I don't typically write reviews but recently went in to look at a A7 and my ex audi tech buddy asked about some serious service questions after noticing a few issues & oil underneath it but the I'm assuming son of the dealer who was supposed to be helping us rudely replied it's in the CARFAX without even remotely being open to talk about its issues or maintenance of any sorts. Secondly upon us wanting to test drive they where rather forceful to try and get us in to check numbers to even have the ability to test drive. keep in mind we are still trying to compare cars between a Q7 or an A7 as I need another daily driver. read more

My husband came in at 11:30 this morning to the dealership to pick up a check. Salesman said that the owner won't be in until 12. 12 o'clock came around, still no sign or update. I called the dealership at 12:15 asking where the hell is the owner, and why are they playing this stupid game on making my husband wait for this check. Mind you, the "owner" told the BBB that he has the check ready and signed for when he comes in. Lies.. The owner 'ISMAIL', whatever his name is or wants to be called, told my husband "I'm glad I don't have any crazy women in my life like that." Ismail told my husband that owes he him $35 because of a bounced check and wanted my husband to remove the Yelp review. Technically, he was the one who canceled the fraud/false check to us. By the way, it's against the law to be sending false checks, and your local police in your area knows about it. Also, he wanted my husband to sign a notarized document that remove the 'negative post' to have exchange for the check. Then all of sudden 'there wasn't a document to sign' when it was brought up, so we can send the paperwork to our lawyer. I'm not crazy. I'm just persistent, especially when it comes to showing the Yelp reviewers how corrupted this car business is before shopping here. I'm calling everyone out at this dealership. Here is the tip with these guys. DO NOT PAY IN CASH. Pay in a cashiers check so you can cancel the payment immediately if the car isn't up to spec. The first guy was cool. No problems. But Sam, will straight up lie to your face to get you off the lot with the " as is car" I bought a Honda civic 3 weeks ago. I took it to a mechanic. He gave me a list. I gave the list to Mark, who gave it to sam. Sam told me mechanics are thieves that lie and try to inflate issues so I would pay retail price. We negotiated a little bit.. " the alternator is brand new" he was emphatic. Mean while I get the rest of the cash. Brought it back and I shit you not. 2 hours later after another mechanics shows me the broken wheel on the alternator. I go to return the car and died in the suicide lane in front of their office. Sam refuses to refund or acknowledge that I was correct. After arguing for a little bit he takes the car and said he would have the mechanic do it. I come back for the car another day. Today. 3 weeks later. Same issue. Dies in a parking lot leaving me stranded again. $7000 on a 7750 listed civic and it doesn't even make it one month. Less than 300 miles. ADAMs AUTO sales. I've never felt stupider dealing with a company. This is exactly why the jokes about used car salesmen exist. They must just do it different where he comes from when you buy the cheapest cars at auction to turn around for 300% profit with shitty mechanics. He said they are " required to make sure it runs" Keep in mind that only Means to drive off the lot until you are in traffic. After that it's taking life into your own hands. If you shop here after this comment, you are taking risks that are completely unacceptable and unnecessary . Pray before getting into your car if you buy it from Adam's. read more

To the point: So far I'm happy with my purchase. But just remember, you pay for what you get, especially with used cars. I bought a 2006 Ford Freestyle from Adams about 2 months ago. I first called and talked to Cody. After going back and forth on the price we came to an agreement we were both happy with. I live 45 minutes away so I didn't want to go there unless I knew I was going to buy the wagon. The wagon looked just like the pictures that were advertised online. Exterior was in good shape for its age, and the interior was in incredible condition. With only 70,000 miles I couldn't pass it up. I bought it with cash, so the sales team was helpful and fast. I knew I was rolling the dice on a vehicle that was 15 years old but after 2 months of driving it the only repair I've had to do so far is new brakes and rotors. The mechanic I took it to brought up some other issues with the car that did not need immediate attention, but should be replaced in the near future. It's an older car so I expected some repairs. As of now I am happy with my purchase, and if the wagon keeps running strong, I'll be back to buy another vehicle from Adams. read more

