When you enter the Kahala Wholesale Unlimited, you hear a pleasant voice greet you. But, most of the time it's not what you focus on cause your eyes are looking at all the stuff while your mouth starts to water. I'm on a one year crave for Japanese green peas. Both the regular and wasabi. Plus my usual li hing mui, shredded seafood and a variety of iso peanuts. Used to go to Longs but found it's better at Wholesale Unlimited. There is a variety of package sizes so one trip will last me up to three weeks. Plus, there is somethings that always catches my eye like li hing cherry. Recently, the local cookies and jerky have been appealing but have not yet reached the level of cravings. Staff had always been great and have taken care of this senior. If you gotta go for local snacks and live in Wai-Kahala, go to this shop. It's the best. However, they do not sell cracked seed from the huge glass jar and put it in a small brown paper bag. That's one I always crave cause it's the best when you can suck the paper bag after you have eaten all the cracked seed. You gotta be real old to know that taste. read more

Though I've been here before, this was my 1st time shopping here. I visited their store by Aiea last year and shopped there before coming here a few days later. After spending a few hours at the KCC farmers market in early February, we stopped here in Kahala for our next stop. I found them in the middle island shelf as browsed the walls. When I reached the cashier, there were a couple of people ahead of me but the wait was short. Size wise, it isn't as large as the other one that I visited last year but it seemed to have the same full selection. What sets this one apart from the others is the employee that we met: Francisco He was very helpful. He was able to explain the taste and texture of everything and make comparisons between each product (cookies, arare, etc.). He knew what the best-sellers were and why. Amazing! After browsing through the arare (mochi crunch), cookies, dried seafood (like cuttlefish), nuts (like pistachios), candy, li hing mui (preserved fruits), etc., I came across an interesting mochi mix. It looked simple enough to bake... and it was! It also was appropriate for my friend's birthday! I served the colorful mochi (with sprinkles in the mix)! I think I should add more butter next time... I'm gonna keep this review nice and short, because there's not much to say other than this is my favorite place to buy local Hawaiian snacks. I used to frequent the location near the airport on Ahua St. for years. It's much larger than this express shop across from Kahala Mall, but this location is much closer to my residence and I was thrilled that they opened in East Honolulu. They're located in the same shopping plaza as Kahala Mkt by Foodland. Parking is available in the shared lot, but it can get crowded during peak hours. My favorite snacks to get are Betty's Best cookies, particularly the chocolate chip with mac nut. Hubby loves the iso peanuts and cuttlefish. I enjoy anything with ume, as well as the seeds and arare. They really have just about every local snack under the Hawaiian sun! I love the fact that they sell gift bags, as I often bring back snacks for friends and I've also had them shipped directly to friends on the mainland as Christmas gifts. A few years ago when I bought a new home here, my realtor sent me a huge box of Wholesale Unlimited snacks and it was one of the best gifts I've ever received! Everything is reasonably priced and they keep the store neat and clean. My only complaint is that sometimes they don't have the items I want. I don't know if they need to do a better job of inventory or what the situation is, but that's the only reason why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. On the last full day in Honolulu, we had to stock up on Hawaii's favorite snacks! Conveniently located in the new Ku'ono Marketplace, there's lots of free open parking. During this trip, we've been to Foodland, et al, and BBQ chicken several times so we were surprised that this Wholesale Unlimited Express location wasn't on Yelp yet. Fully stocked, the one and only item we were not able to purchase....dried lychee. The wonderful sales associate, Ilia, explained that lychee was a seasonal snack item. No problem at all :) we filled our box with many other tasty snacks! Their newest item, Huff n Puff is a specialty rice snack you may enjoy. They also have Easter Baskets ready to go. We were at the Kū'ono Marketplace at Kāhala for brunch and I noticed the Warehouse Unlimited as we were parking. It was perfect timing as I determined that I forgot one item during my visit to another Warehouse Unlimited Express store and I would stop by after eating. I'm glad that the store had the large pack of li hing mango in stock and I was able to complete my crack seed snack shopping list. Wow....I didn't know there was a Wholesale Unlimited Express located in Kuono Marketplace in Kahala. I love Wholesale Unlimited's yummy treats. For home or for mailing off to loved ones. Every time I visit I find something new to snack on. This location like the location in Kapolei is much smaller then the Waipahu location, but they still offer tons of delicious treats. Shop is super clean and very well organized. Easy to find your favorite treats and possible new favs. The guy who works there (sorry I didn't ask his name) is super cool and accommodating. I love their Mochi balls , Fried squid, full moon and their cookies. Also their seeds are good and other snacks . They are furthest from Zippy's heading east near Hawaii Pacific Health Straub. Parking was ample and I easily found a stall near the store. I was looking to buy some snacks to ship to a friend and didn't really know where to start since I don't snack. Fortunately, I have several Yeep friends who snack and know all the best places. They recommended Wholesale Unlimited Express along with some other places so I made sure to check them out. I swung by around 10ish and was the only customer but several customers entered in a blink of an eye. Customer service was friendly and the staff member greeted everyone. Yesterday we went to check out Wholesale Unlimited in Kahala. We were initially going to go to the one in Manoa but it's no longer there. That's okay, Kahala is closer. Anyway, this Wholesale Unlimited is located in the Kuono marketplace where they have the new Foodland. It's across the street from Kahala Mall. They have these merchants: Purve, J Dolans, dry bar, Foodland, Lanikai Juice, etc. Wholesale is kind of a small place but they have a ton of different snacks for whatever you desire. We were looking for some omiyage snacks to bring up to my sister in law since we will be visiting. We found some Betty's cookies and we also got some snacks for the airplane ride. My husband loves li hing sour patch kids. Overall great place to get your snacks. We're glad that we were able to stop there to stock up. read more

Wholesale Unlimited in Kahala is a small but mighty shop for picking up local-style goodies like crack seed, Betty's cookies, dried seafood snacks, and various mochi crunch. There are lots of places to get local-style snacks throughout Oahu. I like coming here because its's convenient, has free parking, has everything I need, is kept clean, and service is always friendly. I typically get the white sweet li hing mui because it has just 3 ingredients, plum, sugar, and salt. Many other li hing has red dye, saccharin, and other chemicals. While I know consuming so much salt isn't good. I have always loved li hing and crack seed in general. I've also purchased li hing powder for friends on the mainland, but I personally don't use it because of the chemicals. Bring your own bags if you plan on buying a lot (they don't supply bags). Parking can get crowded but it usually clears. I love the convenience of this location and stop by every trip to Honolulu to get my salty seed fix. read more

Like a big kid in a candy/snacks store. This place totally takes it. From mochi like balls, to macadamia nuts, to dried squid, to all kinds of rice crackers, the store is full of it. Even with sour patches drenched in Li Hing powder, this store has it all. I actually heard of this place because my other friend who visited before had brought back some amazing dried tako (octopus) and the thing is that I couldn't find that anywhere in San Francisco. So when the opportunity arrived that I was in Hawaii and able to get some more, I went to town on purchasing up to $100 in snacks. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but i guess that much snack is hard to finish, even for me. Some of the favorites we had were the coconut macadamia balls, Li Hing sour patch kids, watermelon snacks, rice crackers (Iso Chidori is amazing), Dried Tako, BBQ flavored Taro Chips, and a few others.
