Bought synthetic/blend topper in Nov 2025 , base started to unravel and clips falling out, took back and they did enforce but the quality of hair is very poor it is so dry and ends are frayed and sheds so much, I notified owner she was very rude , I ask for a refund or exchange but she very rudely says they only guarantee for 6 months, topper is only approx 8 mos old and can not wear looks like horse hair, she openly lied and showed no concern or compassion as a cancer patient I expected More concerned. She had already been paid approx $ 400 which was over priced to begin with, Shame on this owner!!! read more

I can't rate this business the store is a absolute mess. I was pushed into buying wigs I didn't even want and afterwards they tell me there are no returns. The worst part is that the wigs don't even fit correctly and I can't even get them to help me out with them i have to say the customer service is horrific and I spent $655.00 on wig toppers that I can't even use. I really don't understand the no return policy on something that doesn't work for me. They won't even exchange them. Never going back to this store ever again. The BEST wig store in Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Fantastic experience each time I visit the store. The selection is huge-everything from basic short hair synthetic wigs to expensive long human hair. The staff is very welcoming, patient and excellent in educating wig newbies wig care. Much more information than I received at another local wig boutique that sold me a 4k poorly manufactured wig right before I began Chemo. Also, they do amazing wig rehab (service). 1. She kept trying to convince me to buy a wig that was NOT the color I wanted saying "it's close enough". 2. She assumed right away that I wanted a synthetic wig, did not even ask anything about what I wanted and right away showed me synthetic and tried to push for them when I wanted human hair. 3. I found extensions in the colour I wanted but could not find a wig so I wanted to take a photo so I can look up the company and see if they had wigs in that colour and she wouldn't even allow me to use my phone to take a picture!! After that, she followed me around the entire store to ensure I could not take any photos of the wig / tag. Bad business!! I asked if they could at least order one and she said no. If you cannot order one, why are you trying to stop me from buying one online?!?! 4. Every time I asked a question she avoided answering the question. For example, I asked if I purchased a blonde human hair wig if they could colour it red and they said they don't carry red. I understand that, but that was not my question. Hi everyone, this is very sad. I visited this shop yesterday and paid $50 plus tax for them to hold 3 wigs 'in good faith'. I called this morning to let them know that I would not be buying a wig and requested my 'hold' deposit be refunded. I was told it was not refundable as All sales are Final. OK, but I didn't buy anything!! I left the store at 3:45pm (they close at 5pm) and called them at 11:45am (they open at 10) THAT WAS A THREE 3 HOUR HOLD, NO PURCHASE. I've just read through all the reviews and they're mostly either 5 stars or 1 star. For the last 3 years I have been wearing wigs and 3 of my wigs have come from Wigs Amor. In my opinion the service is generally not touchy, feely, but everyone who works therevknows their stock and, if you're nice and explain that this is your first experience with wigs or what you may be looking for then you'll be helped. Cara is a genius with cutting and styling so a wig that might not be the most flattering during the initial try on can be tweaked, cut, thinned, etc. to be an excellent choice. I've watched women try on wig after wig there and be told by several people how flattering a particular wig is and still walk out with nothing. Beginning to wear a wig, for whatever reason, is a jarring experience. I did it because I wanted to stop coloring my hair, not because it was thinning or I was losing it to chemotherapy and it was still jarring. If you choose the right wig you immediately begin to get compliments and do you just say thank you or confess it's a wig. Your choice. I actually got on the website today because someone had complimented my hair and wanted to know where I got it styled. I whispered that it was a wig and the woman asked me where I got it. For the life of me I couldn't remember the name of the store so I took her name and number and looked it up when I got home and then was intrigued with the ratings. There are always two sides and I understand both sides that I'm reading. Please know that a bricks and mortar store cannot sell their products for the same price as online stores nor can owners or employees regularly spend 2 hours helping a customer who walks out with nothing and I would suggest that happens on a regular basis at any wig store. I, personally, don't have the nerve to buy a wig without trying it on. Either educate yourself beforehand about wig construction - there are many excellent YouTube videos - or ask when you get to the store. Be honest at the beginning about what you are willing to spend and when you find a wig or two to try on ask the price before you even put it on your head. If you're a first time purchaser take someone you trust with you and believe them if they say the wig looks great. It's amazing how we as women don't see ourselves realistically. Then wear it and enjoy popping it on your head and going from "yuck" to wonderful in 30 seconds. My hairdresser recommended Wigs Amor to me and I'm a very happy customer. read more

