Friendly made scratch breakfast and lunch options. Very creative with local fare plus the standard favorites. The coffee is hot, fresh and plentiful for a whole carafe filled to top is yours to enjoy while your food arrives. Also a carafe of water with lemon at each table! Great service and totally worth the wait which can be excessive at times. The apple bourbon crepes are very sweet with candied pecans, filled with a sweet cream cheese and rolled thin like a cigar. This is for the sweet tooth fancier. Not for anyone with sugar issues. You get three of them with whipped cream and powdered sugar. My husband said they were like nothing he had ever had, awesome! Absolutely favorite brunch place in Lexington. The waitresses get to know your orders quickly and make you feel like regulars so fast. Plus, it has the cutest egg decorations (I know, how can anyone make EGGS attractive on the walls, right? Well, this place can!) We started out with basics like the eggs, potatoes. The grits are amazing and I dont normally like them. Every time we're there, they have unusual grits of the day that dont always sound good, but never ever disappoint. The food here is good, but the service ruins the experience. The way they split the patio among their servers meant we had 20 minutes after we sat down before anyone came by and the waitress was clearly unhappy to be out here. Then our drink order was wrong and no one ever came by so we had to ask the hostess to try and get it fixed! I recognize places are short staffed and am accommodating, but watching as others, seated after us, were being served in our same section before us while we waited. And then some of our food came out cold/lukewarm. And no one ever came by for refills or checking if we needed anything. Just once to take and order and once for the bill. Consistency is key, and I was glad that I'd experienced Wild Eggs in Indy and discovered one near our hotel! I knew that it originated in Louisville so I should have guessed there'd be one nearby in Lexington. As usual, I couldn't finish my plate. I got the wild western omelette with plenty of peppers and southwest flavor! That came with home fries and a muffin of my choosing. I went for blueberry, and it was just right - nice crust on the outside and fluffy on the inside! You can't miss with their freshly-squeezed OJ. It's pricey, but that's because it's just that good and is work intensive for them. You get your own carafe of coffee for your table which is great so that any coffee drinkers can add as needed (or not) without having their perfectly mixed cream & sugar be diluted. My husband got the stuffed French Toast (his favorite anywhere). I got to try it, and boy was it good! Very sugary though which should surprise exactly no one. I am NOT a breakfast person, due to my intolerance of eggs, so this place is really an anomaly for my type of restaurant. That being said, with the reviews and photos, I had to give this place a shot, and am glad I did. A "modern" twist on the diner type menu, and a clean, upbeat atmosphere, friendly hostess and wait staff, and food that is just simply put....phenomenal!! They have a daily special board with the coffee, grits, omelette, and soup of the day. Even with my avoidance of eggs, they have a very extensive breakfast menu, which is very nice for someone like me. Plenty to choose from that doesn't revolve around the incredible, edible orb! LOL. I opted for the chicken and waffle, which was absolutely amazing. The "hot sauce" is served on the side, along with syrup and butter. The chicken breast was fried just right, and was still very moist and flavorful, even before I put the Nashville hot sauce on it! The waffle is a buttermilk waffle, cooked just right, with a great flavor! Only because of its uniqueness, I had to try the grits if the day, and boy am I glad I did. They were absolutely amazing. Breakfast food, what could be better? This place has all kinds of options there should be something for everyone. On the weekends it's usually crowded so you better get their early or be willing to wait. I came on a Monday and no wait as we walked right in. I usually go strait for the yellow submarine which is my favorite but this morning I wanted something g a little spicy. I picked the western omelette with a side of the grits of the day(chipotle and chorizo). The omelette lived up to its ingredients and it was pretty spicy. The grits were good and had a kick to them I might have not cooked them for as long but still tasty. Coffee was bottomless and got an everything muffin which you can't go wrong with. Lexington's brunch scene just got a whole lot better. The food was delicious. I had the Mexico City Maria's Chilaquiles, a Mexican style breakfast casserole, and it was superb. I asked if I could substitute the breakfast potatoes it came with for an everything muffin. The waitress immediately responded with a cheerful and confident, "Sure." When the meal arrived, it was hot, flavorful and my order was accurate. Pitchers of water and coffee are placed on your table so you can top off your own beverage, a nice little touch that I like. Portions are generous, but at least in the case of my Mexico City Chilaquiles, not overwhelmingly so. There was a slight wait for a table when I arrived at 11:00 AM on a weekday. I was quoted a 10- minute wait time, but I was being shown my table well before the 10-minute mark. Considering it was only Day 2 of being open for business, my experience was pretty much glitch-free. It was evident the staff was well-trained and knew the menu. Welcome to Lexington, Wild Eggs. I struggled between a 4 and 5 star. I would probably have to say 4.5. This was opening day for Wild Eggs here in Lexington. Very clean of course. I sat down at the little bar area in the front. Staff was friendly and manager checked on how people were doing as well. I ordered the Sweet Home Apple Bourbon crepes which were fantastic. Just enough hint if sweetness to them. I had a