Later took it to Lea Schwab for inspection myself shop stated tires are so low they are down to the wear bars. Adams unhelpful/ not willing to make this right with me. Either ignorant or playing dumb to the fact that what they did is ILLEGAL. I have filed complaints against them w/ the B.A.R., B.B.B., and CA DMV. Small claims court is next. The last week of June, we bought a 2007 Lexus GS 450h from Adams Auto Sales. The test drive went very well and Sean was very helpful. At the time he convinced us to purchase an extended warranty through Liberty Shield (that was a mistake). After three days, the check engine light came on, so We took it to Lexus to check it out and they were able to fix the error by updating the program on the car. A day later the check engine came back on with a different error. They called the warranty company and they rejected the claim, so I had them fix it and I paid for it by then I already spent over $600. I called the Liberty Shield to cancel the warranty and they said I can't cancel it and referred back to Adams Auto Sale to do the cancellation. After trying to reach Adams Auto (3 days) without and response I drove to the office and requested they cancel it. The owner, Sam, said the warranty company authorized him to pay me partial of the initial repair ($400) but did not want to cancel and said that he will talk to them. I guess He did not! A week later the check engine came back on for a different error indicating a major issue with engine. Lexus called Liberty for authorization and the got it, but the problem was more serious and needed engine replacement, and guess what? Liberty rejected the claim. By then 4 weeks had passed by since the purchase and the car still in the shop. I called Adams Auto and spoke to Sean and he told me that he will talk to Liberty Shield and that he will get back to me. A week later and all I got was crickets. So I went ahead and authorized the repair because my son needed the car to go back to college in southern Ca. Had to wait 2 additional weeks for the replacement engine to arrive, and a week later the car was ready. By then 2 1/2 months had passed by. So far it has been 3 weeks and no more engine check light, but no response from Liberty or Adam's Sales. So, I recommend you keep your distance from Adams or Liberty Shield since they seems to be scammers. read more

As we exited our vehicle we where warmly greeted and notified that someone is here to help us and gave us our space to look around. I was checking out a Toyota Sienna they had there and even thought I told them I didn't have the money to buy it right at this moment the sales manager, Cody was very very amazing to deal with. I bought a vehicle from them and the transmisson went out after 600 miles.. when he filled out the paperwork for the warranty he didn't mark the box for oversize tires so the warranty company voided the contract.. he also stated the vehicle was in an accident but you can fell where the auto body shop fixed the bed. It took three months to get the registration for the vehicle and when I did get it they had taken the tag off of it another 2 weeks getting a new tag. Nothing but excuses from these guys. read more

Once we were in the office discussing the financing, the guy helping us actually talked us out of the loan (thank you!) He kept trying to come up with a shady deal including demanding a $2000 down payment for an 8k car not to mention my credit score is 728(WTF). They had an ad for a car on Craigslist. It looked nice, so I called to see if it was available and they said they still had it. On the way up, someone called and said it had sold the previous day. We decided to check out another dealer so it wasn't a wasted trip. But about 10 minutes later, someone called back and said they still have the Car, and asked how soon we'd be there. We told them were were driving, and close by. They kept calling every 5 minutes asking us if we were on our way. Once we got there, the business was closed, and a neighboring business owner told us the car sold yesterday. He called the owner to verify. We were led on a goose chase, and left Sacramento without a new car. We live in Pinole, 80 miles and a toll bridge away. Very unhappy. read more

