First, I'm not a Der Wienerschnitzel fan. However, considering the good service, low price, and quality, I have to compliment them on their fish & chips. Okay, their fries are not as good as McDonalds and Burger King, but their execution of the batter coated, fried whole not minced fish is to be commended. Wienerschnitzel, I saw this place driving home tonight and stopped by at around 11PM. I ordered a hotdog and a corndog for $4 total. I will say the guy was fast and nice and the service was excellent, it came out super hot. The place looked really cool, it looks like a older snackshack with colors. When I tried it , the hotdog tasted like a fresh little league baseball warm hotdog, and the corndog was perfectly golden with a hint of sweetness. Exactly as described, a Wienerschnitzel. My go to favorite is the chili cheese dog, well, actually two of them. Usually get the number 1 with cheese. Both dogs were prepared perfectly but my fries were a little oily. Still tasted good but oily enough that I didn't finish them all. Parking is a bit snug. Dining room is nicely sized and was clean. The bathrooms were open and needed a little attention. Other than that, works great if you have a hot dog, corn dog, chili dog, chili burger, chili cheese dog, chili cheese burger, fries, etc. craving. ;) Worked for me, hope you get a good meal. The lady who works the drive-thru has been there for years and is always very nice and thorough. The hot dogs, all beef, are always cooked perfectly when she is there, fries are hot, she offers condiments, and there are always napkins in the bag. I travel to go to this location bc the food is always cooked perfectly and never appears/tastes old from the back burner. The 4 stars aren't 5 bc I think there should be combos offered. 2 hot dogs, small fries and drink should not be more than $10. I think it is bad business practices to make up your own Covid rules. They are charging 3.09 for a large soda and not giving refills. I don't care if you have a sign in the restaurant stating this. If they are going to do this, then they should lower the prices on their drinks and not charge the same amount for no refills. As the manager is telling me that it is a safety practice because of Covid, I see their employees not wearing gloves on their hands while preparing food. What hypocrisy! I got a coupon for a free chili dog with a purchase of a Pepsi, so I figured why not? I haven't eaten at a Wienerschnitzel in possibly over 20 years too, so I was interested in seeing how this fast food chain had evolved. So I came on a Tuesday afternoon and gave them my coupon. I got this coupon from a Pepsi 24 pack to be used at your "local Wienerschnitzel". They looked at it dubiously but decided to honor it anyway. In addition to my free chili dog, I decided to get the new bacon wrapped dog, the "street" version, and a pastrami dog. Like all fast food, my order took maybe 5 minutes and was ready. Retrieving my tray I sat down and bit into my chili dog. Very typical and what I expect from a fast food chain. The chili is just terrible. The dog itself is ok, and the bun is soft and warm so its not bad. But all together it's pretty blah. Like a 2 star. The next dog I tried was the pastrami dog which actually really surprised me. It really wasn't bad. Like a 3. If I ever came back this is why I'd come back. Quality of the pastrami wasn't terrible and on top of the dog, not a bad combo. The bacon dog was last and also about as good as the chili. I initially thought I didn't get any bacon as I didn't see it. But after taking a bite I saw the thin piece wrapped around my dog. After trying 3 different dogs I concluded it'll be another 20 years again before I came back here. So I might as well go for broke. I got up and ordered a double burger with everything. Wow, it's really horrible. I mean horrible. I haven't had a burger this bad in years. I'm being completely serious. Years. Not sure if I'd even give it a 1 star. Really considered the sanity of buying a hamburger at a hot dog place. But they must make some kind of money off these things, otherwise why offer it on the menu?
