    Giving out samples

This was a great event. They had lots of cooked samples to try including drinks and wine. They had a trivia game with great prizes (one in which I won). They also had give aways and a coupon for when you were ready to shop. It was very well done!

The best quality!!!! So many options here!!!! I love it yum so many high quality meat. They flash freeze everything and they cut out the middleman to keep the prices down. You won't be disappointed here!

Wild Fork is an interesting concept where 99.5% of what they sell is frozen. This store is conveniently located on a major highway with plenty of parking and a very friendly, helpful staff. The store was very clean and bright. Huge selection of vacuum sealed meat & fish of all sorts ( small cuts to large cuts including game meats). Also smaller selections of frozen vegetables, fruits, desserts, and prepared foods ( Asian spring-rolls, mashed cauliflower, etc) Prices are comparable to Whole Foods. What is convenient is that everything is already frozen and vacuum sealed so as soon as you get home, right into the freezer everything goes. I spent a decent amount buying all sorts of meats and other products. I will point out that not all the meats are Prime, more Choice. There are some higher end items like Berkshire Port or Wagyu beef but you are going to spend for it. Only item I tried so far were Coppa thin cut pork chops (on the bone) that were on sale for $5\lb which were very fatty. I would think Wild Fork is good for those that are not price conscience, don't mind adding another store to buy provisions at to their routine, but just like the convenience of everything being wrapped for the freezer.

Tried to order online and realized they actually have physical stores with one nearby. However, I went to check out and they gave me a price range up to 30% higher than advertised due to " many of the products we sell are variable in weight." While I understand products can vary in weight, do I really have to pay for a 10 lb roast if I only wanted 6 lbs? That's a huge difference, and more is not better in my case. So I called customer service who sounded like they were sitting on a street corner and had a very difficult time understanding them. Called the store (I think) during business hours and got no answer, while the recording said to leave a message but with no mention of Wild Fork. All in all, it doesn't feel super professional, and for a first time purchaser I'm not comfortable. So I guess I'll have to drive down there and figure this out, but not super impressed.

Good selection of frozen meats and seafood as well as desserts and vegetables. Also sell various spices and rubs as well as prepared frozen meals and appetizers. Very crowded on day of grand opening. The lava cake sample and sirloin sample were delicious. Bright and spacious with friendly employees. Worth returning, but I have to clear out my freezer first!

Love this frozen food shop from Florida. This is closest location from NYC and though a little small they stock almost as much as ones in Florida. i need to try a little by little but I'm buying their products from Philly stores so I basically trust them. First visitors might see something you never see in the fridge at any nearby supermarkets.

So far I have bought the frozen ground bison, elk, duck and kangaroo meat; everything had been soooo good. Highly recommend this place if you looking to try something different. If not, there is also regular frozen cow meat, chicken and seafood. Service is always good and pleasant and the ambiance is good. There is parking too.

Cookie Milk: This dairy product is served in a recycled glass bottle. It has an appearance identical to milk, but its aroma is similar to sugar cookies. It basically tastes like cookies combined with milk. This is an unbelievably phenomenal drink. A minute critique is a nutrition label and the capacity is not provided. A bigger issue is you won't find it on the shelves because it is a seasonal item. Butter Cone: The soft serve vanilla ice cream is dipped in dairy fresh butter and sprinkled with sea salt. Originally, I was skeptical about combining a breakfast topping with ice cream. As soon as I explored this creation, it was love at first bite. It had a sweet, salty and buttery texture. And it's available every day of the year. While you are in the supermarket, be sure to explore the lively animations. Throughout the aisles, you will be greeted by flying cows, a variety of fruits and vegetables, a cheesewheel snowman, and the one bite pizza guy. Disney characters will perform on horizontal bars. and animatronics are giving a live performance on instruments. In addition to exploring great food, I also had a memorable experience admiring the scenery. #stewleonards #stewleonardsnj #cookiemilk #holidaymilk #buttercone #onebitepizzaguy #daveportnoy #animatronics #animatronicsatstewleonards

The first sign that something felt a bit off came when the hostess--who mentioned she was the chef's wife--presented the specials. She only described appetizer specials, including, somewhat oddly, guacamole and a Greek appetizer. Different, but not necessarily a dealbreaker. Since no entrée specials were mentioned, we assumed there simply weren't any. The menu is huge, not in offerings but rather the shear size of the menu was overwhelming. We were served bread, which was mediocre, and decided to order the stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata to start. Both appetizers were good. However, we were surprised to find that the bill reflected $22 for just four zucchini flowers. I don't mind paying for quality food, but that felt excessive--even for Ridgewood. We also initially received the wrong appetizer, though it was corrected quickly. For our entrées, we had the veal Milanese, which was decent, though slightly over-fried. Later in the evening, when a nearby table was seated, we overheard the dinner specials being described and realized there had, in fact, been entrée specials available. Unfortunately, we were never told about them, and some of the dishes mentioned sounded like options we would have considered ordering. There were a couple of aspects we didn't enjoy. First, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. Although they appeared upholstered, they essentially felt like fabric stretched over wooden blocks--not ideal for sitting through a meal. Second, while the waitstaff was pleasant, it was difficult to get their attention for things like drinks, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. On the positive side, the hostess was warm and personable, even taking photos for guests, which was a nice touch. As the evening went on, however, the restaurant became quite loud. For a Tuesday night, we expected a quieter atmosphere, but it felt more like ladies' night out.

The hostess (& owner) was terrific as were all the servers. As for the food... it was outstanding! We had the tagliatelle, tortellini special, scallops and pork chop special. All were served hot and were all delicious. If we didn't live so far away, La Lanterna would be a go to restaurant for us. Now, unfortunately, it will be only when we see our NJ friends. (We may need to see them more often!) Bravo!

Think of Whole Foods, much less busy, not a whole lot of rushing (which is a good thing) and you take your time to browse around the smaller store. The quiet and calm was cool, for a Thursday evening, not too shabby. We came across a lot of products we haven't seen before. We came shortly after they opened at 11:30 and there was only one other family dining there the entire time we were there. We had: -Assortment of three spreads - hummus, tzatziki, and skordalia (potato, garlic, olive oil). We originally wanted to get the roasted eggplant but they said they hadn't made it yet. All the spreads were fine - nothing special about it. It comes with some pita bread for dipping. Next, we had some grilled halloumi -Avgolemono Soup - comforting on a cloudy day. Even my toddler enjoyed it and she doesn't usually like meat but ate a few chunks of the chicken -Grilled Halloumi (with fig jam) - this was a little oily and very salty. I did like the fig jam with it but $17.95 for a chunk of cheese is pretty pricey -Gyro Combo Platter (pork, chicken, and lamb gyro served with fries, pita, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki) - I missed where the menu said it's served with tzatziki because then I probably wouldn't have ordered the assortment of spreads. The pork was chewy, and the chicken was dry, but the lamb was good. They did have a nice flavor though. Again, my daughter who doesn't like meat even ate some of the chicken and the lamb. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, especially since there were really only two things we really liked. But if you do visit, I'd recommend just getting the lamb gyro. Tip - BYOB