side of traditional grits which were some of the best I have had. I would rate this a 4.5 due to the pricing. I'm comparing this to first Watch becuase they are similar. The OJ at at First Watch come in a much bigger glass and has the pulp for the same price of around 3.49 I think. Most of the meals are in the 9.99 range before you add a side. That's really my only downside to this visit. I did enjoy the bar area as I was able to strike up conversation with other patrons as I was by myself. I would definitely go back and try it again. The Good: the food, pepper sauce, customer service, environment, cleanliness. The Bad: they don't bottle the pepper sauce. The Rundown: you walk into a very busy restaurant where the staff is friendly and the diner looks clean and organized. The pictures on the wall all have something to do with eggs, but are elegant and kinda funny. Their food selection is amazing, they have all different styles of breakfast and I have yet to find something I don't like. I must talk about the pepper sauce. It comes with their southwest style beans and taco thingy. This lemon, lime, habanero juice is amazing, I straight drink it from the shot glass. I want to line up 3 or 4 and have them there to drink with my meal, for real, it is that good. Service is fast and friendly. The Impression: there really isn't much that I can say other than this place has wonderful food and a quick service place that just seems healthier than a waffle house. My first brunch in Lexington! Woot! After much research, my friends and I decided to pay Wild Eggs a visit for Saturday brunch. At 10 am there was already a long line. I was expecting a long wait but surprisingly my party of 6 was seated within 20 minutes. The complimentary coffee on the front was a thoughtful treat. The restaurant is very clean, brightly lit with large windows and spacious. The theme of wild eggs is displayed throughout the restaurant with interesting drawings of eggs and a wall of eggs upon entrance. The color scheme of the restaurant had a warm tone that was especially welcoming. Eggs Benedict is my go-to brunch food. I was feeling a little bold and went with the Crabby Patty Benedict. It had lump crab meat instead of Canadian bacon. I should've asked my eggs cooked easy, as they weren't as poached as I liked. I normally love crabs but the crabby patty had a weird seafood taste to it that wasn't particularly to my liking. I ended up picking out the patty and eating everything else. This could just due to my personal preference though, since my friends who ordered the same dish both loved it. So try it for yourself if you're curious! The eggs Benedict came with skillet fries and an everything muffin. The fries were delicious. Everything muffin is exactly what you would expect an everything bagel to be but in muffin form. Serving size was more than generous. I was too full to finish everything on my plate. My pleasant experience here was partly attributed to the spectacular service. Our waitress was very attentive. She was patient with taking our orders, checked on us frequently during our meals, and happily split our checks without us even asking! Overall Wild Eggs is a solid casual brunch joint, great for families or with a group of friends. I'll probably opt for banana foster waffle or French toast on my next visit. read more

Waited fifteen minutes to get a table. It's well worth it. Chose to sit outside and get a little sun to enjoy the wait. They have a few patio tables and chairs to sit in while you wait or to eat at. Cute look inside. I like the egg shaped cut outs in the divider wall and egg canvas art. I expected it to cost more after seeing the 2 dollar signs, but 2 of us had more than enough and only spent $19, plus a nice tip since server did so awesome. I got the stuffed French toast. It was rich and delicious. Cream cheese is the stuffing. I look forward to another visit to try the other menu items that went by (teasing) me to other customers. As a former big-breakfast freak who has gradually lost interest in the subject, and as one who generally thinks brunch is a scam, I'm probably not the best person to evaluate Wild Eggs. But based on one experience, I'd say it's got to be about the best chain option in the region for either. To judge by its website, the Louisville-based Wild Eggs is exploding across the Ohio River Valley region. (Alas, not to our town of Cincinnati, the City That Interesting Breakfast Places Apparently Forgot.) And with good reason: It's got more interesting breakfast ideas than just about any breakfast/brunch place you'll see (a dozen (!) different egg dishes alone, including several Mexican/Latino dishes that I'm a sucker for at breakfast), and it executes them well indeed. Four of us visited this location in an antiseptic looking shopping center on the outskirts of Lexington to tank up for a Saturday on the Bourbon Trail, and all came away very satisfied. I'm a fan of the various versions of huevos rancheros, and Wild Eggs' was a great one: Instead of a pallid red salsa you get in too many places, this one was topped with a rich, thick, delicious pork chile verde that had obviously been fussed over, and came with a fresh pico de gallo. Eggs were a perfect over easy. (The sides of black beans and home fries could have used a little more pop, but they weren't bad.) Wild Eggs' coffee was easily better than the average. Décor is sunny and spartan, and the restaurant seemed to be as clean as a whistle. Service was efficient and pleasant on this morning. Wild eggs is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots! I've really liked everything I've ordered. Even though you'd expect them to have great egg dishes (which they do), their pancakes, waffles, and other options are pretty freakin good too. It's typical to wait about 20 minutes for a seat on the weekend, but I think it's worth the wait! p.s. I got a side of fruit and it was a mix of melons, pineapples, strawberries, oranges and grapes.
