I've had this place on my radar for a while so finally ordered delivery. I got the lucky burger and the wild style fries as well as the Cookies and Cream shake. I've had regular burgers in ABQ that weren't this good. I've never beeen a fan of Impossible meat but I couldn't tell at all in this delicious, good sized burger. The Wild Style fries are Similiary to Animal Fries and just as good. And I was only going to drink a little of the milk shake but drank the whole thing. Good value, especially for a vegan meal. I walked in... normally, used to be, other customers got, a welcome/hello. I got a look and sigh. Walked up to the counter. Sigh lady says "it'll be a few minutes." Ok. I peruse the menu, another customer drops their shake. Gonna be longer. That's fine, go help them. "No, I can take your order REALLY FAST." Well, I was looking at the menu, but cool to be rushed. I remember when the young lady that used to work there was at the counter. 6-8 people in line, greeted with a smile and Hi! Welcome in! There was a longer wait, but it was ok, because the service was good, and so was the food. Today? I'll never return. I spent over $15.00 including a credit card surcharge (a business owner that wants to take credit cards but can't be bothered to be a business owner and pay their bills.) I left a $5 cash tip - I figured I'd the business owner can't pay the 3% on a bad merchant account, they most likely aren't paying the staff livable wages... I sat down and put my gear down, and waited... for about 15 minutes, before this garbage salad that was falsely advertised as having toppings and 3 sliced chick'n strips. The entire salad didn't fill the bowl.? On the bottom were less than a teaspoon of diced tomatoes. In the entire salad there was ONE "fried onion." The lettuce was chopped like slop, there was barely enough chick'n to call it 1.5 slices. Absolute trash. For 15$ I ate my salad, listening as Morticia Addams' understudy pleasantly said good bye, have a nice day, et cetera to the customers who were leaving. I got up, threw my trash, walked out. Silence: The whole time I was in there, a cheap speaker was streaming some crappy 90s "radio friendly hip hop." When my salad was brought to me, even after explaining it's very hard to eat, or carry , a salad on a motorcycle, it arrived in a to-go/carry out, lid is RIGHT THERE,.Morticia helpfully pointed it out, a subtle hint that I wasn't a welcome guest. As I was gearing up to get on my motorcycle out comes our antagonist. Not to be polite or anything. To smoke or vape. I didn't stick around to smell which one she was doing in the doorway. I get it, lucky goose doesn't want my money. They've made it abundantly clear. That's fine. I'll go to Steelbender, where they have vegan options, and like that customers come on to give them money. Let me start out by saying I've been aware of the lucky Goose for quite some time but had not thought of it when I'm going out... not until today. Though I'm not vegan I was very excited at the prospect of having a good meal that is vegan. Unfortunately, we had disappointing experience. Food: so-so... I had the triple patty, lucky burger, my partner had the double lucky double burger minus one patty. We shared the lucky fries. The total was just under $30. My partner eats light, but he did not realize how thin a single burger actually was. He said if he went back, he would definitely have the double patty next time because that's still not equal to one patty in most places. The triple lucky that I had was just messy. I ate it with knife and fork on the paper that covered the tray on which it was served. Between the messiness, the soft bun (not toasted) and having to use a knife & fork to eat it off a piece of paper covering the tray on which all the food was served was not a great eating experience. Finally, the french fries the lucky fries, was just the regular basket of fries with their lucky toppings. The amount of toppings was so light as to be ridiculous given the amount of the up charge. Service: Zero charm, Zero finesse! I, in principle, DO NOT ever leave a gratuity with my order on these iPads where the order is taken totaled and paid for. Simply put, tipping before service makes no sense to me. There were two females working the counter and serving the food. The only pleasant moment in all of it was when the female who took our order also served the table. She put the tray down and was very sweet in her presentation, which was brief. We both could not help thinking it might have been because we had the cash gratuity sitting out on the table. I have no way of knowing if that was it or not, but given the quality of interaction with these two females up to that point... I did address this with them both before we left. I feel like I was gentle, but also to the point. When a female apparently became so upset that she had remove herself and the second female hung in with a lot of bravado, making an absolutely insincere apology... Ending it with "I don't know what else to say". My response to that was "something with a little sincerity would be helpful". Ambience: the lounge area was very inviting, but unfortunately, when we entered into it, the gentleman behind the bar informed us that it was closing for the day. The dining area was more than sufficient comfortable no complaints. Apparently, we've missed the hey-day of the Lucky Goose because based on this experience, I would guess that it is on its way out. read more

