    Frito Pie w/meat

No visit to Albuquerque would be complete without a visit to the Dog House Drive In! We came for a quick bite on our last day in town. You can either dine in or in your car. If you park, an attendant will come out and take your order. We went inside. It's small but comfy, it has that divey feel to it. Hubs wanted the footlong chili dog and I had the Frito pie with meat. I think it would've been fine without the meat because it was several broken up pieces of a burger patty. Our food came out quick and the food was great. It was under $25 for our food including sodas. Highly recommend you visit if you're a Breaking Bad fan!

When rolling through Albuquerque, this is a must-stop for anyone who loves Breaking Bad and wants to enjoy a great meal at a truly historic restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. I went with the following: Footlong Chili Cheese Dog with Onions - B+ Chili Cheese Tater Tots - B+

Always a local favorite, I got my usual, which is a Frito pie and foot-long chili cheese dog. The food is consistently delicious. The service is always great as the server comes out to your car almost immediately after you've arrived. The food is ready quickly and you're able to get munching fast! Great parking for eating lunch. There's lots of room for folks to park and eat in their car. I think there are also a couple of picnic tables around as well. And of course you can always just take your order with you and eat wherever you choose. I'll always come back to this local favorite and I suggest you do the same.

Such an awesome and iconic spot!! This place is simply an Albuquerque staple and a must try! Chili dogs are so freaking good and for the price it's worth it. Staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Will continue to give this place business!!

Coming from watching my grandsons baseball game. We stopped at doghouse for a Chile cheese dog and Chile cheese tots. It it the spot. They were super fast tonight. I think we waited about 2-3 minutes for our food after ordering. Always a good meal. The chile had a good flavor and a great bargain. The guy that waited on us was super friendly. An icon for Albuquerque.

Came here and had the chili cheese dog and burger with tots. This spot was on the show breaking bad and while in town checking out filming spots this was the dinner detour for the night. Not expensive not bad and quick service. Can eat inside or get it via drive thru

Featured on Breaking Bad, we decided to slip in for a dog. Usually, these places are hyped without much substance, but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. We tried the burger and the foot long chili-cheese dog. While neither lacked anything to point out the Dog won hands down. The chili was made from refried beans with really good spice. I should have ordered an extra one for the road. There is a counter with 4 seats and 4 tables inside this small hut with 7-8 people working; clearly they get quite busy. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient with the price being completely reasonable for such a tasty treat. This is one exception to the Hollywood hype rule. Guess it may be a testimony to the authenticity of the series Breaking Bad.

Delicious. This is an Albuquerque staple. The hotdog is incredible and spicy in the best way. The service is quick, definitely an in and out spot and worth all the best praise there is.

Good food, but a little pricy. The footlong chili cheese dog was just okay, but the fries were VERY good. Menu as of March 11, 2026.

The Dog House restaurant in ABQ holds a unique charm, particularly for fans of the AMC series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Being featured in these iconic shows adds an extra layer of intrigue to the dining experience, and the atmosphere reflects the gritty yet captivating ambiance of the series... especially at night. Upon entering the dark parking lot, it's hard not to appreciate the nod to Breaking Bad...sadly, the signature neon light was not turned on, so the blacked-out sign sort of left us wanting for that "we drove all this way, and you can't turn your light on?" feeling... But for fans like us, it's like stepping into a piece of television history; it is still a fun, must-see destination for those who followed the adventures of Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, and Saul Goodman. However, my visit to the Dog House was a bit of a mixed bag. One disappointment was the unavailability of their signature hot dogs. It's worth noting that a hot dog joint running out of hot dogs is quite the bummer... maybe that's why the light was off? This limitation significantly impacted our dining choices, as we were left with options like burgers, grilled cheese, drinks, and Frito Pies. The burgers, while not the star of the show, were decent. Cooked to order with a variety of toppings available, they satisfied our hunger but didn't stand out as anything extraordinary. The Frito Pies, on the other hand, were a pleasant surprise. The combination of Fritos, chili, cheese, and other toppings created a flavorful and comforting dish that compensated for the lack of hot dogs. The drink selection was standard, with a variety of sodas to wash down the food. The service was friendly and efficient--as other's have stated, you just pull in and they come out to your car to take your order--but either we went on a slow night, or they're just not that into you anymore. Overall, it couldn't live up to the hype of a TV show, and we knew that going in... I suppose it was still a bit of a letdown overall, when their signature namesake food item was out of stock, the famous sign was dark, and the BB/BCS edge was all played out with our server. Maybe next time. Yo.

