Great local spot for tasty bagels. All the bagels are made in house and is very tasty. They have a large selection of bagels such as regular, garlic, poppy seed, everything, pumpernickel, and more! They even have the rainbow bagel once in a while as a special. My normal go to are the sausage, egg and cheese bagel. The portions of eggs are generous and it's rather inexpensive. My second favorite is the cream cheese and tomatoes. Love the cheesy and tomato combo. I think that you can't go wrong with the bagels that you order here. There are two things that took one star away from this place. The service here is really inconsistent. Somedays the staff would go up to you and ask you what you want and other days they will ignore you. Another reason that I removed 1 star here is the price of the item. Don't get me wrong, the bagel here is really cheap and justifiable for the quality. But what I don't get is the inconsistency of the prices. Somedays, I would order the same thing and I will be charged two different prices. Best bagel in Brooklyn by far. I often come here on the weekend to get bagel for breakfast. This place tend to get busy during breakfast hours. For the quality of the bagel, I don't mind the extra minutes of wait. If your timing is good, you can sometimes even catch a fresh batch of bagels just come out from the oven. I like to eat my bagel not toasted. This place will give you the bagel that has the crunch on the outside and soft in the inside, perfect combo for a true new york bagel. The reason I gave four stars because the staff can be little rude sometimes. I guess the good bagels make up for that. read more

Bagels are one of the things I crave. I always drive by Wild Bagels & finally went in. I was excited to see all the cream cheese options they have. Among the traditional veggie, scallion, lox, they also have strawberry!, walnut raisin and who has ever seen chocolate chip cream cheese?!?! They also have a variety of bagel choices such as plain, cinnamon raisin, whole wheat, salt, everything, etc. I got an everything & plain bagel & a small container of the veggie cream cheese. The everything bagel was a bit stale & salty for me. The plain bagel was nice and doughy...definitely hard to find a doughy bagel but I have had better. I like my bagels soft & these bagels were a bit hard...not sure if it was because I came at the end of the day? The veggie cream cheese was okay too...it looks like they make their cream cheese in house which is a plus. read more

I was told to go to Wild Bagels several times this past school year and never actually made it there because another spot is a little closer to school. However, I finally made it there in the last week of the school year, and man am I disappointed that I didn't listen to my colleagues sooner! The service is friendly and attentive and the line moves quickly, and there will be a line so be prepared. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap with fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers and it was awesome. The chicken was seasoned so well and was so flavorful and the roasted peppers were sweet and just honestly delicious. I saw a yogurt and fruit parfait in the cooler and opted for that instead of a bagel one morning, and it was a little pricey at $4.25 but it was AMAZING. I chose the vanilla yogurt with strawberries and instead of granola, it almost seemed like oatmeal; It was incredibly filling and delightfully satisfying and enjoyable. The one drawback however is that it is cash only, so always be prepared with cash. read more

We walked here after an exhausting day of shopping on 86th Street for a quick bite to eat. My best friend and I decided to split a bagel for a late lunch as it was about 3pm. We settled on an everything with vegetable cream cheese...and I'm STILL wishing that we had just gotten our own and so does she! SOOOO GOOD! I asked the guy for a lighter one and he happily obliged..it didn't need to be toasted or heated to reinvigorate freshness, and he gave us a HEALTHY spread of vegetable cream cheese which actually tasted as though it was made on premises! The veggies were so fresh and crunchy and the cream cheese tasted fresh, smooth and creamy with a perfect bite. HEAVEN! I am still dreaming of that bagel today and I wish I had gotten a dozen to go to bring home and a tub of that vegetable cream cheese! Definitely one of the BEST bagels I've ever had and I hope to go back very soon! ABSOLUTELY D'LISH! I like the fact they are located near me. Been a customer ever since they opened. Their food is not bad, from bagel, pastries, salads, cold-cut and grill!! Been a customer to them for years, but recently moved away for 3 months and now back. Seen the familiar faces of the staff along with a couple of new ones. However, I felt really unwelcome today. There were a handful of customers in the store (6 in total). While everyone was busy sandwiching, pouring and spooning orders, this one particular staff decided to flirt with 2 ladies. He started calling out to one of the ladies "shorty", and when the lady was a bit offended, he stirred up a short convo. After acknowledging the ladies were being taken care of by another staff, he walked away. While all this time I was standing right behind the ladies. As I was watching him walking back and forth behind the counter (trying to look busy-and hoping I'll be asked for my order), I finally called out my order to him after he tries to walk pass me for the third time (I was standing in front of the new empty gelato counter-its lower so I was able to catch him). He got a little disgruntled and frustratedly got my salad and had another person rung me up. If it's a new policy "no boobs, no service", than I cant be a devoted customer to them anymore since I am not planning on growing a pair. read more