I've seen this spot in Nob Hill for a minute, but never stopped in. I managed to convince a coworker to give it a try with me! Be prepared, if you don't know, or didn't notice, it is all plant based meals. The counter service was very nice and patient with us when we were deciding what to do in real time. We went ahead and tried the lucky burger and the lucky chick'n and split the two. Of course we got fries and topped our meal off with two shakes. They both tasted great in my opinion. I liked the crunch of the chick'n sandwich. I think for the lucky burger I would get an extra patty, but overall a good burger! They have quite a few other chick'n sandwich options, like bbq and buffalo and even a phantom rib sando that I want to try. I am not vegan, but I like to partake in all culinary options and Lucky Goose is a good option if you are opting to try something different. read more

I don't know how I could have missed that this place existed until a location appeared up off of Wyoming. That said, this review is for the Nob Hill location where I ended up for one of their Irish music jam sessions of all things! The place is a bit of a dual storefront with one side more loungey and the other side more table/chairs restaurant-y. You order at the counter and your food gets brought out to you. This place is vegan and has a variety of vegan 'fake meat' style options. I had the fries and the original chik'n with slaw, friends had the rib sandwich and the burger. Everyone raved! Only draw back with the slaw was that it did make the chik'n a bit soggy by the end of the sandwich because it was pretty saucy. But still absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly. When I say I want to be fully plant based, this is what I expect ALL of my food to taste like. I'm so sad I don't live in this state because this is by far the best vegan food I've had while dining out. First of all, the thin mint milkshake?! You had me a thin mints but you kept me after my first sip. I had to pause and make sure it was in fact plant based. Delicious! Then I had the spicy bbq burger. Again, shocked that the cheese wasn't dairy and the "meat" patties had me fooled. Honestly so good. So so sooo good. I can't wait to schedule another work trip here just so I can eat here again. I don't often prioritize going out for burger type meals but I have been to Lucky Goose a couple times and loved it. The first time was in Feb 2023 and that time I liked the way the patties were prepared better as they were more crispy and well cooked. The second time I went in June 2025 was delicious but the patties were less crispy and I liked them less. Both times I LOVED the green chili pieces and lucky sauce on the fries and put them both on my burger as well. The green chili ,the lucky sauce and fries are the best part for me here-- SOOOO good. Their prices seem a little high to me but the food is really yummy. It's a casual place with counter service. A couple tables outside. When I have their crispy fries loaded with green chillies and lucky sauce in front of me I for sure feel like a lucky goose! :) read more

Overall it was good the food was good the restaurant was clean. I'd give this place 5 stars if it had more liveliness. The vibe felt like a library very quiet. The shake stole the show I'd go back for the shakes every week. I'm lactose intolerant I can't remember the last time I had a shake. Spoiled.... Downright spoiled are my hubby and I. My tummy issues got the best of me to the point where new doctor suggested going gluten free (among other instructions). Thankfully, the lovely people at Lucky Goose were more than accommodating (especially since I don't have celiac and don't have to worry about cross contact - and please be advised they cannot guarantee no cross contact but you can make that decision at your discretion based on your needs). Just popped in here for a quick lunch and had a yummy meal! I'm really glad there's a restaurant that meets everyone's dietary restrictions that also makes decent fast food. I got the lucky burger with gluten free buns and added cheese (vegan ofc) and green chile. We also shared some fries and those were pretty perfect if I'm being honest! I don't LOVE the taste of impossible (or any fake) meats but inside of a burger it was pretty good. The service was kind and quick too. I have not had a better fast food experience... maybe ever! I'm from LA originally, and we had big city vegan spots with highly competitive flavors and textures and lucky goose is the first vegan place in Albuquerque I've eaten at that matched the high quality and flavor I used to know in vegan food in LA. The "wild" fries were clearly meant to be a vegan replica of animal style fries at in and out a major fast food chain on the west coat / California. However, believe it or not, it actually put in and out to shame! I'm not even vegan. I would call myself 80% vegan so more like flexitarian and