Terrible, very messy shop with absolutely no customer service focus. The owner took a call in the middle of talking to us and ultimately walked away and kept talking!!! This happened several times while my friend was looking for wigs. The brochures they have at the check-out desk are titled "Are you going to Heaven?" and "Are you going to heaven or hell?" (2 brochures) How is that for the customers that are there buying wigs because they lost all their hair to chemo!!!! Every single one is facing a life-altering and possibly, life ending disease and process. DO NOT take anyone there that you love and want to support and comfort during this process. What an experience my first visit to the wigs Amore store was. I was greeted with a curt pointing to what I was interested in. When I asked for some advice and education on options she might suggest, that was met by a large sigh. When I commented on "the sigh'" it was pointed out to me that what I came in asking for would not work for me. To which I politely said that I needed help and her professional recommendation. After another few minutes of my apparent annoyance of bothering to stop in the store needing her professional advice she got what wanted; my telling her I was sure there was another wig store in town that could be of more help to me and walked out the door. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience and this store should be on the news for lousy business who cheat customers. Ready? Invited to Texas to see my son and his lovely wife and my new grand daughter. I wanted to look a bit different from my natural head of hair. My client shared her secret to her lavish hairstyle ... a wig. I looked up wigs on google and landed on Wigs Amore. I didn't think to check YELP or some kind of recommends before I drove 20 miles to the 101 and Mayo. In the door there was another customer with a lady whose English and style was impeccable. A shorter Asian gal was behind the counter and I approached her letting her know this is my 1st time ever to buy a wig and I needed some professional guidance. I could barely understand her and I wanted to wait for the other gal and it was taking a long time. She assured me she could help me. I wanted a longer hair wig and I chose 3. She said all of them were beautiful and she wouldn't even look at me. It was like she was a robot and I could have spaghetti on my head and she would have said the same thing. The wig was too big that looked better than the others and she said my head was shaped funny and she would pin it and stitch it to fit. I was hesitant and I went with her suggestion anyway. The wig was $240 and I remember seeing it for much less online so I did mention this to her. She said she would give me the price I saw online. When I got home, I immediately showed my friends who are all honest about what looks good and none of them were thrilled. They said it did look like a wig on me and couldn't believe someone would actually let me buy it and wear it in public. After my vacation, I called Wigs Amore. The gal who answered spoke English very well, I could understand her and she was very kind and understanding. She apologized profusely and shared with me that this isn't the 1st time this has happened since they have been in business. She asked me to drive back and see what we could do. I was elated to feel that I would get with an associate who would actually fit me to a wig that looked attractive on me. I arrived and sitting in the chair was a mature woman who asked me my opinion on her wig and I actually liked it. The price of course was blown up and she too looked online and found something somewhere else for 1/2 price. I approached the Asian woman who is the owner with the wig in my hand and she didn't look directly at me and she immediately said "You bought it, you keep it." She was helping someone else, asked me to wait, so I did. I went back to the assistant and asked her what she makes of all this. The customer I had talked with when I came in the store, asked me what had happened. As I shared with her my story, the owner came over and said she was going to call the police on me for trying to persuade a customer not to buy.......I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. The customer told her I was saying nothing wrong and stuck up for me letting the owner know if she called the cops, she would leave too. Sooooo, I waited for 30 minutes or so patiently until the owner was free. My intention was to put this $180 towards a more attractive wig for myself, one that actually fit me and complimented my person. I approached her, she said she wouldn't help me in any way other than give me a small discount on another wig. JUST AMAZING. I mentioned the lousy reviews she gets on YELP here, and she said she didn't care. She said all businesses get bad reviews ... Well, I don't and I have a business :-) I actually care about my clients and I would never put them through this chaos. The associate was very nervous and she really did want to help me. The owner needs kinder business ethics immediately. I left the store and I will certainly share the word of what my experience was. I am out $180 and it stings just a bit. One more thing!! Before the mature gal left the store without buying a wig, she slipped me her business card and asked me to call her to let her know how things turned out. So, I did. Going into this store was a very bad experience for me. I will never go back to this store. It was my first time buying a wig. When we walked in, we noticed that they have a large selection. I had a general idea of what I wanted but wanted to walk around and look at options. I had to mention this several times to the gentleman that offered to help us. Instead he hovered next to me and I felt pressured. I asked to try on a few wigs, 4 to be exact, and he was accommodating but I felt very rushed. He told me that I didn't like any of the wigs that I tried on because I'm not used to wearing wigs. Then he said that if I wanted to try any other wigs on, I would have to pay $10/wig (which they would credit if I purchased) and held out his hand to be paid in advance. Again, I felt very pressured and rushed. I asked why he didn't explain this policy when we walked in and he said he didn't have to. I found that offensive. We decided to leave and he started arguing his position. I don't care about his reasons...I think that was bad customer service all around. He had no empathy or patience for the emotional situation of his clients. We ended up finding a wig store in Old Town Scottsdale. They had amazing service, did not charge to try on extra wigs, and were kind and empathetic. We ended up buying a very expensive wig there. read more

