I've used D&D for my home and business for years. I will no longer use them or refer business to…read morethem. I was without water and called in to see if they could come check my pressure switch. She went over that it's $90 instead of $60 plus labor. Once the guy got here it turned out since it was a no water call it would be a minimum of $350. I didn't have any plans for them to do work on the actual well, I didn't need the "no water truck" and did not ask for it. So that was absolutely ridiculous. He checked the pressure switch and left and I paid $397, he wasn't even here 10 minutes. I called and asked for a partial refund and as usual it took me calling and following up to get no where. Elizabeth was supposed to call me back on Tuesday with an update and I heard nothing. I am not chasing them down as that seems to always be the case. They say they will get back in touch and 4 days later you have to follow up AGAIN. Hard to believe a company as old as they are can't get it together. I finally got a well drilling company out here on Monday, they were here for 6 hours and their total labor charge was only $600 vs $400 for 10 minutes of nothing. He told me its 1 to 1.5 hours at most. He said the company would send me a quote. I got the quote. They want $900 plus any unforeseen costs. I spoke to a few other electricians I know. They all live too far away to do the job. They said, they are giving me an outrageous quote because the job is too small. One buddy said they dont want the job, but are hoping I dont know anything and will just accept it.
