Wholesale Unlimited Inc. was founded in 1965 when Betty Nagamoto initially sold beef jerky to local bars and markets from the trunk of her car. The warehouse is located in Waipahu and they now have six locations under "Wholesale Unlimited Express" throughout Oahu. This location in Honolulu is in a small plaza with a small amount of parking. Although the shop is small, they have a variety of Hawaii snacks including many with li hing powder. There were even a lot of snacks here that I found in Japan which was amazing to see so I grabbed a lot of those. Comparing these prices to other stores around the island, we found that Wholesale Unlimited was the best bang for our buck. The worker (I never got her name) was so friendly! She asked if I needed any help. I showed her the candy that I was looking for. She pointed it out to me. I grabbed a bag $4.25. I also saw the Betty's Best cookies. I had to pick up one of those. I needed some local snacks during my stay, so searching on Yelp Wholesale Unlimited came up. It's in the Like Like shopping center that I've driven by, but had no reason to go in. The parking lot is shared with the other businesses and can be very crowded so you either have to wait or look elsewhere. I found a spot on the street. There was only one woman working, and the family before me was buying quite a bit. I grabbed gummy bears, pineapple gummy bears, pineapple gummies, and cereal cookies. They have a lot of other items that might appeal to others. I like this store better than Lin's because the parking is easier. The woman working was really friendly and I felt like I was at someone's home because of her helpfulness. Lin's may have more, but Wholesale has what I want. Definitely worth checking out! Today was my first time visiting this store. We actually came here to buy some snacks for my dad. Yeah it's another last minute gift. It's just been so hard to get gifts with all the on and off closures of stores. Wholesale Unlimited is small inside but they do pack a lot of goodies in there. It's a nice set up and it's very organized. It's been a while since I've been in a Wholesale Unlimited and I didn't know what to get. Like a kid in a candy shop. We ended up getting shirayuki , chibi arare, Mochi balls, and chocolate covered strawberries. I got the strawberries just to try. My daughter and I had one in the car when we left. Those were good. First time at a Wholesale Unlimited Express and I was quite impressed! My boyfriend loves the Wholesale products. Inside the store is quite small, but well-packed with a wide variety of goodies. It was cleaned and well organized. We ended up purchasing the following to bring back to NV: Chocolate covered raisins Chocolate covered caramel Wasabi Pees Lei Candy Necklace Gummy Bears Pineapple Coconut Balls Brite Crawlers 3D Gummy Hearts Apple Rings Ono Japan Ume Iso Peanuts Japan Milk Candy and much more.. Our bill came over $75.00, but the snacks were unique and quite tasty! Most of the snacks are local, but some offered include Japanese style snacks as well! Parking is pretty easy. A friend at work turned me on to some delish candy from Wholesale Unlimited. She used to live in Waipahu and would frequent the store there, but after finding out they had a location in town on Keeamoku Street, I was glad we didn't have to trek out west. ATMOSPHERE: The "Express" store is located in the Like Like Plaza, the same strip mall that houses Like Like Drive Inn. Parking is limited but free. The store is filled to the brim with candies, seeds, and snacks of all kinds. THE GOODS: Fancy Japan Mix Candy - $3.95/bag The candies look like little jewels in different shapes, all individually wrapped and each with a different fruit flavor. I love them as they're not overly sugary. Fried Squid - $7.95 As I was waiting in line to pay, I noticed these had a sign next to them stating "staff favorite". Available in two sizes, I went large. Not knowing if I'd like them, I bought one bag. I should've gotten two, no four, no the whole rack! OMG, these were amazingly good. They remind me of the razor thin beef jerkey that's sold on Maui but instead made out of thinly sliced squid that's coated in a light batter and deep-fried. There's no chewiness like ika, but has all the flavor of it. Excellent pupu with your wine or beer! Highly recommended. The one no so good thing is the limited product selection. But and if you live or work in the Ala Moana area, it serves its purpose as their inventory and products are their most popular items saving you the journey to their larger location in Mapunapuna. You may find similar products in other ethnic markets (Don Quijote, Marukai) or in stores like Walmart or CVS but it is not the same. I learned you could special order a product if not found at the location proper. They will have it delivered from their larger store or warehouse. A nice touch for folks like me who try not to venture outside of my 5 mile radius of my office. Parking is easily found and if not, street parking on Keeaumoku Street is usually available. read more

Prices are significantly cheaper than Target or wherever by $1-$3 and they have such a huge selection!
