She engages kids well, is talented in her craft and gets the job done in less than 25 to 30 minutes. She does his edges too, which I appreciate since not many barbers in the area we live in do this. She seems to be the only female barber there, other barbers are male. She holds her own too and has a good handle on making sure my 9 yr old is comfortable. No Covid-19 safety precautions in place They do not wear masks and won't wear one. When trying to book appointment for my 1 year old, I asked if the person cutting his hair could wear one (seeing as 1 year old is ineligible to get vaccinated). The response was no.. she probably would not be comfortable wearing a mask. I've been to this place about 4 times and will have to go a couple of more times to adequately gauge consistency but I've been satisfied with the quality of my hair cut each time thus far. I get a simple cut - buzzed down sides and back (#1) with a modern-type quiff on top. My straight hair makes it difficult to maintain and keep looking clean if not trimmed every few weeks. Danny and Eli are brothers with two completely different personalities. If you know exactly what you want and you want a quick, efficient cut, go with Eli - just know that you will get exactly what you ask for without much input (unless you ask, which I did and he generously gave his opinion which does indeed help - he is the professional after all). If you want something a little more personable with someone who'll take their time explaining things and suggesting things that you may not have considered but will ultimately look great on you (and check in on you throughout your cut), go with Danny. Oh, and make an appointment because Eli may not take you without one even if they're seemingly empty, unless of course it seems like you've known them for a bit (which is subjective, of course). First day I went as a walk-in but was turned away with three empty seats on a weekday at 3:30pm and told to come back at 5:30, only to find out that the other appointments had been cancelled. During my first haircut a very respectful gentleman came in requesting a haircut using courteous Spanish - when he was advised they did not speak Spanish the gentleman promptly used his Apple Watch to translate and was turned away and told to schedule an appointment when he advised them that he did not have one. Fair enough. Last time I was getting a cut, a random guy came in and asked if there was a line for a cut, he was told no and was advised to sit down and wait - he seemed like a new customer because he mentioned he used to go to another spot in the neighborhood - I didn't hear him be asked if he had an appointment. Shrug. Take these two situations with a grain of salt because I know schedules change day by day. The review from 4 years ago stating something about anti-semitism- that review is so ignorant for one very, extremely important reason... those in the know will know what's up. Just have a decent conversation with the dudes and you might understand why that review is completely and utterly wrong. These are good people who know what they're doing and do it well. read more

Anti-Semitism: Took my 3 year old son there this weekend. The barbers felt it was OK to use profanity around us. Worst of all I heard the barbers talking to each other and on 3 separate instances the head barber, Eli, used the word "Jew" as a derogatory term to mean cheap. I.e. "he jewed me down on the price". I am Jewish, but I guess I don't "look" Jewish to these guys.I didn't know what to do, I just let them finish my son's haircut, paid, and left. I was extremely angry at how they casually threw around anti-Semitic remarks around customers like it was totally fine. I would not recommend this place. Given, the neighborhood, I don't think using slurs like that is a good idea. The haircut itself was adequate, nothing special. best barbers in queens. eli and gabe can do the tightest fades and tape-ups. when you say skin fade you get skin fade, not a 1/2 inch fade like most barbers because they hate going close. they also give a nice hot towel when the cut is done. great for kids too with their airplane seat and pleasant personalities. read more

Been here many times, used to be a regular. Eli, the manager, telling me "Can you hurry up and pay me, I want to go home." was the final push for me to leave. They also really like being distracted by the TV. One of their shaves left my neck red and irritated for days. They are also inconsistent in offering courtesy hot towels or even the neck shaves to begin with. Sometimes Eli sometimes prefers to smoke and chat with his buddies while you are waiting for him. Arrived in the place with my wheelchair bound father and we are automatically greeted in a very friendly manner. All the barbers pretty much carried my father and the wheelchair all the way inside. I'm sorry I didn't get any of their names, but they are all equally, genuinely kind hearted and very funny people. The guy that cut my dad's hair is very nice and worked around my father's condition. My dad is slouching, looking down and very hard to cut, but he still did a very good job with no complains. Never did these guys looked at us in a weird manner or made the wheelchair or my father a problem at all. So that really made a big impact on me, so I decided to go back the same day to bring my son.
