They have coffee at 7:30pm which is perfect because I was about to drive three hours with little sleep. They saved me. Service was good, place is decent but small and more like casual. The outside is nice.

We were on our way back from Mt Rainier and looking for a coffee shop to give us an afternoon pick me up. The kids were ready to get out and stretch their legs as well. We can not speak to the motel part of the business, only the coffee and ice cream shop. The location is right off the highway and was a quaint little motel with shop in the front. Easy to see and access from the main road. The kids got ice cream. They have about 5 or 6 different flavors to choose from. I got a vanilla latte and it was very very weak. If you're looking for stronger coffee, ask for another shot of espresso or less milk. Overall, it was a neat little tourist place I'd at least recommend checking out.

Stumbled upon this cozy little coffee house, and glad we did! The eggnog lattes are excellent. Nice selection of ice creams and sorbets too. The staff was friendly and greeted us with a smile. And, learned that it's owned by the first American to top Mount Everest. Had no idea! Lots of pictures and memorabilia adorn the walls. Small rock climbing "play ground" out front for the kiddos too. Small bites offered as well.

4 out of 5 for a quick stop for coffee and ice cream - staff was friendly, and everything was tasty (and not too pricy), definitely stop by if you are going up or back from Mt. Rainier.

I'm sitting in my room, I checked in earlier today. I figured since I have wifi, writing a review would be a fun idea! No mobile service. No room service. This bunkhouse is the perfect place to stay if the following are your requirements: - clean - rooms have heaters - hot showers plus clean towels - close to Rainier and local climb companies - gear shops nearby - you can get food and water on-site - wifi available if you feel the urge to Yelp or send emails This place has its charm and there are so many stories waiting to be told and heard. Stay here if you are looking for comfortable and affordable lodging with a laid back Ashford vibe. :)

Friendliest coffee and ice cream stop West of Longmire. Just what we needed after hiking to Comet Falls (Plus Free Fast WiFi).

Mountain Goat Coffee recently underwent some renovations. The interior is modern, cozy, and inviting. Plenty of places to sit comfortably, and clean restrooms. It can get pretty packed though since it's the only dine-in cafe in town. There is quite a lot of cute merch in the back & stickers at the front counter. Service: Service was okay. Our orders did come out quick, but if it's packed it'll take a lil while. Food: I came 3 different days and ordered 3 lattes each day (Carmel, marshmallow, and hazelnut). I believe their hot lattes taste a lot better than ordering an iced one. I've had better lattes but this is the closest cafe in the area. Espresso was decent. As for their pastries, their salted double chocolate chip cookies are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! That cookie was the reason we kept coming back.

I found on Yelp that Volcano coffee was within 5 minutes of my location. This was definitely a random visit which turned into a wonderful one. Upon my entry, I was greeted with a cheerful "Good Morning " by one of the ladies (employee/possibly owner) and had made eye contact. I advised it was my first visit and if she didn't mind me taking some updated photos of the business as Yelp had old pictures. She stated "You're more than welcome, let me know when you're ready to order". I thanked her and I would holler. The place was larger than I expected. The building didn't look as big on the outside. I guess I was fooled. LOL! The ambiance was clean, comfortable with cozy lounge furniture and dining tables. There is a Fireplace, however, was not in use as it was warm inside. The Christmas tree was still up. I was advised by one of the ladies that they leave it up and change the theme throughout the year. I thought that was pretty neat. Drive thru is available. After looking through the menu. I opted to order the sausage egg muffin breakfast $6.50. This was good. I also ordered a Masala Chai latte with coconut milk $6.30 (inclusive of up charge $.75). This was recommended by one of the ladies and had claimed it was her favorite drink. I enjoyed this drink very much! I also had a warmed apple fritter $3.05 which was good. The three ladies that were working on that day were so joyful, full of smiles and laughter. I could tell they had great chemistry and enjoyed working there. I believe one of them was the owner. They surely made my morning and my day. I left merrily on my way to run the rest of my errands. I shall be back! =)

I am going to submit an edit with the correct address also. I was once at Volcano Coffee quite a long time ago and it was a fun time. We played cards with a social group we were in and it was a lot of fun. I wanted to come back here and get a refresher on their coffee and their pastries so I swung by here just this past weekend to give them a try. I got their Gold Digger coffee drink which was good! It had chocolate in it and a few other things that resulted in this being a pretty rich coffee drink but it was enjoyable all the same! I also got an Apple Fritter which was pretty good. It was flavorful and satisfying. Perhaps not as fresh tasting as some others I have had in the recent past but no actual complaints to issue really. Service was good and the baristas were always very pleasant and nice to chat with. It was a good experience!