They seemed like a respectable dealer at first, I bought a 2010 GMC Terrain from them in June 2020, when I took it for a test drive I noticed the tire pressure light was on they assured me it was nothing and they reset the light. The transmission also has manual and automatic and they said the manual is touchy to not use it. They knew it was going out I'm sure. I bought the vehicle and on my way home the light came back on. I called them and they said to bring it back the following day so they could fix it. They had their mechanics look at it and they said they added air and to drive it for a few days and the light should go off. I did and the light stayed on. I took the car to Pep Boys and they said 3 of the sensors were bad and I would have to take it to the dealer. I called Adams back and told them and they told me to put air in the spare tire in the trunk that was provably they issue since the sensors detect it. That was compete BS! They wouldn't take the car to the dealer or cover the costs. THEN in September the transmission went out!!!!! I had to pay $4100 to get it rebuilt. I work at home and have barely drove the car. I am still making payments on it or I would have sold it. I had to take out a loan to rebuild the transmission. Buyer Beware I would not buy a used car from this place they are not honest. read more

Luckily they still had the car and it looked even better in person. We were able to test-drive the car right away, on our own for as long as we wanted. We waited for a couple hours while they ran our credit and tried to find the best deals possible which we did appreciate, give our new situation due to Covid things were a little bit more challenging but we could have very well came up with a solution to walk out the door. We ended up coming to an agreement that we would go to our bank to get a loan and came back, and so we did and when we came back we decided we would take another offer they had found, to our surprise the very car we applied for was being test driven by someone else. I understand business is business but if we told you we were coming back and were going for 30mins at most and even called back before heading there than why would you put a car back on the lot so fast? With what we just agreed on doing? I'm not a fan of that type of business, the guy even remarked with "guess what car he is test driving?" Like really? You think we want to hear that off the back of coming back in to come up with another plan to finance the vehicle, I was qualified just wanted better APR and my husband and I even were considering putting more down but when we saw they had put the car back on the market while in a Current process of transaction I immediately was turned off.they don't wear masks either‍ read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! A waste of money, time, gas, energy. I bought a car from these people(car flippers-with no conscious)a few months ago for $11,000, which turned into $17,000 within a month. Before I got the car home the day I bought it, the check engine light came on. I live an hour away from their lot, at 40 minutes the engine light came on. I had test driven this car for half an hour-later to be a big mistake. If I drove it longer, I would have seen the engine light on and never bought it. They said they would help if I had problems, so I called them, and took it in, for them to get the light off. I attempt to drive home again, and the check engine light came on again. I took the car back, for them to simply clear the code, which I later learned from the four mechanics I have spoken to about this situation. The car over heated once I got it home after driving it just under two weeks, as all the lights turned on, not just the engine light this time. I've had four different mechanics look at this car, so I could get a good understanding of the issues, as there are a ton. I learned that the radiator blew(so this car became unable to drive-after close to one month), as well as a head gasket, and canister needed to be replaced. Also that the brakes are down to 15% and will need to all be replaced. I also learned about all of the rust on the undercarriage, and that the windshield is pitted terribly-it was very difficult(dangerous)to look into if driving towards the sun(I bought this car late afternoon into the evening, did not realize at first). All the mechanics I spoke to told me if they had looked over this car before I purchased it, they would say definitely DO NOT purchase it!(they all were very adamant and expressive about it). They all said this is common for used car dealers, to get cars at auction and not look them over. Ultimately a awful learning experience that puts me in the hole $17,000. I now have to take a loss of $11,000 for the car and $6,000 for repairs. They have not returned my calls. read more

