The food was extremely overpriced and not very good!! $16 for an overcooked cheeseburger (no fries chips or garnish of any kind) $4 for a side order sized fries. $15 dry wings. I have been be coming here frequently for the last few years, living only 15 min. ride away. The service is always good, the ambiance is great, however the food is suspect. I had tots and the Brussel Sprouts today. Sprouts used to be much better, not sure what happenned there. Tots are tots however the ketchup they serve is gross third rate ( dollar store) and the side of ranch has no taste resemblance of ranch dressing. Good gawd- being SURROUNDED by Covidiot/anti-masker/Trumpster ding dongs left me breathless. After consuming my drink (which was okay) and scarfing down my Brussels Sprouts, realized I'd not only been exposed to a possible deadly virus (and, no, I'm not afraid- just INTELLIGENT), I was more concerned about the possibility of getting just a tad DUMBER. The waitress came right up into my space without a mask. I asked, "Where is your mask?" SHe STUPID reply, "Do you want me to wear mine?" No-sh*t, Sherlock! It's a state mandate. Dummies like this chick are why this business may have to shut down, as they do not adhere to laws and are SPREADING a virus. Patrons were marching about, sans mask (for the owner, "sans" means "without") and making a spectacle of how stupid they look. The parking lot was a menagerie of Spreadnecks. The food is not bad, but not good enough for risking my health nor intelligence. The drinks are OVERPRICED. The service is mediocre. The views are gorgeous. No social distancing...never going back. Hope no one gets sick...but, hey, you get what you deserve. I cannot wait for this place to wake up- but, that'll be the day. I wish that I could review this higher, I just can't. The remodeling is gorgeous! On a Tuesday evening it was briskly busy, and was clearly newly opened. The staff was very polite and congenial, although haven't been trained up yet. Nothing of concern - it really is a lovely place. Then the food came. Wow - not in a good way. At our table we had a French dip, Havana (Cuban) sandwich and fish and chips. Every single person said it lacked flavor - like ANY flavor. My Cuban had no discernible flavor other than a mouthful of unseasoned meat. The fish and chips were literally the same that you buy in the freezer section of your grocery store. Even French fries came without any salt at all. Nothing had flavor - nothing. I'll give it another shot since it really is a lovely venue & I'm hopeful that they can figure out how to cook with seasoning. read more

I live in castle pines and this is one of my favorite hangouts. We are there at least once a week, if not more. The ambiance and atmosphere are amazing! The servers are all very friendly and welcoming. The food is great and they offer a large variety ( especially for a bar/pub). They have a lot of amazing bands. They have poker nights and offer a variety of fun events throughout the year. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun place to visit or to call your second home! read more

If you were a fan of BBQ, they're burnt ends are to die for gave lots of options you can order by weight ribs, smoked turkey... they have a nice Pizza menu and lots of delicious sandwiches. Can't really state it any clearer - stay for drinks, not the food. Burgers (kids) were dry and ridiculously overcooked. Ordered brisket, brought burnt ends - fine, I love burnt ends! But these burnt ends were crispy, over cooked and dry - not even sweet bbq sauce could save you. Wife ordered the chicken sandwich - based on the menu, images of a fried chicken breast, soft Kaiser roll and fresh produce jumped in our heads (add crisp bacon and special sauce? Oh yeah!). Reality: one and a half Tyson chicken fingers, soggy bacon and wilted lettuce - not good. We split the fries w/cheddar sauce - the cheddar sauce is more of a thick goo. Made us feel guilty for thinking we should expect anything else. The live music (local 80s cover band) was piped in so loud the server couldn't hear our order... I got the nachos, they were not great. None of the toppings were hot, no melted cheese, only room temp queso. I didn't get to order a drink either, the bartender didn't seem to think I was old enough so didn't even ask me if I wanted a drink. The server also didn't check on us except to take our plates and when my boyfriends drink ran out. My boyfriend got their brisket Mac and it was decent, nothing to write home about. I love the Wide Open but my experience on the 4th was far from satisfactory. We arrived to hear the band - website and waitress both said they would start playing at 3 pm. I went there on a Thursday afternoon. No COVID distancing going on upstairs. Place was wall to wall filled with folks. Ordered a Wedge Salad which was terrible. Basically a wedge of iceberg with pickled onions on top served in a paper/cardboard tray. Terrible...had it taken off the bill. Ordered a Rib Eye sandwich which was passable but nothing special. Had to listen to a woman on piano who's talents are lacking. In other words hard to listen too. Wait Staff were friendly but not efficient. Might be overwhelmed by the amount of guests that were upstairs. Parking sucks as most of the lot parking is for valet parking. Really? Suggest they get a new chef and upgrade the menu. I'm opinionated and have incredibly high standards. Normally trying out new places, I am left thinking that wasn't great and I will not be back. This place could not have been any different!!!!! Walked in, fantastic music, smells amazing, seat yourself (love that) walked around to check it out and decided on a quieter room. A super sweet waitress jumped up on the bench and welcomed us with a giant smile. I wish remember her name. So kind, not pushy, had a really great pulse on our vibe and always came by at the right moment to see if we needed more drinks or food. I think she had green eyeliner? Food came out super fast, perfectly cooked burger! Everything tasted fantastic, such a good vibe you couldn't help but smile and enjoy the atmosphere. So damn impressed!
