Scott is amazing. I have 42 tats and was needing another one. I just move here and obviously don't have a shop that I know does amazing work. Well I found my new home shop. Scott did amazing. I go back tomorrow for the coloring. He quoted me $600 for entire tat and he had kept to that quote and his word of it being $600. The staff, Scott and the other artists are absolutely the best in the business. I will not go anywhere else in while I live in Tennessee. I have found my forever shop! i can't wait until Scott to get started on my bottom full leg. I have been coming to Whitt's Legacy for about 5 years now because of a recommendation from a friend and I will never go anywhere else! I got my helix, tragus, and, most recently, my nose pierced and all have been exceptional experiences. The piercer is very patient and kind and does a great job. I also have a tattoo on my wrist from Whitt's and it was also a good experience. My husband has been tattooed here several times and always has a good experience. I got two piercings from here around 10 days ago. They were great at first but after about a week they both started getting very infected, one more than the other. I continued to clean them with the soap directed by the piercer but they only got worse. My entire ear surrounding the piercing became very very infected and I knew this was something else besides new normal piercing issues. I took them both out and ended up going to the doctor to receive antibiotics for the infections. Before I got pierced, they did not clean the surface of my ear and did not show me that they were using new, disinfected tools before piercing me. In hindsight, I should have taken this as a sign before allowing them to pierce me but I would definitely look other places before receiving a piercing from here. read more

Terrible experience. I will give them one star for the the great staff , cleanliness, and the place has a good vibe. I had scheduled an appointment over a month ago and Stevie the owner was doing my tattoo. I showed up yesterday and waited 45 minutes before I was informed that Stevie wouldn't be able to make it. We rescheduled for today to meet before opening and 30 minutes late again and I waited another 30 before anyone even talked to me. I came in with a specific picture that I wanted duplicated and on item added in. I was told no problem. I questioned him several times during the process because what was going on my arm looked nothing like the picture but he assured me that it was what we discussed. When done , my new tattoo had no resemblance to what I wanted. It looked nice but wasn't what I wanted. He did what he wanted to do. I didn't ask for freehand surprise. I won't get into the personal part but the bedside manner contained TMI . Keep your personal problems personal. They scheduled me a follow up appointment to finish and touch up. The whole experience was bad for me so when I got home I cancelled the follow up and decided to have someone with a little more professionalism finish up. I was questioned as to why I wasn't coming back and I told them and I don't sugar coat shit. I would have left this alone and never written a review but the owner called me back physically threatening me because I told his staff I was unhappy. What kind of business owner does that? i've gone with a lot of friend to get peircings here and the piercings are done by an apprentice and the prices are good but the skill is lacking. i've had multiple friends had bad experiences with their peircings and the placement. Came in at 3 to get piercings after calling prior to that, arrive at the location and get told that the piercer is out until 4 because she is paying bills. Ok, no problem. So we come back at 4 and they stare at us standing at the door, my mistake was not reading the sign at the door that said not to open the door. Truly, sorry. But the IMMEDIATE attitude was inappropriate and wrong. She then tells us that she (indicating that she is the piercer) will not being back until 5 and closes the door on us. That is three people,who intended on getting at LEAST two piercings each, that were turned away from your business. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Got my first tattoo done here back in September, they were really accommodating. Cynthia did my tat, and was so happy to have popped my tattoo cherry. They even fed me a pickle and chatted with me. Got tattooed here several times. I was quoted a price by the artist after sending him pictures and sizes of what I want. When I showed up to the shop to get it done, scott told the artist to tell me it would be 400$ more than what he quoted me. Scott didn't even acknowledge me. Bad business. Wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Masks were required, temperature was checked upon entering the building, and I was immediately instructed to wash my hands at a station set up beside the door while they were sanitizing the piercing station. I'm glad they were taking proper precautions to ensure our safety, and they seemed happy to do so. I received two piercings and they are both probably the most symmetrical piercings I've ever had done. I'm already ready to go back. read more

So I went in to get my nipples pierced in March or so, I didn't find out the person piercing me was an apprentice til he already did one nipple, and then I drove an hour home after we finished and noticed then that it was with curved barbells and called the shop the next day and they said some piercers do it that way but they could fix it. Looking it up and talking to at least five other experienced piercers, that is never how you pierce nipples and especially not bigger breasts. I drove up the next day for them to change out the barbells and then I drove home, but they still haven't healed after so many months because I also was pierced further into my areola and not actually behind my nipple so they are so insanely sensitive and as I said prior I've consulted with many other piercers and they agree, these piercings are ROUGH. Done too far back. Was told to clean with dial hand soap but it's moisturizing so it's not actually good for piercings so they weren't healing for that reason as well later learned dial bar and bactine works great. Overall. I'm so heartbroken over how it turned out cuz it's not like I'd wanna take them out and do it again but I shouldn't have to. I'd happily pay more money if a piercing was done correctly, instead I wasted money and have put so much more into them now trying to fix them just because they weren't done right the first time. read more

I got my helix, nose, and double lobes done by Danny and I would DO IT AGAIN!! Danny was super patient with me asking questions and joked around to make me feel comfortable. The chair was in a little alcove and felt very warm and inviting, and the music on was very therapeutic and relaxing; everyone at the front was very welcoming too. Of course the cartilage hurt, but the needle went through very quickly and I only felt mild discomfort when the jewelry was put in. I am a huge cry baby and was very afraid of getting pierced and I did tons of research. Checked out B*rn Th*s W*y and was quoted around $280!!!! I wish I could say better things about my experience here. I got my septum pierced a few months back. When I got the jewelry changed to a clicker (type of septum ring), I noticed it didn't look quite right. While shopping for a gold septum ring I checked out some other shops, and one of the piercers there told me my septum was pierced unusually low, so that was why the sides of the clicker were visible. I went back to Whitt's and told them I thought they had pierced it too low. They have a new piercer now, and she said she'd be happy to fix it for free (the owner was sitting right there, and heard the whole thing but didn't comment on it). First the piercer took the old jewelry out and I was going to let that one heal before getting it pierced again higher up. I went back a week later for her to do it again. She said she had talked to the owner of the shop, and she was no longer able to do it for free. The owner claims I asked for it to be pierced low. I know nothing about piercing placement, and never would have asked for that. Besides, she was right there when the piercer offered to do it again for free and did not speak up then, which made no sense. Anyway, the discussion that ensued was not pretty. She got a horrible attitude with me when I said I did not remember asking for it to be pierced low (and neither does my friend who was by my side the whole time). I ended up leaving and getting it done at Born This Way Body Arts. They did an awesome job the FIRST time, no misunderstandings. Tattoos may be worth getting here, but I would pass on piercings. read more

I came here because the great reviews of the 2 for $30 deal. I got my upper lobe re pierced on both sides and chose the rose gold studs that the piercer said would be $10 (didn't specify if it was each or for the pair). The right one was a breeze but the left one seemed to have scar tissue so he had to pierce it twice. While trying to put the earring in he accidentally dropped the stud on the floor and had to get a new one to put in. When it was time to check out he said my total was $60? Now if each earring was $10 each and the piercing was $30 then at the MOST my total should have been $50. Maybe he charged me for the extra stud that he dropped though that wasn't my fault at all. I am not the type of person to argue about costs at the register but it didn't seem to add up. Even though the piercer was super nice and friendly I just wished he had explained the cost better to me so I could understand it. Or at least give me a receipt. read more
