Burger came out cold and flavorless. Bacon was chewy from sitting out all day and then just being heated up to put on the burger. This place is pretty good for the price. Another review said that this place's burgers are better than In-n-Out...and they're not, but they are still pretty good. Another review also said that they charge extra for ketchup & Mayo...and that too is false. All that being said, this place is in a part of town that isn't great but their food here is good and the prices are good. I got the double bacon cheeseburger ($9.55), fries ($3.25) and a small front ($2.55 - refills for $.99) The burger was good and so were the fries. I got a lot of fries. For the price this was a good meal. My burger I asked for well done in the instructions when I placed the online order and I had to throw my burger away due to it not being cooked all the way. New to the neighborhood and finally tried what seems to me like a hole-in-the-wall type of spot. I ordered a double cheeseburger after watching "The Menu" and threw in a small order of the onion rings. The burger was delicious and dare I say, better than In-n-Out. Unfortunately it wasn'y good enough to make up for the disappointing onion rings. There was barely onion in the "onion" rings. It was really more of bland breading. Hopped on Yelp and Charley's had some but it's also down the street from my house. Got the bacon cheeseburger with fries with cheese on the side. Also got the peanut butter chocolate banana shake. It's made with real bananas! Super thick and delicious. The burger taste like an old school burger which I really do enjoy. The fries was decent but the cheese dip made it really good. Nothing fantastic but I still enjoyed every bite. Being late in night there was still a long line in the drive through. Only downfall about this place is that they charge extra for ketchup and Mayo so I ended up just putting some in it from home which was fine with me. There was one car ahead of us in line and they had us wait until the car had completely left to even take our order. They took FOREVER to complete our order even though there were three people working. The workers were talking and had no sense of urgency. At one point all three of them left to go to the storage room, when they came back they weren't even carrying anything and the guy bumped in to our car a bunch just to get back inside the kitchen. The customer service was horrible and slow and the food was not good. The bacon was hard, the corn dogs were black, the only good thing was the chili cheese fries after I microwaved them and added salt. It seems like the type of place where no one cares, I always wanted to try it because there is always a long line but I know now the line is long because they are sooooooo slow. We went there instead of in n out because the in n out line is always so long but I regretted that decision. One of the reviews won me over by saying it was the best burgers like how it was in the 90s. We gave it a try. Absolutely loved it. I got #6 double bacon combo ($11.95)It came with two thin pattie's, tomato, lettuce, onion, bacon, cheese, in house sauce and a sesame bun. So good! The fries remind me of McDonald and I love the shoe string fries lightly salted. I'm a sucker for corn dogs especially Wienerschnitzel and I saw 3 for $4.95. Had to try it and I'm liking it more than other places. Taste just the same with the batter and the hot dog was a size bigger! Oh and you must try the banana shake. Delicious. You taste actual chunks of banana. It was fresh, creamy and satisfied the sweet teeth. FLY PROBLEM. There is a tree outside that is inhabited by hundreds of millions of tiny flies. I actually didn't notice them until I'd already placed my order or I would have left. It's disgusting. The flies are INSIDE the cooking area. I honestly want my money back. I'm so disappointed that I came here. Little tiny white flies so thick that you're breathing them in. They get on the food. Came here Sunday night and pretty empty. Food seemed fresh enough. Place is kind of buried on the street and small so easy to miss. No indoor dining just some benches outside. One double bacon and 3 fries with a Pepsi runs $18. Burger was put together well and pretty good, fries nothing special. I really really appreciate that Charleys doesn't complicate the burger and fries!!!!! I've traveled all over the world and by far, this is the hamburger and fries that I always crave. It's consistently delicious. The fries are delicious, hot, crispy and salty. The soda is always good- never too syrupy. And , i just appreciate the simple hamburger- good pattys, not too thick- shredded lettuce, a sauce that isn't too strong tasting. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, so I can't comment on anything else. There isn't indoor seating so we mostly take it to- go. Service is always good too. I love this burger and this place!
