The company I eventually chose to do the work found the termite entry point, evidence of their coming into my home, and resolved it with a $350 spot treatment. Furthermore, if for some reason that doesn't fix the problem, they will credit that $350 to them doing the same whole home prevention for only $1150 total. And to top it off, the quote was only given to me verbally, the company never actually followed up with the quote I was supposed to receive. Even after I called and requested. Monday: Mom calls to set up her yearly termite inspection appointment. She is forced to deal with AI only. She gets through it and has an appointment for Wednesday between 8am - 11am. Tuesday: Mom calls again to confirm the appointment, as she is not sure if AI got everything correct. Mom speaks to a person, and they confirm the Wednesday appointment for between 8am - 11am. This same day, they are already emailing her an invoice - once at 3:09pm and again at 5:03pm (even though her service isn't until tomorrow). Wednesday: Around 10am, she discovers that THEY HAVE ALREADY CHARGED HER CREDIT CARD AN HOUR EARLIER, AND THEY HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN TO HER HOUSE YET! She immediately calls regarding this UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE, is forced to deal with AI again, and must leave a message. Around 10:45am, the tech calls and states she is on his schedule for the end of the day! She said that is not when her appointment was scheduled for, and she also tells him that her credit card has already been charged for the service. He apologizes and proceeds to get to her house within 30 minutes. Tech (Anthony) is super-nice and performs a thorough inspection. Right after the inspection, they proceed to email her another invoice with an amount due - even though her card has ALREADY BEEN CHARGED. Mom did receive a phone call from the office after the tech left, apologizing for the problems. Both the tech and the office kept blaming AI for all the problems. Maybe rethink using AI, instead of employing a person who could use a job. Because instead, you will be losing the money when you lose the customers.
