Wow amazing. I ordered the Hoosier Bennie. This dish was One of the most creative approaches to a eggs Benedict that I've ever had. I've been debating if this was the best breakfast dish I've ever had. For starters they substituted the traditional English muffin with a soft, flaky buttermilk biscuits. As a southern boy you had me at biscuits. On top of those biscuits was a perfectly seasoned, lightly battered pork tenderloin with two medium poached eggs. All this was top with hollandaise sauce and sweet corn salsa. Originally I was going to remove the corn salsa because it just didn't sound good on this dish. Eventually I decided to keep it on to try the dish the way the chef intended. The first bite was amazing and the second bite. The third bite had The creamy egg yolk and the corn salsa. This combination put the entire dish over the top. I think God I did not remove the corn salsa it took the dish to the next level. I'm literally planning on having this for lunch. Just got into town wanted a nice breakfast with family. My wife had a small rock in her creole omelette. She could have chipped her tooth. Manager took off that meal and by time her replacement was ready she just asked for it to go and we didn't really get to eat together. The manager instead of crediting her meal completely she took off initial meal and charged us half for the meal to go $12.00.. so she wanted us to pay $6. I had to call manager over and with persuasion she took off the $6 but it was awkward. If this had happened at first watch it would have been no hassle. As we approached the front door, we saw this sign in the window. Knowing we were going to order food that would total about $30, it seemed like a smart thing to buy the $25 gift card and get $5 free. I waited a while to talk to the hostess, and she seemed surprised because she said that was a "holiday promotion" (nothing about an expiration date on the sign, which was still in the window on February 3rd). But she said that of course they had to honor it. While I was inputting my credit card info in their POS system, a manager came out to say they would NOT honor it. This negative review could have been avoided if they had at least offered a free cup of coffee, but they did not. Very disappointing, and such an easy thing to avoid. The decor of this restaurant is so bright and cute. It did take our server a bit to get to our table but that just gave us more time to explore the menu. I was happy that they had libations, being on holiday I wanted to take advantage of the fact that I could drink during a weekday at 9 am, lol. I ordered their Bloody Mary which was fantastic. It was made just right and it was served with these spicy pickles that were sweet but then my mouth was on fire, so good!!! I ordered the Mexico City Maria's Chilaquiles Mexican-style breakfast casserole with corn tortillas, refried beans, salsa verde, queso blanco and a sunny side up egg. Served with skillet potatoes and a shot of jugo de limon y chile. OMG just thinking about it right now is making my mouth water and I am wishing that this was in my neighborhood. By far one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. My dish was so full of flavor and the portion was just right. My bf got the Farmers Market Skillet, Bell pepper, onion, zucchini, yellow squash, wild mushrooms, skillet potatoes, broccoli, oven-roasted tomato, melted cheddar jack cheese, two basted eggs and an Everything muffin. Shelby the manager needs to be fired! She is the worst manager that I have ever dealt with! She is a complete dumb nitwit moron! So my husband placed a to go order and they said come in 30 mins. So we got there a little bit after 30 minutes after calling in the order and when we got there they it would be an additional 10 minutes on the order. So we waited another 23 mins and finally we got our order. So our order consisted of a Mad platter meal, large order of pancakes and a stuffed French toast. So after getting home and opening the boxes, the stupid waitress didn't even bother putting in any butter or syrup. And the Mad platter meal was missing half of the stuff. She also didn't bother putting a lid on the grits and they spilled everywhere. The Mad Platter meal was missing 2 pieces of sausage links, toast, and my regular grits. They gave me some kind of grits that were nasty and spicy that I didn't ask for. It's spilled all over everything so the entire meal was ruined. So my husband called and talked to one lady and he explained to her that half of one of the meals was missing and that the waitress didn't bother putting in and butter or syrup for any of the pancakes or French toast. So she tells him he needs to speak with a manager and the idiot woman named Shelby gets on the phone. She starts making excuses why they didn't get the order correctly. She actually had the nerve to say drive all the way back up there and just get the butter and syrup instead of offering to replace the meals. She starts off by saying that they ran out of tops for the grits and than she starts smarting off that my husband was rude to the woman who answered the phone. But not one time was he rude to her when he was talking to her. She was more interested in giving excuses on and being a b@tch. So she starts rambling on and said that she will just refund the whole check because it was an inconvenience for us to complain about not getting the correct items. So my husband handed the phone off to me and I told her I said I don't want a refund I want our food. That's when she finally offered to replace the food but she told me that we would have to wait a long time again to get the food. A normal manager would've completely been apologetic and said, "How can I fix this for you?" But Shelby was more interested in making excuses and saying that it was okay that our food was incorrect and missing items. So finally, we hung up on Shelby because she was so rude and unprofessional. So I called over to Wild Eggs Palomar Center location, trying to get corporate number to make a complaint on Shelby. And the manager Natalie over there was fabulous. She was apologetic and sincere, and she even offered to remake our meals over there at the Palomar store. She said that it was totally unacceptable the way Shelby treated us and she said that she would call over there and get a refund for us. I will not ever be back to the Hamburg locations ever again! read more

