I love Wienerscnitzel. It's good, cheap comfort food. I especially like the corn dogs and chili cheeseburgers.

They're always SO friendly - and I rarely order more than just the 100% beef mustard dog. Highly recommend!

The food is great, but they replaced the drive-thru order taker with a computer/AI, which really sucks. It made mistakes and kept pressuring me to order things I didn't want to. I won't be ordering through the drive-thru again as long as it's there, as I prefer to speak to a human. read more

Did a quick drive thru visit yo pick up an ice tea and polish sandwich. Was super impressed with how nice and personable the gal working the drive thru window was. Was super bummed to see that although she was wearing gloves for safety, that she touched money, credit cards and change in the cash register and then grabbed the ice scooper and scooped ice and made beverages. This is total cross contamination. This is a friendly suggestion to hopefully remedy that. read more

It seems like eons since I began eating at Wienerschnitzel in CA. My confession is I have never eaten anything on the menu except for fries and polish sandwiches. I love these 2 things and I think people forget that these sandwiches have been served since day one. Fresh rye bread, sliced polish sausage, slice of cheese, a pickle wedge and mustard! What's not to love? Add fries, and hallelujah . Thank goodness they are not located closer to my house! This store was clean and busy. I ordered through the drive through on January 10th. I ordered a Chile cheese dog and a corn dog. I stopped at a Post Office to mail a letter and decided to eat my food. I ate the Chile dog and finished more than half the corn dog but decided to let my dog have a piece of the Frank. I pulled off the breading g and was horrified to see yellow dots all over the Frank. It looked like some kind of mold. I kept it so that I could take photos of it and called the store so they could check to see if their product was spoiled. It definitely looked spoiled. I then called the store and they told me to come in and get a new corn dog. I told them I didn't want one all I wanted was fir them to check so people won't be eating spoiled food. The manager told me to send a photo which I did and she said their inspector was looking into it. I never heard back. That evening and for a few days after I was sick of my stomach. I reported it to my primary care. I also reported it to the environmental health department of Albuquerque. I'm just warning people about this because if I had't of pulled off the breading I would never had seen this. Who knows if my Chile cheese dog had it too as I ate it and didn't look at the Frank itself. I will not be eating at any of their restaurants ever again. read more

I enjoy a good hot dog from time to time. This location is the slowest of all of the locations in town. I never ask for anything difficult of complicated (hot dog with mustard) but is always takes a long time to get my food. The staff tends to ignore customers and are less than friendly. read more

They had a special going on today, 50 mini corn dogs for $10. What? That's a killer price! It made my decision super easy for what I was taking to my friend's SuperBowl party. I called my order in thinking they were going to be really busy. Sophia was lovely and said she'd get my order going for me. There was a line at the drive thru so I went in. My order wasn't quite ready so I paid and waited. It was just a few minutes and I was walking out the door. The mini corn dogs were a huge hit!! With the kids AND adults. I've been eating Wienerschnitzel for 20 years or more. I've eaten at this location for over 10 years now and have yet to have a bad experience. All beef on a pretzel bun is great but the chili dogs are cheap and good as well. Obviously this is not fine dining, we're talking fast food but it's a nice change from McDonald's and the like. Some people may not like the chili they use but I do so it works out well for me. read more

The employees are fast and friendly,and when they don't have anything else to do they are constantly cleaning. I am guessing this is a family run franchise. I signed up for their email club and they sent me a coupon for a free chili dog, fantastic. I held onto the coupon for several days for just the right time. It was late at night after a movie and I checked Yelp for a restaurant that was open and the stars aligned...craving, coupon and convenience. Of course you can't have just one chili dog, so I got 2. My wife pointed out that it was small dip cone day on Tuesday (which meant she wanted half of a small dip cone, but she wasn't going to order it unless I was going to eat half)...so we split a yummy soft serve cone dipped in chocolate shell. I eat healthy about 80% of the time. I have come to be a bit picky about my indulgences. This one is a big guilty pleasure. It may mostly be nostalgia about living in our first apartment and not having much money. It wasn't this location and it was quite a while back, but there was a certain day of the week (I don't remember which) you could get 10 chili dogs for super cheap (we usually had several left over for midnight snacks).
