From the owner: Come to the farmers market to taste our honey. Allison’s Apiaries is a family-owned honey business…read more We take people out to see our apiaries, where the bees live. People have bought these tours for birthdays or Christmas. We sell the best local raw honey online 24/7 and are at the Winter Garden Farmers Market every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm. Our honey is 100% unfiltered and never heated and is good by itself, or on food, or as an allergy treatment. The variety of honey depends on the time of year you have your allergies. It can also be used as an antimicrobial salve to heal wounds. Varieties include Florida orange blossom, Florida spring wildflower, Florida summer wildflower, Florida palmetto, Florida holly, and Florida orange blossom blackberry. Our many-flavored honey sticks are so fun, popular, and delicious. We also sell other products of the hive, including propolis, beeswax, beeswax candles, beeswax lip balm, and pollen. We are available Monday through Friday by appointment only for you to pick up our products, just call.

I love that this farm is still thriving amidst all the development going around it…read more There is plenty of parking and lots to do. They offer several types of u-pick fruits, veggies and sunflowers at different times of the year. They have a fun zone area and food trucks. The only thing I don't see on this farm are animals. I love that they allow the 5K races at least once a year. With those races, you usually get blueberry pancakes and a pint container to pick your own blueberries from at least 6 fields. There were 2 available to pick from when we were there. Plump and sweet blueberries are to be had if you know how to pick them. Don't let the bees scare you off. Leave them alone and you will be fine, unless someone in the next aisle pissed them off. They have peaches, sunflowers and strawberries to pick as well. I noticed the map also shows veggies but not sure when or which kind are available but nice to know. I love the observation deck above the gift shop. Amazing views of the farm and surrounding land with plenty of seating to take it all in while you enjoy a cup of coffee from the gift shop. I hope they can hang on to this land once the developments continue closing in on this rare property.

We picked an entire box which is provided at check in. Live music and great food at the food trucks. I've had both the pizza and tacos/quesadilla/rice bowls. All are great. Kids will love it. Worth the drive. We will return for blueberry season.

What an amazing little gem of a place. It's the kind of roadside attraction reminiscent of old Florida, but that history hasn't managed to forget. Thank goodness! This is a great attraction for the whole family. Lots of animals, play areas for the kids, and a ride around the farm in a monster truck/bus to view old citrus groves and search for Bigfoot. For me, the best part was the opportunity to interact with Lemurs and Capybaras. This was the best part of visit! Don't pay those absurd prices for those 'Capybara Cafes' popping up where $100 get you coffee in a room with them. Here, for a fraction of the cost, you get up close contact and interaction. The animal interactions fill up quickly, so get there early.

We also took a ride on the monster truck, which was a little disappointing as it was just a ride around the farm and we thought it was very pricey. I would say that this outing is geared mostly towards younger children. There is also a gift shop with fruit wines, honey candies, cookies, and a myriad of different things to purchase. I would definitely go back again, but maybe on a cooler day.

Expired havarti cheeses were being sold for 50% off with a expiration date of April 10,2026. Whole raw milk ( not fit for human consumption ) is selling for 16.99 - 21.99 a gallon; which is significantly more expensive than other raw milk sellers in lake/ Orange County. Meat prices are listed as $/lb; but all frozen meat beef, chicken lamb, duck, pork only comes in more than 1 pound packages. They sell more prepackaged foods in Plastic than glass or paper packaging, than they did in the past. They have 1 small bison, 2-Emu, 2-Bramaha cows, 1-llama(recently sheared), ducks, and chicken to look at and pet if you want to. Sadly it looks like end stage Capitalism is happening at Lake Meadow Farm too. They seem to be more interested in profits than they do in customer satisfaction and customer service. They carry lafermière yougurt at 5.99 a container while target charges $3.19, and a instant charges $3.49. On on a sidenote, they do have little placards along the walkway from the parking lot to the store where you could put your child's face on a picture and show them as being a cow or a farmer if you choose. in retrospect, they used to always be expenses but now they're just ridiculously expensive. I hope you enjoy this review and if Lake Meadows wants to continue in business and not go under, they may wanna look at investment brokers to invest in their farm so that they can sell off the property and then close it off for a profit.
