First the safari - You drive your own car through this safari and in our experience, you really don't have to worry about damage to your vehicle. There are so many animals, many species that I didn't recognize. When we entered the safari, we were given a booklet that had photos and brief descriptions of all of the animals, and that was a huge help in identifying what we were viewing. I loved that we could go at our own pace and there were plenty of pull-offs for us to use if the vehicles behind us wanted to travel more quickly. The animals trulya re right in front of you - most are wandering freely without cages, fences, or other barriers, and at times we had to stop to let animals cross the road in front of our car! At the end of the safari, there is a place where you can park your car and go up to a platform to feed the giraffes ($5 per person). We did it and it was so much fun to get to see the giraffes so close and have them take food right from our hands. We enjoyed the safari so much that we went through it again after touring the gator park. The gator park was super fun as well, and there are so many animals other than gators, too! We enjoyed the gator feeding. It was fascinating to watch them eat chicken meat off of a hanging line, and the commentary provided by the show's host was very informative. We also enjoyed holding a baby alligator and getting a digital photo. My 17 year old daughter loved the add on of the lemur experience. She, along with about 6 other guests, got to go inside a room next to the lemur exhibit and interact & feed a lemur. She truly loved this experience and it was definitely worth the added cost. Took my son to the Brevard Zoo for the first time and we had a blast as a family! This zoo is so…read morewell kept and has a great layout that makes it easy to navigate, even with a stroller. This is not a huge zoo, but it has all the animals you'd hope to see and more. It was an extremely hot day, but we were able to find plenty of pockets of shade and rest areas to cool down. My son is only 2, but he loved seeing all the animals, the interactive kids stations, games, and puppet show. Pretty sure he like the puppet giraffe more than the real giraffes, but hey, he was entertained. Speaking of giraffes... they have a giraffe encounter where you can actually purchase the food and hand feed them. They come right up to you and it's such a cool experience. We happened to visit during Bear Week, so there were some extra black bear demonstrations, kids crafts, and bear themed activities happening throughout the day. Some other animals we saw that day were bobcat, jaguar, lions, flamingos, wild turkey, ostriches, rhino, kangaroos, meerkats, otters, antelopes, boar, snakes, and many more. I did not realize before visiting that they have an entire water play/splash pad areas for the kids and it's such a perfect way to cool down when it's so hot outside. I wish I had packed my son's bathing suit and a towel, but now I know for next time. We'll definitely go back as my son gets older! We were there for about 3 hours and it was enough time to stroll through all the exhibits and have lunch. You could definitely stay longer if you choose to participate in some other activities like the Treetop Trek ropes course, train ride, kayaking, or the different animal encounters which are an added fee.

We came here so we could see full size alligators and learned that we weren't seeing the bigger ones out because it was too hot out and they prefer to hang out at the bottom of swamps to stay cooler. I saw so many large alligators here! They have about 200 of them here. We got to see them getting fed and learned how smart they are. I loved our guide who made our experience here that much better. He was very funny and informative. He took us on a boat ride and he also gave us the option to hold a baby alligators and a tarantula. I held the baby alligator but opted out of holding the tarantula even though she seemed very nice.

It was HOT the day we decided to go so we only stayed for a couple of hours. I do wish there was more shade on pathways, and fans and/or covered spaces to take a break from the Florida heat. We thankfully found a spot by the black bear exhibit that was air conditioned and had only two chairs, so I could feed our daughter. There were MANY other moms that came in looking to also feed their kids and it turned into a waiting game as we had to take turns using the two chairs in that building to sit and feed our babies. The animals were neat to see, because it was so hot a lot of the animals weren't out or were in shady places within their enclosure. I liked that there were zoo workers and volunteers near many of the exhibits that were available to answer questions and provide more information about the specific animals there. Overall we had a great time with our daughter and look forward to bringing her back again in the future.

I also like that they let you bring in snacks and drinks unlike other parks near by they are greedy and want to suck all the money out of you plus alot of the purchases you make here the money goes towards feeling and maintaining the animals. One thing I love about this place is that no two visits are ever the same -- every trip feels like its own little adventure. We checked out the new exhibit, which adds a ton of fun and freshness to the zoo. And of course, the usual stars were out: Toad the otter doing his thing, Ross the eagle looking majestic, and the elephants... whose names I wish I could remember. I do remember Mufasa, the male rhino. Fun fact: female rhinos actually run the group -- and a group of rhinos is called a crash. Learned something new today. But the unexpected star of the entire visit? The pizza. My goodness. That cheese pizza was ridiculously high‑quality -- gooey, melty cheese everywhere, absolutely delicious. I'm not kidding when I say I would come back just for the pizza... and obviously to see the animals too. We had a great time, ate well, learned a few things, and left already talking about our next visit.

We were so enthralled in the amazing variety of animals here. Each one seemed to have a unique story and a unique personality. Manyof the animal areas we under some degree of construction to make the area better, which is great because they truly have a great thing going. The animals seemed pretty interactive and enjoyed "communicating" with you when you engaged them. The volunteers and staff are friendly and informative, and obviously very hard working. Wow! I could not be any happier about my purchase from these guys. Im back into reefkeeping now,…read moreand there is no way I could have chosen a better initial place to order from. I have been out of the "Reef Tank game" for almost five years. I've had my tank the entire time, I just quit buying anything that wasn't necessary to keep it running. I didn't even change the water for the last 3.5 years. I had a catastrophic loss five years ago that crushed my will to rebuild. My heater controller malfunctioned and stuck on. My dumbass had two 500w titanium tubes in it during the summer, and heated the tank water to 93 degrees before someone saw the cloud of death in the tank. After three consecutive, daily,100 gallon water changes I tried to save what I could but I lost upward of $15k worth of animals. One of my friends owned the LFS so I had some doozies. I always got first look and the tank had irreplaceable corals in it. Only six corals and five fish made it. Sad day man. I didn't even look at it for a long time.... My kids would clean the glass for me every now and then. I couldn't bring myself to break it down or rebuild it. Present day: Only one fish left in the tank so bio load was minimal. I finally did a water change and to everyone's amazement the tank parameters were still dead on. I guess I've gotten good at eyeballing. The six corals that made it are the size of basketballs now. I did a big chop and made a bunch of frags and sold them off locally. Time to buy some new corals and fish!! I have never gotten a shipment of corals that were this well packaged. The water was 77.7 degrees on arrival and the salinity was 1.026. Spot on exactly as my tank. The way they packed it was brilliant. Double bagged individually and in the bags were plastic cups supporting the frag plugs to prevent damage. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I got six corals, and a medium clean up crew of snails and crabs. All alive and zero coral damage to even the most delicate ones. The corals are nothing short of amazing! The colors are better than the pics online. Polyps were extended in minutes after I added them. These guys brought my passion back with this shipment. WYSIWYG is the way to go with these folks man, you will not be disappointed. Buy a lot, you will have no regrets. My next purchase will be a couple "frag packs" to help get restocked. I'll try and get some pics of the new corals in the tank. Blue light makes it hard to get decent pics.

Nevertheless, my curiosity prompted me to stop in. I was definitely impressed with the quantity and variety of aquarium tools and aquatic life that they carry. The displays were beautiful. After I had a chance to look around, one of the staff asked me if they could assist me or answer questions. They were able to answer all of my questions, but they didn't have a solution for me and this was no surprise for me. If I were a saltwater enthusiast, I think that I would consider shopping here based upon the location, the variety of supply and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. For now it is a 4 star because I don't have the experience of purchasing and/or assessing quality of animals or service.
