I kept saying that I wasn't asking about a discount but about the fee on my receipt. After a few of those back-and-forths, he finally uncovered the note stating the fee and rolled his eyes. Seriously? Who is deserving of an eye roll here? A customer surprised to be paying a random additional dollar amount on top of a store's already ridiculously inflated prices ($3 more for a six-pack of hard seltzer here than at other stores in the neighborhood, for instance), or some dude trying to swindle people out of money? Also, I looked into this further, and their approach appears to be illegal. For instance: '[A New York Court of Appeals decision] ruled merchants should be allowed to charge you more if you pay with a credit card but only with exceptions. - You must be told upfront with a posted credit card price and a posted cash price for every single item. - A flat percentage surcharge is not allowed. I noticed they were painting so I inquired and they told me they would be providing coffee and tea to the community. So I will start this review by sharing my experience with the coffee first and we can talk about the glass after. These guys are all about nourishing the community. They care about the people who live around them and it shows. the ingredients they used in the coffee were of the highest caliber and it was delicious! My girlfriend had the tea, I don't drink much tea but she was very impressed and said that they were carrying "rishi" Which I'm assuming is holy grail tea because she couldn't stop raving about it! You always know the raw product is authentic when they carry it in every form, said a gentleman who was in the store buying paper at the time I was shopping. I also brought a tray that had a beautiful design, and it got better because when I got home and took off the magnetic lid and under it had papers, hemp wick, stickers and all types of other little goodies( I was just winning all day) I recommend anybody from any borough to stop by this place!