I felt like these were the best fries I've ever had! I added green chile to the wild fries and it was even that much more awesome. I hope the owner reads this and I'm able to let you know, don't listen to the nay sayers who say the menu is too expensive. The quality and care you put into the food shows. The lucky burger--- I got it wild style as well and added chile to it. It was the best vegan burger in Albuquerque and maybe top 3 vegan burgers I've ever had in my whole life when ordered this exact way. We tried the cookies and cream shake. Which is the best cookies and cream shake I've ever had, even better than ones made with cow milk... I was surprised. We also tried the matcha shake. It was pretty earthy, so my Partner loved it, the earthiness was a bit strong for my pallet but I still thought it was good. The buffalo chicken burger. This was good, I got it with slaw, it was good, I really liked it. This is the only item I would say that Vegos did a little more to my pallet. The reason I say that is because I felt like the one from lucky was a bit more dry. Vegos ranch was a bit more tangy and had a more realistic ranch flavor. But I still think it was good . The service was very friendly, I do have one more comment for the owner though. For me this wasn't an issue because I am usually pretty generous with tips. But some people may get concerned when they find out your pos is adding tip percentage on top of tax rather than the actual food total how it normally is. I'm always hesitant to try vegan junk food, because it can be hit or miss in flavour. I have tried Vegos, and although it was a cute spot, the food was quite greasy. I came to Lucky Goose worried about the same thing. I loved walking in to the adorable decor and artwork. Although it was nearly closing time, there were about 6 customers in the small dining space still. The cashier was friendly and gave good suggestions-- we ordered the buffalo chicken fries, lucky burger (the base burger), and lucky dawg (base hot dog). My dining partner is not vegan but even so, he was bowled over. It was a lot of food but we were glad for leftovers. Vegan hot dogs can be hit or miss these days but it had great snap and tasted pretty darn close to how I remember real mystery meat tasting. Loved all the fixings on top too. The burger was extremely filling with two smashed patties. The fries had just enough heat to make us sweat. Today I took a friend to Lucky Goose for lunch and we had the best cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes (pistachio!). I suppose it's possible that I'd have noticed a difference in taste if I'd had a cheeseburger made with beef and a milkshake made with ice cream from a creamery. I wouldn't bet on it, though. We had lunch at Lucky Goose today. When they had a food truck, it was parked in our neighborhood, but we never made it there. Lucky geese that we are, this was because they had opened a restaurant. I had the Lucky Burger and my wife had the Lucky Dog. We each had New Mexico fries with lucky sauce, vegan cheese, and green chile. I'm so torn about whether to give them 3 or 4 stars. I have really enjoyed the tacos they had as a good truck, their fries and sweet potato fries, homemade sauces and chick'n fries. Downsides- the prices are very high for just the sandwiches, as fries are separate. It's not a lot of food with just the sandwich. The shakes are fun flavors that rotate, but there's something about the flavor of the vegan ice cream they use that I don't really like (and I really do like other vegan ice cream I buy). Got a bbq chicken sandwich. I love that the whole menu is plant based - so I can order ANYTHING off the menu. I wasn't impressed by the chocolate shake, had an interesting flavor... I'd absolutely get another chicken sandwich or maybe try the chicken strip sandwich, and each is prepped differently, according to the host. One is battered and one is breaded and battered? I can't remember which is which. Service was alright. Ambiance was upbeat but relaxing. Not too crowded on a Wednesday evening. Plenty of open seating. I'd go back just for the chicken. Yummy plant-based eats served up outside of your favorite local breweries. They were outside of Tractor Brewing in Nob Hill on Sunday evening so I stopped by because I'd been wanting to check them out. I am not fully plant-based but I am trying to eat more plant-based. I love that they make vegan options for favorite dishes like burgers and "chicken" sandwiches. I ordered the buffalo fries, the large is $13 for three tenders (chopped up) on top of a basket of fries with buffalo sauce and what I assume is a ranch alternative. The food took about 30ish minutes, but again this was the food-truck. I know they recently opened/are opening a brick and mortar. I want to come back and try the burger next time. read more

They took the time to check in on a homeless person and take their order and provided them a free meal. I got the chicken tenders and fries. They are good tipping sauce was delicious too. I would like to try more things off their menu just haven't made it back in. It's always nice to find a vegetarian place and the atmosphere is nice nothing fancy but comfortable.