I bought a 2010 Toyota Prius from Adams Auto Sales in August 2017. The professional level of the employees are extremely low. They are salesmen and con-artists. I know, I know, expected for the position. Reason #1: I did not have established credit, so I knew my APR would be high. I was told over and over, that because I have no credit, that they will have to increase the cost of the car, because the burden of the credit will be placed on them. I was placing 5,000 for the down-payment. However, I still got a 20.95% APR. If you have any established credit, do not come here. Saad was the primary sales-person that dealt with me. Saad was decent in person, but a monster over the phone. Reason #2: I received a bill from Adam's Auto Sales for DMV registration. I was told over and over that I would not have any further bills. I called in, and did not get Saad. I was told, sorry, you have to pay it. I had to keep calling until I got Saad. Saad finally said, ok, I remember telling you that you did not have to worry about anything else. We will take care of it. It was such a hassle. Reason #3: I finally decided to have my tires inspected, because the car was pulling to the right. Low and behold, the tires are completely bald. The tires were sold to me with less than 2/32 tread. I had to replace them there on the spot. I called in to Adam's Auto Sales the next day to inform them and wanted to see if they wanted to "take care" of anything. I spoke with someone whom did not want to give me their name. He said he would talk to the boss the next day and call me back. He never called me back. I called back in and got another gentlemen who said he is the supervisor and will not reimburse me. He would not give his name either. He said, "You did not buy the car from me. You bought the car from Adam's Auto Sale." In the end he began to yell at me. He said, "Just because you are the customer, what right do you think you have calling for reimbursement of the tires after 6months." How do we know that you didn't swap the tires out? (This was after I told him that in Carfax it shows the tires being replaced in 2013). He told me to come in and talk to him. (after he just yelled at me) You know what? I don't want any help from you. I will not seek any money from your company. [You can keep this as evidence] I will just post my experience with your company online for other people to read. What have I learned? #1: Always get the car pre-inspected. The dealership can and will do anything to save a dollar. Sad world. #2: Go to a larger, well known dealership. The employee's will have more to give their names for one, and will have a standard to live by. Adam's Auto Sale does not. #3: Do not trust any salesmen. They are in it for themselves. I went to test drive a truck, I was given an out-the-door price of $13094 (price without tax, registration, etc was $11750) and told them I had to think about it because it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I decided to purchase the vehicle and called to ask if they still had it. I told them I would be there the next day, cash in hand. About an hour later I get a call from them telling me the price I was given was incorrect and it was $1500 more. When I asked why the price difference Mike told me that the truck was actually $12495 and the previous guy put in the wrong information. I was looking at the website during the conversation and it showed that they increased the price by $1496 but his response was that they are not that kind of company and if anything they would lower the price. He tried convincing me that I must have been looking at a different truck because it had always been that price. I don't know if he did this because I am a woman or what, but how stupid do you think I am to believe the lies coming out of his mouth? I know exactly what I was looking at because I wrote down all the details including the price! I will NEVER go to these guys again even if they are the last used car place in the world! I strongly suggest you find another location to purchase your next vehicle, these guys are extremely dishonest! I don't even want to give them one star but it doesn't go any lower. I was looking for a specific car with a 3rd row seat. I finally found it at Adam's Auto. I called and was able to do most of the deal over the phone. (I live 2 hours away) I was looking for this car after a not at fault accident. Once I arrived and test drove the car, I noticed a severe issue in the drive train. I informed the sales staff that regretfully I would not be buying the car because of the severe drive train issues it had. Despite the deal already being done, they offered another car. I explained that I had very specific requirements and I drove 2 hours to buy this specific car, so I was not interested in any other car. The owner then came and talked to me and said that he would put the car in a certified shop and have it fixed. I was still leary about continuing with the deal but he assured me that he will take care of me. I reluctantly agreed as I knew my options were limited for this specific BMW. The only other concern I has was the rental car I was in because of the accident was on borrowed time. He put the car in the shop, had it fixed, explained the exact issue in detail and the part that needed to be replaced. Unfortunately the OEM part was going to take time to arrive so he got me a rental car until my car was fixed. Once my car was fixed, he delivered it to me. The car has been great ever since. I've had it a year already and I couldn't be happier with the service. From the very first call to the day my car was delivered, the staff was amazing to work with. I am extremely grateful for the lengths that everyone went through to get me into the car I wanted. Thank you!!!!! read more

He answered all my questions and I ended up deciding on a Lexus. Not what I walked in looking for but I'm beyond happy with it! The passenger side mirror was loose but as soon as I mentioned it Saad said they would fix it for me, free of cost, and apologized for not having caught it sooner.
