This is your typical Wienerschnitzel with a drive thru, an A frame building and a walk up window. I love a good corn dog, chili cheese fries, strawberry sundaes and more corn dogs. I grew up on this stuff but I didn't have it all the time. They have a special every day on menu items like ice cream cones, root beer floats and sundaes. I wish I could come here more often but this isn't healthy food at all they don't even offer salads like most fast food places. Well this is my place when I want to bring back some childhood memories.

Just left Wienerschnitzel and I would almost swear everyone and their Momma is there right now. There were at least ten cars in their tiny drive through section. The girl came out to each car separately to get money and make it faster for us. Great Customer service! I sure didn't want to cook tonight. I got the special 5 Chili Dogs and 5 Corn Dogs for $9.99 One Kraut dog, a large french fry and 2 Dr. Peppers. I am pretty sure that I will regret it later as I always do. But I just love eating here. My favorite thing about them is the hot dog buns. They are always so fresh and soft and chewy. They even have a Yelp sticker in the window

It's an old location but kept well clean and the staff always seems very nice. Lived in this neighborhood for years and always done business here and I continue to keep coming back. There mailers and coupons in daily specials are probably the reason I come back all the time.

We came here for lunch after my tennis practice because they were offering hot dog and chili dogs for .56 cents to celebrate their 56 anniversary. To my surprise they were pretty good. The hot dogs were a nice size the buns were soft and warm and the chili was slightly spicy. I purchased eight hot dogs to share with my husband with some left over for the next day for under $5.00. The service was fast and friendly; the dining area was outside and it was clean and in good condition. They also have a drive thru service and parking can be a challenge.

Disgusting!! Manager is touching the food with his bare hands. He just touched money!!! Yuck!!!!!!!

I love the concept--pizza on one side, incredible sandwiches and gelato on the other, all connected to a fully stocked Italian market. It's the kind of place where you can grab lunch, dessert, and authentic Italian groceries all in one stop. The staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The Meatball Sandwich is an absolute must-try packed with flavor and perfectly made. The Signature Sandwich was another standout because it's something different from your typical Italian sandwich. It had its own unique flavor that really sets it apart. I didn't get a chance to try the pizza this visit, but if the sandwiches are any indication, I already know I'll be back for it soon. The only small downside is that the parking lot is a little tight, especially during busy hours, but it's well worth the minor inconvenience. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. Great food, friendly service, fair prices, and a unique setup that makes you want to keep coming back. This has definitely earned a spot on my regular rotation. Highly recommend!

Customer service is AMAZING, vibe is AMAZING, and food is AMAZING! I've had their subs to go and not gotten around to eat it until about 1 1/2 hours later, and the bread still wasn't soggy! THAT SPEAKS VOLUME to the quality of bread they use for their sandwiches! I was NOT A FAN of their Kool-Aid it definitely lacked sweetness! DEFINITELY a spot to hit if you are in La Mesa!

I ordered the Al Capone on a torta, and my boyfriend got the chicken club on wheat. Both sandwiches were pretty good, the torta was very soft and fluffy, maybe a little too much bread for me, but still very good. The chicken on the club was flavorful. Both the Mac salad and potato salad are basic, but solid, you get a little 2 oz container with your sandwich. I'll definitely be back to try something else on the menu in the future. My only gripe is that the parking is very limited, likely since it's located within the local apartment complex. We had to park down the road and walk over to get to the shop.

It's in a big plaza so parking is never really an issue. It's a chain banh mi spot, but one thing I will say is they stay open later than most local banh mi places, so if you're coming home late and craving one, this is probably where you're going. The left side is a drink cooler with various drinks and grab and go desserts. There are menus on multiple screens, ads everywhere, and it's just very busy on the eyes. Then on the right side you have the drink station and seating. If I'm being honest, I would not sit inside unless I had to. There is a shared patio outside in the plaza though and if the weather is nice, I would 100% take my food out there instead. Most of the tables inside were kind of dirty with crumbs and the trash was full, so it just made the space feel a little unkept. I waited in line and the cashier was very sweet. I ordered a strawberry tea and asked if I could adjust the sweetness, but since the sweetness comes from the syrup it would also change the flavor, so I just kept it as is. I also got the #11 special combination banh mi and asked for extra cilantro because if you know, you know. They take your order, you sit, and they call it out. I waited maybe 10 minutes, drink came out first, sandwich right after. The strawberry tea surprised me. I really thought it was going to be super sweet but it was more like a 6 out of 10 on sugar. Once the ice melted a bit it got even better. It tasted fresh, fruity, not artificial, and there were actual strawberry pieces in there. I really liked it and would get it again. Now the sandwich. It was solid. Not mind blowing, not the best I've had, but it did exactly what I wanted it to do. The bread was fresh with a nice crunch but not too hard. There was a good amount of mayo and pate, the meats were flavorful, and everything just worked. The pickled carrots and daikon could've had more crunch, they were a little soft, but the flavor was there and helped balance everything out. They do add soy sauce and you can definitely taste it. I'm not the biggest fan of that so I'd probably ask for no soy sauce next time, but that's just me. Also when I ask for extra cilantro... I mean EXTRA, because I felt like what I got was just a normal amount. Overall, really solid. Good sandwich, really good tea, and a spot I can see myself coming back to especially since they're open later than most places. It might not be the best banh mi in the area, but it gets the job done when you need it.
