    Skandanavia Benedict - Perfect!!!
    Dave E.

BEST BENEDICT EVER!!! Joined good friends for brunch after church. We hadn't visited Trestles in some time and they had a new menu. The Benedict offerings were expanded greatly. I'd never seen a SKANDANAVIA before although on cruises I'd frequently enjoyed smoked salmon, capers and red onions for a light breakfast. I ordered it and couldn't be happier. The eggs were poached to perfection and the flavors were amazing. It was soooooo good. Also chose the potatoes as a side and am not entirely sure how they were prepared but they were absolutely excellent as well. Jayme B was our server and was very attentive throughout. We will definitely return for that SKANDANAVIA Benedict though!!! Incredible!!!

    Great menu!

Food was middle of the road, IMHO, and just kind of lacked all the way around. Service was OK, establishment was clean but expected better on the food side, especially at the price points. Classy surroundings, just not sure it is worth it. BTW, they let the red wines get too warm in storage, which affects the taste and quality. Hopefully, they will address this.

Have never eaten at the restaurant but tried to-go for our anniversary lunch. Reviews looked but restaurant was a bit empty during prime lunch hour. I ordered the ahi salad which wasn't bad but there wasn't much tuna for how expensive it was. I'd recommend more dressing as well. It's hard to tell from the picture but there's a heap full of lettuce underneath. The octopus was also expensive for only 3 pieces. I love octopus so that underwhelmed and it was a very salty. The favorites were the calamari and the tiramisu. If you don't eat meat, I would caution against the red sauce for the calamari because it did have meat in it.

I chose this for my birthday dinner after finding it on the hunt for a delicious shrimp scampi, and it gratefully lived up to the hype! To begin, our server was great, I wish I remembered his name. I ordered the pineapple-jalapeño margarita which was perfectly spicy. We then got the crab cakes, sourdough bread, and 6 dozen oysters. The crab cakes were awesome! We were both pleasantly surprised as both of us are kind of unsure on crab. The oysters were good, but not as good as Blue Island Oyster Bar's which we had a couple weeks before. The bread was obviously great. We then got the shrimp scampi and duck for our entrees which were both super good! This scampi was the closest to my step-dads growing up I've found in the area which was exactly what I was looking for! We ended with the carrot cake with jalapeño cream cheese frosting - an odd but spectacular combo!

I hate to write a not so great review but I was pretty disappointed in this place. Let's start off with the positives: The restaurant is clean and has appealing nautical decor. The wine selection was nice and the live music was a classy touch. The service was great at the restaurant, which I always appreciate. I enjoyed the pulpo asado. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the sauce accompanying the dish was nice and citrusy. The halibut was cooked very well, leaving the fish tender and juicy. The asparagus had a nice crunch. The rice was cooked well. The negatives: I do not know what 7 spices were used nor where they were used on the Cali style because they certainly were absent on the halibut. There was absolutely no flavor. For the price, I would like to taste all 7 spices! The pineapple basil salsa...... terrible. It did not at all pair with the flavorless fish. And you can't call it a salsa because it was just giant chunks of pineapple with basil and onion. The Maui style halibut was not much better. The sauce was waaaaay too sweet! Again the fish lacked flavor. And don't get me started on the giant cuts of unseasoned carrots! I don't know who decided giant pieces of carrots were a good idea. I will not be back.

Including the excellent service, everything went well at this unique eatery. Their menu will make your mouth water as there are many stellar food options to choose from. I'll definitely be back!

What a great find! Stopped in for a pick up order on a weekday. Location is cute with a few other shops and restaurants in a little downtown type area. Restaurant is well decorated and bathrooms were clean. Had to order via phone as there is no online ordering but service was quick and food was ready on time. The highlights were the Po Boy and In house chef made Tiramisu! Desserts are not listed online as they frequently update them. The octopus was our least favorite but is probably better fresh and on a plate decorated rather than in a to go container. It did feel over priced for only 3 pieces too. Overall, a good local find!

Juliana was awesome!, as was the Hostess and others that waited on me that morning. It was July 4th and I was originally intent on a different location, and Im happy they were closed, because I stumbled into Trestles!! The food service and waited staff were excellent and I can't wait to come back and try dinner- soon!

We came here to try some seafood a little closer to home than Pappadeaux and we were very pleased with our experience. This is definitely a more traditional seafood restaurant and their service was great. That could have been because we went in the late afternoon hours between lunch and dinner but we were fairly pleased with our food. I had the scallops because that's my go to try for any seafood place and thought they were cooked well. I was a fan of the sear and would rate the actual scallops 7/10 however the sauce and sides should have definitely been served hotter. The sides in general are only average. It really reminded me of a Texas Roadhouse. Where the main is fresh and the sides are more cafeteria style. The only thing they cooked when ordered was the seafood. It's very clear the veggies and potatoes and even the sauce are all prepped early in the day or maybe yesterday and maybe kept warm for the day in another vessel. That being said, for what you pay to dine in Castle Pines, you'd probably want it your entire meal to be served hotter and fresh. The calamari was of course freshly fried and their sauce was incredible. They might better as a wine bar with appetizers if they're not going to make everything fresh to order. Definite room for improvement.

Danielle's Scratch Kitchen is damn near the same as what I am used to. The chicken parm might be the best I've had (other than what mama made). My wife and I each started with a glass of wine, and then even though we hadn't planned to get an appetizer, we decided to order a side of bread with oil. The bread was amazing! It was a large order, and both the consistency and flavor were fantastic. There were a few different dishes I was considering, including the halibut, but since this was our first visit, I decided to go with the chicken Marsala, which many on here have raved about. First, it was a big portion with two large chicken breasts. On a future visit, my wife and I could split an appetizer or salad and then one order of the chicken. Next, flavor of everything was wonderful. Unlike a typical Marsala, which can be very heavy and overpowering, this sauce was lighter...in color, consistency, and taste. It was a perfect compliment to the chicken. Asparagus and potatoes were delicious too. My wife got the ravioli with pesto, and she really enjoyed her dish as well. Service was warm, pleasant, there when we needed it, but not overpowering, exactly what you'd hope for and expect from a restaurant of this stature. Very happy we finally got here. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

We stopped in for brunch and everything we ordered was really good, but the Breakfast Hangover Burger completely stole the show for me. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife.