I used to live a block away from this place and, because I work overnights and arrived home early in the morning, it was a struggle to avoid going into this place on a daily basis and racking up the empty calories. Sometimes, I'd also drop by in the late afternoons (just before they closed) on my way in to work when I was feeling especially piggish. The early morning bagels, when they're still warm, possess that outer chewiness and soft, bready interior that make for the quintessential New York bagel in my book. An "everything" bagel, untoasted with either olive cream cheese or lox spread were my go-to orders. Even the late day bagels, though no match in quality, definitely pass muster compared to many other bagel places. To wit, I have just moved to Rego Park in Queens -- which is a Jewish neighborhood -- and NONE of the 3 bagel joints in walking distance from my house are quite as good as Wild Bagels. Oddly, it parallels the fact that it's increasingly difficult to find a decent, authentic NY slice of pizza in Bensonhurst of all places, yet Rego Park offers a pretty good slice at multiple venues. What's going on here? The service at Wild was always very pleasant and the lines -- which can get pretty long in the mornings -- are generally pretty quick. It's true that sometimes a mild language barrier would lead to a messed up order, but I can hardly fault those guys as I know from personal experience how thankless it can be to try to make a living in another country and in a second language. Mostly, though, the guys got it right and did it with courtesy and aplomb. "G" was my favorite guy there. Whatever they pay him is not enough. He was always quick, affable, and all I needed to say to him was "the usual" and it would be prepared to perfection every time. I miss the heck out of this place. The only thing I don't miss are the dancing Divas upstairs. Who knew a bunch of prepubescent girls could sound like a bowling alley? (but don't say that too loud; the dance studio is owned by the proprietor's wife, which I found out in a rather embarrassing way.) LOL! read more

My wife and I share different opinions, but the bagels here I feel are pretty good, but not great. It's fresh and I will eat here if I'm going in that direction. Bagels are kind of doughy, but for some reason I lile that, lol. My wife, however hates that. It's clean and if you come early parking is ok, but during week it's near a school and it makes parking very hard. People seem friendly and they move quick. However, I find that when I order any customized sandwich what I am charged varies depending on who serves me. I gave gotten a bagel with smoked salmon, tomato and cheddar cheese and paid anything ranging from $6.50 to $12.00. Look I ain't no snitch but I've been going to this bagel shop since I was in grade school, and let me tell you it's gone down horribly. First, the service is extremely slow. It doesn't matter if you're getting seven hot sandwiches or just dropping in to get a can of Arizona, they make you wait. If you ever get around to actually ordering your sandwich, they walk away while you're in the middle of saying what you want, unlike so many other bagel places in Brooklyn where they simply write it down on paper. While you're waiting, they take at least four other orders, then scramble to actually get them made. After the long-winded wait, when they finally have your food ready, there's a 90% chance they f*cked up your order somehow. Unfortunately Wild Bagels still holds a place in my heart for nostalgia, so I keep finding myself go back thinking, "maybe they'll get it right this time", and they almost never do. Either your sandwich will come back the exact opposite of how you ordered it, with items missing, or burnt at best (if you're lucky). If you decide to tell them about how they screwed up, you'll get one of two responses; either that they can't do anything because the sandwich is already made, or they'll tell you they charge an extra two bucks to fix the sandwich that THEY screwed up. If you're in Brooklyn to have a taste of classic New York bagels, take the extra 15 minutes to drive over to Bagel Boy in Sheepshead Bay, or just opt out for McD or a local diner, because Wild Bagels exists to disappoint. read more

They've raised them much higher than the standard for any bagel store in Brooklyn, and it seems like they add a few bucks every single time. I loved wild bagels but I can't give them any more of my business if I feel like I'm getting screwed over every time! Definitely an interesting selection of cream cheeses to choose from. Also the salad bar is a pretty cool touch for a bagel shop. That being said the bagels weren't anything more than 3 out of 4 stars. I ordered the turkey club on a bagel and the people I was with ordered bagels. The general consensus was that the bagel's weren't anything different than the other places we have tried in brooklyn.