I had a most interesting shopping experience early on a Tuesday afternoon. My lovely wife had wished to purchase a wig and as we drove down Scottsdale Rd. to get some lunch we passed a wig shop and she wanted to come back after we ate. I'm glad we did! A lovely, neat, well stocked shop with just one salesperson there and lucky for us it was Kara. She was more than helpful showing us many different styled wigs, and I got to choose a couple myself. I asked Kara where her family was from and she replied "Korea". She said the store owners were Korean too. I asked about the current problems with North Korea and from there she presented the most interesting, sad, and informative look at the history of Korea since WW-II. I was mesmerized by her personal family story of being on both sides of the Korean border, how sad. There were literally several hundreds of wigs lining the walls of the store. An impressive display of styles and colors. We found a wig we liked (and I chose) and Kara fitted it, cut the bangs some and basically styled it and taught my wife how to care for it and wear it! She has gotten rave reviews from friends and family that truly loved it. I carefully read all the reviews and found it difficult to believe some of the negativity but understandable when certain emotions are stirred up. We will certainly return, brava Kara! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Horrible customer service and product! My sister and I both bought hair extensions from this shop being told that we were buying 100% real human hair. When we went to style them with a flat iron the hair burned and singed!! I was lucky enough to be at a hair salon when this happened and that is when the hair stylists informed me that we were lied to and it was not human hair. I went back to the store to return them since they falsely advertised what they were selling. They got aggressive quickly since I had already sent in my hair stylist friend to help me out. Every associate raised their voice at me and stated "why would we lie" and that "we have been in business for 40 years." Of course I did not get my money back or real human hair extensions, so I hope to save someone the headache I went through by writing this review. read more

I purchased two wigs here - the second one started looking very ratty after a few months so I took it back - I was told it was because it was a standard cap and I probably wanted a mono cap - I had no idea there was a difference. The owner just brought a wig out and told me it looked the best (I agreed). Had I known there was a difference, I wouldn't have chosen it. I found another one that I liked but when I asked if I could exchange and pay the difference I was told no, they don't take them back. Then the owner disappeared when I started asking questions, leaving me with her employee who told me she disappears all the time when there is conflict. I purchased a wig here a few months ago to surprise my husband for our wedding Anniversary When I was in trying on the wigs, the woman who was helping me, I don't know her name but she is Asian, got obviously annoyed after I tried a couple of wigs. She had already decided that I wasn't going to purchase one. I did, however, purchase a wig that was nearly $200.00 and I love it. Her customer service was horrible. So now, here's the rest of the story. I was out of town a couple of weeks ago and my husband decided to surprise me and buy me a wig. They do have a sign on the counter that says you cannot return the wigs. My husband told the woman that I was out of town and he was surprising me and she said that we could exchange the wig if I did not like it. Trust me, my husband would not have purchased the wig if that was not the case. I tried the wig on and it is a beautiful wig. It was $300.00. However, the color did not look good on me. Too dark for my pail skin. We just went in to "exchange" the wig and that same woman that told my husband that we could exchange it if I didn't like it, called my husband and liar and accused me of wearing the wig. She said she could smell it and that it looked worn out. I had the wig on all of about 5 minutes trying to decide if I liked it. I would love to purchase some more wigs,it's kind of fun but it certainly won't be from" Wigs Amor." Take your business somewhere else where your money will be appreciated. She does not deserve your business. I have never written a bad review before but after being treated so poorly, I felt it was necessary. I am a consumer of Wigs Amor. I was intimidated to go into the store as I walked by the first time. My daughter convinced me to go. From the first day I walked into the store the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. I am a retired cosmetologist and I thought I knew what I wanted. All I can say is, don't ever go here. The Asian lady that was there is very devious. I paid three hundred dollars for a wig. I put a hundred down and came back the following week to pick it up. It obviously wasn't the same one I purchased. I went back in immediately and she said, no you crazy is same wig. I took it home washed it, hoping that would make it look better, nope the thing is obviously an old wig, really frizzy ugly I wouldn't wear it for Halloween. My Wife purchased a wig from Amor in May for our anniversary and everything was fine. I purchased a second wig 10 days ago while my wife was on vacation. I plainly saw the notice that wigs cannot be exchanged or returned. When I brought that up as my wife was out of town I was told not to worry if she didn't like it exchange it. Well my wife got back and didn't like the color so we went to exchange it, not return it. She would not exchange it as she had told me. She said she told me only one one day to exchange. As my wife was out of town for a week I certainly wouldn't have purchased it. Lie number 1. She then proceeded to smell the inside of the wig and told my wife she had worn it. My wife swore to her that she hadn't worn it which by the way she hadn't. I should have read the sign and come back later. Unfortunately I take people at their word. My fault. Use your better judgement when dealing with this lady. I will be going to the better business bureau and small claims court.