I hadn't had a real corn dog in over 20 years. They have a dedicated fryer, which is huge. I was able to order a corn dog, onion rings, and cheese on a stick, and it honestly felt unreal. It was the most delicious, greasy, over-the-top meal I've had in a long time, and completely worth it. I even ended up ordering a second helping of onion rings. The corn dogs are long with a perfectly crispy batter, exactly how they should be. Not the sad frozen kind... a real corn dog. The customer service was great. Our waitress handled everything and was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere is definitely unique. It's all clown-themed, which makes it fun and a little unexpected. We live in Utah, and I would make a road trip just to go here, and only here. I'm genuinely so grateful for this place for giving me my first real corn dog while being gluten free.

My wife and I must have stared at the menu for 10-12 minutes because we could not decide what to order. We settled on a classic Chicago Dog, and also had the Elote Dog, Tijuana Dog and Chile the Kid.  They were all delicious, but the Elote Dog was exceptional and will be my go-to on future visits. The Chile the Kid dog was my second favorite, and for my wife it was the Tijuana dog. The Chicago Dog was also really good, especially with the sport peppers, but the others were on another level. We got a side of Rosemary Garlic Fries which were good, but didn't make much of a dent in them because we were already full from the hot dogs. We loved the casual vibe and the staff was incredibly friendly and offered some good recommendations. I'm already thinking about our next visit and what I'll try next.

I brought my two young daughters here for a hot dog which they were so excited to have... And the entire time I watched the kid behind the counter that was handling the POS system, and everything else completely not changes gloves after he started to handle food... And then when I asked him about it when he brought the food, he looked me in the eye and just lied about it. He wiped his nose I think three times... And handled other things in the public facing area again without changing his gloves before handling the food. It's very simple step... Take the gloves off throw them away and put on a fresh pair of gloves. If you're too lazy to wash your hands... This comes down to management and training... It's actually not even the kids fault because I'm assuming he was never properly trained unless he's just incredibly lazy I'm really bummed up. I got the $12 combo, which came with corn dog of choice, fries, and drink (potato dog with half sausage half cheese, kimchi fries, and the pistachio boba for a $2 upcharge). I only had to wait about 5-10 min for my order to be ready and everything came out hot and fresh. The fries weren't hot spice-wise, but temperature-wise they were hot and came with about 20 pieces. The potato dog was thickly breaded and had a nice cheese pull on it. I got it without the hot cheeto powder, but the sauce combined with the breading made it slightly sweet? Parking is definitely an issue when it gets busier, but it is a small location so I understand. Online ordering needs to be improved drastically, the official app is apparently not connected with this location and the website is too confusing. My biggest complaint is how early this shop closes. 8 PM is ridiculously early for any restaurant, and I've just recently discovered they now close at 7. Really unsure of why this is, but it pretty much locks us out of enjoying this spot unless we both have the day off.

Look, you're going to die someday…read more That day will come just a bit sooner if you eat regularly at Big Boss Hotlinks, but oh what a life you will have lived until then! I tried this truck for the first time today, and my doors are blown off and my socks have been knocked off! The lady at the window was super friendly, and not in a fake, awkward way, but in a genuine, "I love everyone" sort of way. Anyway, I ordered 'The Duke' special, which is a lot of stuff I like: beef, hotlinks, caramelized onions, cheese, and green chile on a hoagie roll. She took my money, and I waited, thinking this was probably a mistake. I hadn't heard much about the place, but it seemed like with all those components, some of the weaker ones would bring down the entire sandwich. Boy was I wrong. The beef was beautifully cooked, with just a bit of pink showing, the hotlinks were smokey and delicious, the onions were soft and plentiful, the green chile had heat, and the cheese tied it all together into a beautiful gooey mess on a soft and inviting roll. I needed the extra fork she provided, as I 'got nasty' with it, caring less and less about what proper eating etiquette is, and more and more about getting it into my mouth as soon as possible. I'm not going to lie to you - this is not health food. Not even close. In fact, there really isn't anything I'd consider 'healthy' on the entire menu. If you're looking for something green, you've come to the wrong place. This food truck's menu is a carnivore's paradise, and it's going to cause long-term problems, but you know what? I live in the short term. It's greasy and brown, and just amazing. This would be the ultimate hangover food if I were hung over, which might just be the best compliment I can give the place. I'll definitely return.

The order was out quick, despite the number of people, so they were ready to get things expedited. We ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger with hot green chile, grilled onions, and a side of crinkle fries. One of the burgers was missing a chunk of the patty. The other burger had a good sized patty. We were quite hungry so we went right in. However, the first bite was disappointing with no flavor. We were waiting for the hot in the green chile, but it never landed. And the grilled onions were quite sparse, also not giving it much more flavor. The crinkle fries were crispy and had some salt. But they did not redeem the meal. Nevertheless, the combo was quite filling. Overall, the food never met the smell that attracted us to this truck or the high cost, leaving us with a full belly but no flavor to speak of.
