A gentleman that I didn't catch his name expressed his genuine condolences and sat me into a conference room. I didn't have to wait long and Zac came in to walk me through everything. I am very thankful for their service in our time of need and would recommend them to anyone else that has a loved one that needs arrangements done.

Joey greeted us and made sure we had what we needed. They had everything ready on time, were very accommodating and the place was immaculate. The sanctuary itself was beautifully decorated, I felt so comfortable, like I was at home. The bathrooms are super clean and smelled really fresh as well. We wanted to serve coffee and some snacks, they had 3 tables ready to go in the back of the room which I decorated and arranged food on. I brought 2 carafes to make coffee in as well as table decorations and some finger foods. It worked out perfectly. Overall, we were all so grateful for everything England Family Mortuary had to offer and the services they provided. They are 3 generations of caring individuals who put a great deal of pride into their work and mortuary. I would use them again in a second. Unfortunately, our experience with this cemetery has been deeply disheartening. The staff seem to pick and choose what they allow for certain families. I've had to watch my daughter's fresh flowers be removed from her vase, only to wither and die within a day, and her potted plants repeatedly scattered, with soil ripped out all over her grave. Initially, I believed it was the act of a remorseful visitors. But after calling, I was told crows had been disturbing more than ten grave and still, no efforts were made to clean up the mess when they see it done to many graves. The cemetery forbids artificial flowers, forcing families like mine to spend $30-$60 weekly on fresh ones that never last due to wildlife and lack of maintenance. The level of care and respect from staff is minimal. The cemetery disclaims liability for any damage to gravestones or markers, yet my daughter's upright headstone, something we entrusted to honor her memory at a cost of $10,000 now has a visible chip at the base from the cemetery that's "not liable for damages"! We've also seen staff driving carts and lawnmowers directly over flat headstones leaving tire marks on them, which is incredibly disrespectful, especially from those who aren't held accountable for the damages they cause. When weed trimming does happen, scratches are often left behind on the stones which is further evidence of rushed, careless work. Families come here to grieve, to remember, and to show love to those they've lost. The bare minimum is not enough. Our loved ones deserve dignity, care, and respect, always.... I hope they do better.

She immediately demonstrated extensive knowledge of the VA cemetery's strict scheduling requirements for its 30-minute services and explained how to make the most of the military honors and benefits available to veterans. The service was flawlessly coordinated, and I felt my father received the dignified, respectful, and heartfelt farewell he deserved. One recommendation I was initially hesitant about was Chaplain Erica's suggestion to use both a local florist and a bagpiper. In hindsight, both were outstanding additions. The florist charged significantly less than many regional florists while providing exceptionally fresh and beautiful arrangements. Just as importantly, they were very familiar with Riverside National Cemetery's procedures and had everything set up well before the service began. The bagpiper, Joel "The Marine Piper," was especially memorable. Dressed in full Marine and Scottish Highland attire, his music--including Taps--created a solemn, reverent atmosphere that made the service even more meaningful. His performance provided a moving and fitting farewell for my father. I highly recommend Chaplain Erica to any family planning a service at Riverside National Cemetery. Her fees were very reasonable, her guidance throughout the process was invaluable, and her experience with the cemetery's procedures helped ensure everything proceeded seamlessly during a difficult time.
