We got Stephanie Ellis!! She is great. She did exactly what we were hoping for and my granddaughters hair looks and feels amazing. I am so appreciative of the care and time that was taken. She's 9. And it's important for her to experience something special. And Stephanie made her feel so special. Disappointing experience…read more. Came in excited after seeing great curly cut results on my mom and niece. I paid $130 and left with barely a trim..no real shape or noticeable difference. I didn't speak up during the cut, as the stylist's tone made it very uncomfortable to do so. When I asked questions or suggested changes.. she went from using her very animated customer service voice (which was also uncomfortable....) to using a sarcastic and condescending voice with an irritated look on her face.. (Noya was my stylist) After going home and styling my hair myself.. I was really dissatisfied and decided to reach back out.. the receptionist was kind and helpful, I was told I'd get a phone call THAT DAY as well as a follow up text to rebook with the same stylist. well.. I didn't get the call but did get the text the NEXT DAY.. so i decided to just go elsewhere. Paid $25 at another salon and got exactly what I wanted. I'm sure it works for some, but for me, $130 for a trim vs. $25 for a great cut says everything. Culture club is a no for me.. they're #1 to pop up on google when you search "curly cut abq" but someone who cares about their clients satisfaction is much more fulfilling of an experience vs going somewhere simply for the hype.

The nice gals there tried calling her and texting her but she didn't respond. I received a call from her at 11:30 and she advised me that she was having an allergic reaction to some gloves she wore and couldn't work. She wanted to send me proof and I told her no, but thanked her for calling me and hung up. Next thing you know, she's texting me pictures of her hand and telling me, "look what I'm dealing with," as though I should be more understanding toward her condition. While I do sympathize with her, it is unprofessional to accept appointments if you're not going to show up, especially when your client lives an hour away! I will never recommend Laura to anyone, but would gladly recommend her coworkers! They were awesome!

So, me being so bimbo..I hadn't gone to a proper salon for 5 years (since COViD started!!). During…read morethose years, I ended up doing my own hair thing..and, of course, not really taking proper care of it. Thus resulted in completely uneven cut every angle you could imagine, coloring my hair uniformly dark with the most damaging thing I could possibly find..and the list went on. But..I was so glad I finally had it and took a step to pamper and give myself a proper self-care with Audrey at Ella Rose Hair Boutique today. I loved that Audrey and the salon took the time to intake and understand my needs..and really was able to give proper estimate/care to what I needed prior to my appointment. I also loved that the in person experience was wonderful. The space was light and beautiful. It made me feel calm and comfortable and I loved that Audrey made me feel relaxed and with no judgment at all despite how disastrous my hair had culminated into over the past 5 years of doing bare minimum.on my own. The appointment took a few hours as expected and I was very happy with proper hair care that I wanted and probably should have been doing for the past 5 years! I'm thinking of eventually growing my hair a lil longer and see if I could get some balayage and play with more colors with Audrey there again next time!
