Kozy's has experienced a remarkable transformation in its dining offerings,…read morebringing real Mexican dishes back to Oak Harbor, Ohio, for the first time since the early 1990s. I enjoyed chorizo scrambled eggs, refried beans and home fries - see pic. It reminded me of my dear friend from work, Irma's family breakfast she'd share with us. Hubs had made his own feature, 2 huge pancakes, sausage & eggs, typical Oak Harbor diner fare executed very well; no pic because it's normal for Kozy's. We felt both of our breakfasts for fairly priced as they were plentiful. Kozy's still opens early for their regular breakfast features and has plenty of small town offering on their menu. They are now open later for Mexican dinner features as of 1/5/26, I'm looking forward for full on Mexican dinners to try! Jill, our server was as wonderful as ever--so pleasant, prompt service and kind, on our visit 1/9/2026. It was great to see so many long-time staff & friends still working there, under the new management. They always greet you when you come in and make you feel welcome. I especially enjoyed how enthusiastic the staff were about the new project and how the owner chatted about their new menu, when we paid for breakfast. The interior has been refreshed with a calm light blue gray paint, cream curtains, farmhouse wallpaper and tasteful Mexican pictures. The 50's mural has retired and extremely white ceiling lights have been toned down a bit. They still offer plenty of counter seats to dine at as well, nice for when you just want to quietly relax enjoy solid cup of coffee, good Mexican & check what's on Facebook/Pinterest a bit. Also, I enjoyed the beautiful Mourning Dove in her nest, in a small bush by the north-facing window, looking in at the diners activities. There's easy parking onsite and allowing quick access to the restaurant. They said they are in line for a liquor license but we all know that takes forever. I hope they ask town council for an amendment to get a boundary change for the DORA right away. Hopefully being in DORA would help move their license app to be approved. IMO there's nothing better than a good Margarita with my Mex or with today's to go changes, to have a treat at home. I wish there would be room for a nice patio there too lol! I'm so glad someone took a chance and opened Mexican food in town! I'm finding it hard to get excited about the new places popping up around here--it feels like they're all just trying to be the next burger joint, wing spot, or deep-fryer obsessed. I'm hoping we, as residents, can all lend a hand in supporting this family owned restaurant option.

We ordered a breakfast sandwich and an everything bagel to eat and a cappuccino and iced lavender latte to drink. The capp and latte were both excellent! The sandwich was good and the bagel was too but a little overpriced in my opinion...adding $1 for a smear of cream cheese on a $5 bagel was a bit much. All in all a good experience though and I would go back for coffee for sure. Thank you, Noddi's!

It's pretty small with only outside seating, essentially connected to a little gift/souvenir shop. Most of the tables were taken when we were there, but there were plenty of picnic tables at the part right across the street, so we just took our food there. I got one of their specialty drinks, which was a a matcha with coconut and oat milk. It was great! Matcha quality can vary depending on where you go, but I really enjoyed this. It wasn't too sweet, and the coconut flavor was really nice. I got. Cinnamon bagel with peanut butter for my breakfast, and they certainly did not skimp on the pb! So yummy. The bagel sandwich was also tasty, as was the caramel macchiato.

Breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, al pastor tacos…read more The short review: absolutely incredible service and food. This place is a hidden gem and let me say, they do not miss with anything they serve. If you're in Fremont, this is a must stop for breakfast or lunch. Full review: alright so I had a lot to say about this place and I know some people just rant to know if its good or not so I made a short review. Anyway the full of it is that a group of us were on tdy for the military and we stayed in Fremont for two weeks. We got insanely lucky to discover this place early because everyone there were amazing and very welcoming. The food was mind boggling because let's be honest, I was not expecting incredible Mexican food in Fremont but we tried it one morning and we became daily customers into we left. The breakfast burrito is not limited by the meart selection like a lot of places. I was able to get Al Pastor in it and if you never had that in your breakfast burrito, get it. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. I just want to end it by saying we had a great time seeing you guys every day and looked forward to seeing everyone. You guys are awesome and hope to see you again if we are ever back in town.

Atmosphere - The rebuild has done wonders , the place is very inviting and has multiple T.V. s around the entire restaurant and bar. It has a very wide open floor plan with minimal obstructions. It's very clean as you would think being it is practically new. Final grade = 8 out of 10 Service - our server was Amber and she was very nice and attentive. She was professional and made suggestions. With the food coming out hot and rather fast approximately 10 min after finalizing our order. Final grade - 9 out of 10 Food - Mom ordered the fried 4 piece chicken dinner. Her opinion was the coleslaw was on the sweet side but she ate it all. She said the chicken was enjoyable and moist in the inside with plenty of flavor. She also said the the mashed potatoes were real potatoes with some potato skin still present and the gravy having plenty of flavor. Her Final grade - 8.5 out of 10 stating the serving size was plentiful and the coleslaw being her only mediocre grade. ( As a side note take the slaw with an open mind after all she is 83) Food - I ordered the fish and chips - the fish was fried cod and the fries were hand cut style with the skin. The fish was a tad bit on the oily side and the fries were a good potion. The Brussel sprouts with a sweet spicy sauce had great flavor with a little kick, however the sprouts were over cooked and chewy. My final grade 7.5 out of 10 due to the oilyness of the fish and over cooked sprouts. Final overview- Yes I will be back and we had an over all good experience. When traveling down route 2 either headed to or coming from Cedar Point or the Islands it's worth a stop to grab a bite and stretch your legs. Don't let the gas station front stear you away. The restaurant is in the back and even if its under the same new building its definitely its own environment and has its own vibe!
