Here's my review from last year on the other location: I could tell by looking at the photos and reviews on Yelp that this place was going to be wonderful. Thankfully, when we finally gave it a shot, we were not disappointed. Talk about made fresh. Everything was so delicious and freshly prepared. Flavors were spot on. The service was fantastic. They always made sure that our drinks were filled and we had everything that we needed. My absolute favorite dish was the fried green beans with minced pork. Get it with extra minced pork and you'll love it. The steamed dumplings and pancake appetizer are also really good. Highly recommend! They also have clean restrooms with an extra large sink outside the restroom area so you can quickly wash your hands if you don't actually need to use the restroom. Pretty cool. We can't wait to go back for more!

After a 30 min wait the food came out. The sizzling pepper steak came out very hot and sizzling but it was incredibly oily. It was well seasoned, but way too oily. After we finished it, there was a puddle of oil remaining. The braised beef noodle was decent, and it was not special in any way. The restaurant was fairly clean, although the tables were packed tightly to fit the most amount of people. Our server was attentive, refilled our water frequently even though the restaurant was packed, and knew both mandarin and English. Overall I was mostly satisfied with the experience, but I would wish the food was less salty and greasy.

I have to admit the quality of their food this evening was by far the worst yet. A simple order of cashiers chicken that looked and tasted as if it had set in the refrigerator for at least a day if not two. The breading was soggy the chicken tough and the sauce what little there was was soggy dark and bitter I gave it all to my dog and ate a frozen entree. So last time ever.

TV: timed in to kids programming and loud at any point and time. Kids: the daughter is quite enough. But the son talks out loud....saying what he's seeing on TV....non-stop....and I mean non-stop. And he is loud, fast talking....and oh, did I say loud? And this is how this place was on this visit. And the daughter was sick and a snotty nose that was snorting around like all get out! Service: They are never organized or attentive at all to the sit in customers. Tables always sit dirty. And if you eliminate the two tables...the owner's kids dominate...I think that only leaves (4) total tables to manage. And I sit there...and see multiple Door Dash orders get messed up and/or take forever. This last time, a Dasher left after waiting forever. The new owners may be nice or well intended. But...they have ruined this place...for all the wrong reasons.

On my recent trip to Springfield, MO I had a craving for Chinese food. I used Uber Eats to find the highest rated spot in the area and was happy to see they had one of my go to meals, Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. I ordered the combination dinner which comes with Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. I had a sweet tooth and gave their Almond Cookies a try as well. The order arrived fast and fresh, thanks to my delivery driver Jeffery. The portions were very generous, the food was hot and very tasty. I'd say it's one of the better Egg Foo Young's and Sauces I've had from a Chinese restaurant. The Fried Rice was fresh and the Egg Roll was well stuffed, crispy and had a great taste. For dessert I had Almond Cookies, they were the perfect sweetness to top off a good meal. My fortune cookie fortune was fitting for the week of business meetings I was conducting. Overall it was just what I was looking for a stay in dinner. I'd check out China King on West Republic Road again next time I'm craving Chinese in Springfield.
