have a flavor of the week that rotates regularly and is posted on the company web site. I try to recommend this place to all of my friends! read more

This is now one of the only places in Sunbury to get ice cream - since the closure of the Dairy Cream in Sunbury in 2014. As a birthday treat with her grandparents, my daughter picked to Whits to celebrate. Upon arrival, she was overwhlemed with selection and was encouraged to make a selection from the teenage staff - patience was not part of the training. No other guests were held up by her unability to make a choice - and she felt pressured to quickly select something. She picked something quickly and after ordering changed her mind with the teenage staff. The waitress replied "are you sure now" and walked away. Her grandfather said - I will take that - just bring her what she asked. As a facility that serves to families and young children - I would expect better service. I understand she was hesitant to make a selection and changed her mind. However, she is a kid and this was a special event for her. Whits was not out of any of their supply - as the extra cone was purchased anyway. I miss the local dairy creme corners that offered service with a smile and patience was always provided - no matter what the age. I think that next time - I will make the short drive to the former Sticky Fingers (now Pit Lane) by Alum Creek or give McDonalds an opportunity to earn more business off of Sunbury children. I had expected more and hope that this review is able to implement changes and reminders to the staff. Small businesses rely heavily on positive experiences - and this was far from it. read more
