So it's been about a month after my nightmare visit. Anyhow, came home to a BILL!!!!! I have NEVER gotten an "additional bill after a urgent care visit. So on top of my co-pay I apparently owe $29.86. So they still have the nerve to bill my insurance after such horrible service AND ruin the sample to the lab??? WOW I don't even know what to say. Guess I'm out almost $30 dollars. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you go to this location, do it with care and only if it's the only place you can go. I'm so done with this business ESPECIALLY after getting this additional bill. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. UPDATE: 10/17 FINALLY I was able to speak to a kind and competent human, Dilayla Marquina. Dilayla reach out and immediately apologized on the additional bill and ask I not pay it because it will be taken care of. I also got my co-pay refunded. What I appreciated most, was how Dilayla spoke to me; professionally and with empathy. She sided with providing excellent customer service. She even offered to help find another clinic for me. She really went above and beyond. Unfortunately, Dilayla is not the manager at the Whittier Urgent Care, but if an issue arises and she is handling it, then you are good. Now if the location could have Dilayla, I am confident that the issue I had would have never been. Great customer service starts from the management. I'm satisfied now with how it was made as right as it could be thanks to Dilayla. read more

New patients to this UC The Staff here really goes the extra mile. Front office was super transparent on the wait time and pricing. Front office also was very kind and polite. The MA Claudia initially took back both my son and daughter. I love how she spoke directly to them asking how they felt. My son 11yr old explained his symptoms and she really listened. With my 9 yr old daughter she was gentle and also very attentive. The swap testing was easy and painless. Thank you so much Claudia! The Provider Dr. Armit listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all. I know we were their last patients for the day and they staff still took their time. We are in between insurance coverage so we are paying cash. Consults are reasonably priced at $100 a patient. The exam rooms are very clean, well lit and pretty modern looking. UC usually have an outdated look. Rooms and equipment are clean kept up. They have X-ray on site which is very convenient. We've come here for everything from Covid tests, strep tests, flu tests, and a now-a sports physical. They accept Kaiser insurance and I've never had a bad wait time here so I find it to be super convenient. The front desk staff has always been friendly and the doctors have been great. read more

I won't be returning here. Pros: I got successful treatment for swimmer's ear, and many of the folks working there are very friendly. Cons: After paying $165 day-of, I later got a bill for $480. My Cigna EOB said this was the negotiated "discount" on an $800 facility charge. Since I hadn't met my deductible, I was responsible for all $480. (This was for the doctor to take a quick look in my ear, observe inflammation, and prescribe antibiotic drops.) After a couple of weeks of calling about this and repeatedly explaining the situation, I finally got a refund ... on the $165, which is evidently what I would have paid without insurance. Still a lot to charge for 5 easy minutes of a GP's time, but more reasonable than $800. Bottom line--I ultimately had to pay 2.9x more just for using the insurance I pay premiums for. And I was initially overcharged even beyond that. They also had no record of my previous visit, and then they put someone else's phone number in my file. read more

My son slipped and sliced the side right by his eye. I struggled finding an Urgent Care location that took our insurance and answered the phone. They had 40 minutes till closing and kindly told us to come in. The staff was extremely attentive and warm. The offices/rooms were immaculate. I was so afraid to go in with COVID but it felt so safe. The intake was quick, they diagnosed what need and quickly got to work. He needed 5 stitches and the P.A. Lauren did phenomenal and was gentle with injection and stitching. She had an assistant holding his legs and supporting as I held his hand. I began feeling queasy and faint and they immediately noticed I was close to passing out. They brought me water, pillow to lay down and elevate legs and fanned me as they kept my son calm and finished his stitches (I didn't pass out thankfully to their quick action). We just came back from his Pediatrician checking the stitches and he said they looked great. My new go to Urgent Care. Highly recommend. read more

She told me that if he was in bad pain I should have take him to the hospital or ER. They first wanted all the information about his work and then seeing him. "This is our policy" like.... I came here because I got sick over night. They had the highest rated reviews and accept my insurance. They also let my boyfriend in the room with me and provided face masks. The staff was great. Sandra and Brenda were very helpful. Sandra took all my information and vitals and was very nice. Dr. Lincoln Vu was helpful and answered all of our questions no matter how tedious they were. I have recently started coming here because my son has been getting sick a lot and now has asthma. With asthma you have to definitely have reliable doctors. Every time we've came here they have been consistent with their service and treatment. Even when you call they are always helpful, always with a great attitude, the front desk is always kind, polite and friendly all the staff (Claudia & Dr. Amrit) have treated us super good. The wait time is not bad at all either. You don't feel rushed, when you leave you feel relieved that they were able to help you. When it comes to children you always want places where they feel safe and comfortable and my son likes coming here, they are also very clean and well kept. I originally came here to do a TB test. Greeted when I walked in. Very clean, and you register online. No wait time, just 1 person ahead of me. I canw back today to get my results and also to be sewn by provider. Medical assistant Deanne was very sweet and informative. Also, the ladies at the front desk were nice and helpful. I've never had any complaints about this place until now. I've come here twice and both times they told me they were unable to see us because they've "reached" their capacity. It's 130 and they close at 5pm . I'm sorry but turning away 3 sick kids 2 times is a MAJOR problem. Absolutely done with this place. read more

It is my second time here. I came in for my son got rash on his hands and possible scratch from our puppy. I like going here because there is no wait time and after you fill out the forms they room you right away. Destiny and Dr. Amrit they were really nice and gave assurance on what they are treating you for. What I also like is that they follow up on you the next day and ask how patient is doing. Came in to check for strep throat and was offered covid and flu test also. Claudia the medical assistant was very attentive and helpful. Also Dr. Gertsch took care of me better than my family doctor does. I highly recommend this urgent care. All staff is nice, professional and helpful. I let them know I was diabetic and they did their standard procedure and found my blood sugar was high and gave me information on what to do next. Greatly appreciate good Dr.s and staff. Called in the morning to schedule an appt for Covid testing for a toddler and they said, we don't need an appt. Once we got there, they said, it's about 2 hours wait. They would take us in as long as we are willing to pay out of pocket.
