It's about a one hour experience where you choose your own fragrance; you can choose one fragrance or mix. You also choose the candle holder and color of the wax. It is bring your own bottle so that's always fun. They do provide the cups for you. It's just very cutesy very demure. I think I was expecting a more interactive experience. We had a Sunday evening reservation and were greeted right away by the young lady working there. She explained the process clearly, had us pick our vessels and scents, and then walked us through the candle-making step by step. The whole experience was fun and relaxing. The music set the vibe, and I loved that you can personalize your candle by naming it and adding dried flowers. Once finished, the candles were packaged beautifully in a box and bag, ready to take home. We also didn't have to wait long for them to settle, which was nice. The facility has a clean, gender-neutral bathroom, which I appreciated. The only downside was that my candle didn't burn evenly, which was a little disappointing. Took my friend here as a treat for her birthday. We both had a really good time. We were able to BYOB so we did and also shared with others. The facilitator was very knowledgeable about candle making and she made it very engaging to learn. She also helped us with scent parings and provided us with tips on how to identify if two scents complement each other. If you're looking for a fun activity to do for date night or with the girls, this is definitely a good one. This candle making experience was much more than I expected. I was greeted upon arrival with all the checkin protocols which I much appreciated, as there was another group in session when I arrived. This place is a BYOB establishment which is a good addition to enjoy a libation during your experience. The hostess explained EVERYTHING and it was just so much fun to be able to experience all of the variety of scents to choose from and the colors of your candle holder. I believe this is a good value for what you pay for, I would definitely go back if I am in the area and the one hour time slot was perfect for my day. read more

Our instructor was super personable and sweet, even playing a Happy Birthday song off of her playlist as we headed out bestie and I both love a well scented candle so I thought it only made sense instead of buying her one, to make our very own instead! Jay was so helpful when I needed to reschedule and made the adjustments for the people that was longer attending, I received my refund with no problem.( make sure you follow instructions for rescheduling and cancellation especially for private event, call them). Such a fun date night/rainy day activity! There were a lot of scents to choose from on display - and perhaps it was the season I went (the fall), but most of the scents were autumnal/winter such as those similar to pine, "snow", pumpkin, etc., but when making the candles itself, the staff did have some non-seasonal scents (like jasmine, lavender) on their side of the bar. Instructions were clear and staff were friendly and attentive. The ladies working the day I went were kind enough to help my friend and I take photos by their gorgeous flower wall! While I do think the activity itself is quite pricey for something that ultimately took less than hour from arrival to walking away with the candle (20-ish minutes are spent to allow the candle to set), it is a fun activity to do maybe once a year or so. read more

Had a reservation for 12 with my friend and it was just us two so it really felt like private session. It was just one staff member working but she was super friendly and helpful in guiding us along our candle making session. First we got to choose a candle jar from their ceramic and glass options and then selected our scents from their wall of scents. There were also coffee grounds to sniff in case we were overwhelmed with the scents. I went with the falling fall scent. We also got to select what color glitter we wanted to add to our candle, I went with pink and gold and my friend went with green and gold. Then we poured in our scents and added the melted wax and stirred to mix everything together. Finally we got to decorate the top with some dried flower petals (pink, purple and yellow) before they were taken aside to be dried. I definitely recommend just wandering the area and getting something to eat or doing some shopping as the candle takes time to set. When we went to pick up our candles later, they were already ready for us and placed into small paper bags. Another plus is that they have a bathroom! read more

My only con is although we made candles, i felt like i didn't really learn how to make candles. Let me start by saying it is now SEPTEMBER and I just finished my Celiste which I had originally made in APRIL and is what I named my candle btw and it smells amazing. I will be honest and say I was a bit skeptical at first only because my partner had picked out the place not that she doesn't pick out great places because she does! But it's strong enough to compliment my living room. This was definitely one of my favorite dates so far! Also saw a group of girls having a birthday celebration that seems like a good idea as well! Please save your $60. This place almost caused me to become homeless. First off the place is very small and cramped. You do not get individual attention here. Also the woman helping us told us wrong information about our candles and it was corrected by another employee. When we left and came back because we were waiting for our candles to dry, the man was telling us information about lighting our candles and he was talking a mile a minute and we could not hear him really well because of the music. All we got from him was "you will start a fire" so we were terrified to light our candles. I took awhile to light my candle and towards the end of the candle a mini fire started inside of the candle. I literally could not blow it out at all!!! Not to mention the glass was very hot. I had to make a tough quick decision and fill a bottle of water to get it out. Worst mistake. The candle literally exploded like a bomb and almost lit my room on fire. Thank god nobody was hurt and the fire stopped. Please do not attend this class. These people will have you afraid to light your candle. My friend did a great thing by lighting her candle once and throwing out her candle. read more
