The park outside was excellent especially during nice weather. Plenty of room to do your asanas and pranayama. It encourages readers of all ages to log the minutes they read over the summer and in turn you can earn prizes and even a free book for participating and reaching certain goals. It has been a lot of fun. We love our branch located in between Baseline and Guadalupe roads on Dobson. The workers there are so nice and friendly. Always greeted with a smile and very helpful in finding books or answering questions from the public (aka us readers). One of my favorite parts of the library is the Restoried section where you can pick up pre-read books at a discounted price. Better than a yard sale. Definitely stop into the branch and check out some books - literally.

All we had to do on our end was set up the party decorations and set out the food. They assisted us in setting up the audio, there was a mic for us to use, and a tv if we needed it. The room itself is connected to the patio area, which would be fabulous for an evening event or when the weather is nicer! They also had doors for you to use to exit straight to the bathroom area. There was plenty of parking as well and a playground nearby for the little ones. I was very happy with this space highly recommend!

The Tempe Police Department responded FAST to a terrifying home burglary and assault that my…read moreboyfriend and I recently experienced. We called 911 and a fleet of cops came knocking on our door in less than two minutes. They were quick to react, immediately advised me to get on my Cerberus tracking app, and stayed with me until the thieves were apprehended. They kept asking me if I was ok and when my adrenaline went down an hour later, they even apologized for the brute and cold way they first spoke to me. (I was like, DUDE you guys are doing your job, I'm not offended that you didn't coddle me, LOL. Apologizing was not necessary at all.) Detective Michelle Reyes was so sweet, extremely professional, and gladly answered all my questions about the case afterward. The police technicians did take a really long time to finish fingerprinting my phone and miscellaneous items (they said it'd take 2-3 days... it ended up taking 17 days lol) but hey, I'm just glad they recovered all my stolen items in the first place. I'm honestly so grateful. Despite the terrifying ordeal, I feel safe knowing that the Tempe Police Department is vigilantly watching over my community.