I'm stoked to see the local chain bring one closer to my house. I have no been to all of the locations but one in my travels and they're all the same which I believe is a good thing. Consistency is key when operating this many locations and they honestly do it without a hiccup. It can be a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with the Hamburg area so keep your eyes peeled for the little strip mall behind Malone's/Harry's and use the immediate left afterwards if you're coming from Man O War. Keep in mind the place can get busy on the weekends so prepare to have a bit of a wait. Also, almost every time I overshoot the door because there isn't an obvious front door to the property and wind up walking right past it towards the dry cleaning place. Happy dining. read more

Tried a couple of different dishes at Wild Eggs today so I thought I'd update my review. Called in a to-go order and picked it up around 8:30 am on a Sunday. The usual massive crowd hadn't yet arrived so it was easy parking and I was able to get in and out quickly. We split two meals: the Crabby Patty Bennie and the Surfer Girl Omelette. We chose grits over the skillet potatoes. The omelette included fresh spinach, wild mushrooms, tomato, cream cheese, and onion and was topped with diced avacado, pico de gallo, sour cream and alfalfa sprouts. The fresh ingredients made this choice scrumptious, with my only complaint being lack of seasoning (lightly salting the contents of the omelette would solve this problem). Their version of Eggs Benedict gone seafood was another gratifying choice. The Crabby Patty Bennie is comprised of lump crab meat, fresh herbs, and poached eggs on the requisite English muffin with a lemon hollandaise. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the smooth hollandaise sauce complemented the crab nicely. The Grits of the Day had the added ingredients bacon, sausage, and cheddar jack, and while good could have used smaller pieces of bacon and more cheese. Wild Eggs continues to impress us and we will certainly be back! read more

This was my second attempt to check out Lexington's second Wild Eggs location. This time, I got there at about 9:30 on a Sunday morning (they're only open for breakfast and lunch) and there was a 30 minute wait. The place is quite small. There is a bar like area that is first come basis, but it was full both times that I was here. They have a coffee dispenser at the front, so you can have a cup while you're waiting... that's a nice gesture. I ordered the vegetarian Huevos rancheros and swapped out the sour cream for guacamole. This was the first time that I'd had Huevos rancheros on a bed of a folded, layered tortilla. Aren't they usually on a crunchy shell? I'm not sure, I've only had it a few times. The meal was huge and filling, it came with the black beans on the side and an order of potatoes and the eggs that topped it were cooked perfectly over medium, just like I ordered them. I loved my meal, other than the soft tortilla being a bit different than what I expected. My dad ordered the country fried steak meal and it was a large portion too. My mom got a simple egg and cheese omelet and a side of potatoes. She is pickier than I am (shocker) so I was impressed that she enjoyed her meal. The only thing that my dad liked though was that they leave the pitcher of water at the table. Our waiter wasn't the greatest in the land, but he got the job done. I'm not a huge breakfast fan, so I can't say whether or not I'll be back. I definitely wouldn't wait 30 minutes again. read more

I've written a review for the Wild Eggs location that we frequent in Louisville, and this location was, of course, very similar. I love Wild Eggs for brunch! Everything I've tried from the menu is amazing. The biscuits and gravy are typically my go-to order. They're my favorite thing from the menu. But, recently I've been branching out on our visits and trying some other options. On this visit I ordered the Yellow Submarine sandwich. It was very tasty! The sandwich is served on a large toasted hoagie roll with scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, and Habagardil pickle chips. I ordered mine sans tomato, red onion, and mayo. The pickle chips came on top of the sandwich, giving you the option to place them on it or eat them separately, which I really liked. They were super delicious! A bit spicy. Wild Eggs also sells jars of these pickles, if you decide you love them. In my opinion the sandwich is so large it could be shared. I only ate half. It doesn't come with any sides, so I ordered the potato latke, which were fantastic. Overall it was a very satisfying meal for around $13.00. If you go to brunch on the weekend you're probably looking at a significant wait (on this visit we waited approximately 35 minutes to be seated), but in my opinion it's definitely worth it. read more
