So it couldn't be an ordinary grocery store cake. So I drove the hour and selected the chocolate cake with raspberry filling and Italian cream frosting. It sat on my counter for 2 days before the birthday. What a fantastic cake! It was so moist, not overly sweet or gritty. The raspberry was delightful. This will now be my go to for every cake need.

They provided the cupcakes for our wedding and subsequent anniversaries and celebrations. Every cupcake has been delicious, the staff is always friendly, and the store is always clean and neat. The flavors we love the most are cookie dough, anything with peanut butter frosting, and red velvet. Their menu has expanded and the brownies and cookies are really good too. Also, it's worth noting that on our first trip in (April 2013) when my husband was in his uniform and the owner came out and thanked him for his service and offered us free cupcake cards. It was a really nice personal touch and made us happy to be supporting a local business, on top of their delicious products.

What impressed me most was the staff. Three young students were working that day, and they were some of the most poised, cheerful, and courteous attendants I've encountered anywhere. One young man immediately understood what I was looking for, gathered everything efficiently, and his colleague had us checked out in no time. In a region already known for friendly people, their professionalism really stood out. The bakery itself was sparkling clean, and I appreciated that the tables were spaced farther apart than is typical, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Next time, I'd love to stay and enjoy a meal there. And the scones? They're some of the best around--always seasonal, always delicious. From the outside it looks like a charming New England house, and the inside is restored into a coffee shop while still maintaining some of that classic New England homey charm. I got coffee and a croissant and spent some time sitting by the fireplace in the living room portion of the coffee shop. Some of my friends came with me and we really just enjoyed our time catching up over a coffee and pastry. It did end up getting really busy so make sure to come either during the off-season or early in the morning. The coffee was really yummy and the croissant was scrumptious too.
