Although the food was really delicious and high quality (despite the price), what really made my experience at this location subpar was the dirt poor customer service. Very dry, tired tone of voice by the cashier and the expediter was very not thrilled being there, answering customer inquiries with attitude. Stopped by this location for a quick lunch. The restaurant is located outside of Parkway Plaza mall. I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger. The front cashier Ella asked if i wanted a combo, and i obliged. I was more ready for the french fries ( today's visit was sourced from Idaho ). Thank you Ella for the great customer service. As a former worker of the food industry , i could not help but appreciate the team work of the back kitchen. I felt like i was watching a symphony. The grill master handling the onions with precision, while keeping an eye on the patties. The second worker pressing the bun and condiments for the grill master to transfer the patties. Ok first off it gave me in and out burger vibes. The prices can be a little pricey. So I ordered the meal which is little burger, fries, sm drink 13.00. Burgers were very good nice size and made fresh to order. Fries you can get with salt or seasoned and even they were very good. They have peanuts you can scoop out with little trays to eat while you are there. Staff was great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The only 1 complaint would be the bathrooms were a mess . Was hungry and decided to grab a quick bite from here after shopping. My first time at this location. We ordered the hamburger, cheeseburger and little cheeseburger. The cheeseburger (two patty) and little cheeseburger (one patty) we added a lot if extras on it but the person behind the counter did not add it to our receipt (acted like he was listening and kept shaking his head like he got all of our add ons) and the person finishing our burger did not add the stuff we asked for so it was a bummer and it was too late. We were hangry and didn't want to keep asking them for extras that were suppose to be on the burger in the first place. I think the worker was training on adding stuff to the burger, which I understand and had patience for. I only ordered a large Cajun fries to share because it fed like four people lol! It was crispy, flavorful and a-lot! That's the only perk! Aside from unlimited drink refill at the dispensing machine. This location is just all-right. Probably will not come here again. I have to admit their fry's are better then their burgers! We found it interesting that the menu board was not working, so the cashier had to go through every item for those who had never been there before, it took quite long to get to and place an order. Way too expensive for what you get, for example you can get a "triple cheeseburger" at Charley's Famous Burgers in Lemon Grove for LESS then a single at Five Guys. It's honestly better just to come inside and have the order be done in person because the last few times I have done it over and ordering app they never give me a Cajun fries like I've ordered and instead just give me regular and I have to ask for the season to be added, or put in a cup for me to take and shake onto the fries when I get home . I'm glad they brought back the peanuts because it helps pass the time waiting for my food to be done. For years, I've told everyone whenever the topic came up that Five Guys - the quality and the service - far surpass any other franchise burger joints, even In & Out. This one in Parkway Plaza has long been my go- to location and I'd never been disappointed... until tonight. We walk in and there's no greeting. The young man behind the counter just wiggles his three fingers at us. When I greet him, he rolls his eyes and says, "What's your order?" Strange. This is kind of the greeting we expect from McDonald's, not my favorite burger joint. Maybe he's having an off day... so we just order and wait the fifteen minutes to get our food. We get home, open up the bag, and this is what we see: little cup half- filled with fries.. and none in the bottom of the bag. Are they required to? No. Has it been a tradition that we've all come to count on? Maybe. I mean, the least they could've done was fill the cup! Good burgers you will enjoy putting in your belly. However with that said I'm still going with only 3 stars because the fries aren't the greatest and the price I found to be way out of line for what you get. Compare a burger and fries at "Five Guy's" to a burger and fries at "In n' Out" and In 'n Out wins. It's a fair comparison because they both offer a very similar experience and both directly compete with each other for the same customer. In n' Out definitely wins as the better burger & fries by far just on value alone. Throw in a comparison to quality and taste and it's clearly easy to see that In n' Out is a much better burger place by a long shot. So in the end I have to say with the dollar losing it's value and buying power on a daily basis like it currently is and if you want a much better burger & fries that'll make your tastebuds happy, do yourself a favor and save your money and head over to In 'n Out. Apparently she did not hear me when I asked for one fry because it was not included when I got my order at the counter. In effort to avoid any interaction with her, I did not order the missing fry. Food- I heard so many great things about Five Guys and so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Unfortunately I did not like the burger. I think I'll stick In-N-Out or Habit. I've eaten at many Five Guys locations across the country and this one was no different. I don't normally review fast food resturants as the quality/service always seems vary. I always enjoy the fact that when you place your order at Five Guys, the burger patties meet the grill right after. The burger was cooked perfectly, with all the condiments I requested and well assembled. The size of the burger did seem smaller than I remembered it to be, but all the flavor was there.
