I have never written a business review before, but I felt compelled to write a review for Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont. They truly deserve recognition for their kindness and compassion. When my mother passed away, we went to Weaver to begin the funeral arrangements. Beatriz collaborated with us for more than 2 days to ensure a beautiful farewell service for mom. She took her time calling us and ensuring that the process went smoothly. Another staff member, Albert, showed us genuine kindness by offering us tea and water during our meetings. After we signed the contract with Weaver Mortuary, we discovered that my mother took care of her funeral arrangements with Forest Lawn in Covina Hills. Her insurance would cover all expenses including viewing, service, and burial. Honoring our contract with Weaver Mortuary will cost us an additional amount. I communicated what I uncovered to Beatrize, and she told me that it was ok for us to go with Forest Lawn regardless of the contract we signed. Their Manager, Sarah, graciously allowed us to switch mortuaries, reimbursed our costs, and facilitated the transfer of mom to Forest Lawn even though mom has been with them for 10 days. My family is deeply grateful for Weaver Mortuary's integrity, compassion, and heartfelt care during a difficult time of losing a loved one. Their actions and attitudes proved that genuine kindness and humanity still exist in our world. We are forever grateful. Thank you. read more

Man o man! I haven't been racially profiled in so long I hardly knew how to react. Yesterday, I walked into the lobby about a half an hour before a scheduled viewing of my mother who happens to be Caucasian . I, am and look 100 % black, because her husband ( my dad)was African-American. When I arrived and pulled in the parking lot there wasn't a single car in the lot I don't even see where the employees parked I'm sure they had a very light and quiet calendar for the day. A woman comes out of the offices and yells trying to pretend she's being polite but says it is sharp me in tone, "can I help you!" what she really meant to say is what the hell are you doing here? I explained that I came to see : and I said the person by name, not saying it was my mother, for a viewing Scheduled for 2 PM she told me to have a seat in a harsh manner in the lobby. I told her I preferred to going to the chapel she told me to wait so she could check to see if other families for praying there apparently Christian can't pray together in the same chapel unless you're the same race, so when she saw the coast was clear and no one was in the chapel she said I could proceed and go and I was horrified how I was treated usually when you walk in the mortuary that plays tend to speak with them soft tone and warm ness, knowing that we've all experienced some sort of tragedy I can tell you by Shadow of a doubt black woman walked into what I consider a lower class all white community I definitely was out of place and she want to let me know I was not welcome there. During the time that she spoke to me she spoke so loudly with a sharp, mean and intimidating tone I told her she was scaring me and asked her to stop. She paid no attention to my requests. I didn't make a big deal of it because I really needed to prepare myself and go see my mother in about 15 minutes so I sat in the chapel and prayed for her to her and of course to God. I called Weaver mortuary today and I spoke to the woman who treated me so badly on the phone and she simply denied everything and will not issue me an apology and said she would forward my calls to some type of manager. Choose wisely I would never ever do business with these people again. read more

We have used Weaver Mortuary twice for services, both experiences have been excellent. Sara and staff, Mia, Lori, Carey, Janice, Corinne, Holly, Jasmine, Briana, Courtney have all been wonderful. They really are caring, compassionate and professional at the same time. Our counselor Lori Lemento took care of everything from the beginning to end. We are forever grateful to the attention and detail to our needs when we needed direction and guidance thru a tumultuous time. Mom passed in March and I was very grateful for the help. I'm not a large account or a big spender. I just needed a basic cremation. Sara and team still treated me with upmost kindness and consideration. I remember still when Sarah said "your mom is in our care". I needed that so much right then. I had to go through changing the contract of 20+ years and start from scratch. They were very patient and detailed about that and how to do it. I can honestly say from both the business and mortuary side of the staff, they excelled at dealing with a first timer. If you aren't sure what to do or how to do it, they are very empathetic and use a gentle tone of voice, so definitely give your business to them. I will next time! read more

We been calling around to Different places, when i finally called this place they were extremely Nice!!!! David W. Took great care of us. I needed a ceremony in 5 days... and they got it done for me... David W, told me where a flower place was and a preacher. He made the process extremely easy. The Day of my Daughter's ceremony Sara was in charge, she asked if i needed a table or a easel and music... she made the set up process so easy! She was Great! I recommend this place to everybody! Had services today for my grandmother. Family from 4 or 5 different states not positive, attended. Apparently there is a permit needed to perform the actual burial, as Weavers has been pretty much the only service in town they have been handling services that I know of since the 80's probably longer. So it was a surprise to be informed that this permit was not ready. As it had been a week since her passing and Weavers "experience" there was ample time to arrange for this permit. So as a fairly full chapel waited, we were offered an option. Take her to the cemetery, perform graveside services then bring her back to the chapel to wait for Weavers staff to do the job that we had already paid and arranged for. The staff seemed to think this was an acceptable and somewhat reasonable solution. IT WAS NOT. And it was not until a couple of us family members expressed our strong disappointment and frustration with the lack of professionalism, empathy and attention to detail to such an emotional day was this "permit" issue resolved. Family and friends came together to honor our loved one, but there was no show of honor or respect from the "professionals" at Weavers. read more
