    Omaha Ad The Ideal Gift
    Patricia M.

I was reading the Clipper Magazine on December 21, 2022. Now I know that some people are shaking their heads asking "What is a Clipper Magazine?" Clipper Magazine is a Magazine that has some Restaurant Coupons, this one also had something about Fresh Direct, and also Omaha Steaks. I started reading where it said The Ideal Gift which includes 2 Bacon-wrapped Filet Mignons (5oz) 2 Butcher's -Cut Top Sirloin's (5oz) 4 Air-Chilled Boneless Chicken Breasts ( 5oz) 1 pkg Fully Cooked Beef Meatballs ( 18 oz pkg) 4 Gourmet Jumbo Franks (3oz) 4 Individual Scalloped Potatoes (3.8oz.) 4 Caramel Apple Tartlets (4oz.) 1 Jar Omaha Steaks Seasoning ( 3.1 oz.) plus there was also 8 Free Omaha Steaks Burgers you had to give them the numbers that go with that offer. I called the number 1800 811-7832 because I wanted to get the Ideal Gift for my husband for Christmas. I was told that we would get everything delivered for December 30, 2022. They right on the money. FedEx was saying that it would be delivered for January 2, 2023. But then they also sent an email that it would be delivered December 30, 2022. It definitely was delivered on December 30, 2022. I had looked out the window and saw that the FedEx truck was right outside our house I told my husband that the truck was outside our house. FedEx took a photo of the package on our porch that it was delivered and sent it to my email. So far I had the Bacon Filet Mignons and my husband had the Butcher's - Cut Top Sirloins Very Very Delicious!!!! The next thing that I'm thinking of having delivered is Fresh Direct but I don't know anything about that I have to look into it and decide if it's worth getting delivered. I made a mistake I said Fresh Direct but what I meant to say was Daily Harvest that's what I have to look into. Haha I will look to see if there are any reviews for Daily Harvest.

With the crazy busy schedule I had during the holidays traveling, cooking on Christmas Day was just not an option for me. So I figured let's make feeding 18 people as painless as possible. The lady working here was extremely helpful especially when it came to serving sizes and the quantity I would need to feed everyone. I was so pleased I ended up going back and ordering a few gifts for family and they were so happy to unwrap some steaks!

They don't answer the phone or respond to voicemail. The only thing I like from Omaha is the chicken Kiev. It's all overpriced.

I am the type to update reviews by taking what I had previously and adding my edits. You'll notice…read morethis has gone from 4 stars to 5 stars. What changed? * As noted last time, this is definitely Northern style barbecue here. I had said before it's not very BBQ inside, but I'll reframe that. You still absolutely get friendly service and not a very long wait. * I said before the meats are clearly prepared previously and just warmed to the order. I don't think I'll say that again. The meats were perfectly done, moist throughout, perfectly seasoned and smoky on the outside. * When I had gotten the two-meat plate, the brisket fell apart on my fork. The pulled pork was the opposite of what I expected - in fact, I'm wondering if they gave me pork or chicken now that I think about it... but it was good. Didn't occur to me at the time, but that might explain some of the taste and appearance. * This time, I got the ribs. A half rack of ribs filled me up, and YUM. Some ribs fell off the bone a little more than others, but oh boy was that perfectly good. My parents loved their chicken and brisket. * I think they read my review about how much meat you get for what you pay. It's not cheap here, but we all felt that we got a good amount of meat, mac 'n' cheese, or whatever else we ordered. It's great when a place listens! * Last time they upcharged me a dollar to swap cole slaw for cornbread. This time they gave me chipotle BBQ instead of regular BBQ without any charge at all. So again, maybe they read and responded! Still loving the flavors, textures, sauces, cornbread, and mac. This is a winner and earned the fifth star - we're all coming back!

Soooo, we went to Embark tonight for the second time. Full disclosure, the first time Wifey and I…read morecame here was when they first opened, we came kind of late and we didn't have the best experience, but I PROMISED myself I'd come back before reviewing because I honestly believed I just hit them on a bad night. Had a good friend recently tell me I needed to come back, so we did. Tonight we ordered a half rack of ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, and the pulled pork Mac-n-cheese. In a word, the food was fantastic. I've had BBQ in a LOT of places and also have my own smoker that I've gotten pretty good at using it so I know good BBQ...and this is good BBQ. The ribs were delicious - cooked perfectly the way the want them in competition...not fall off the bone, but with a little bite, and the flavor was great. Amazing bark on the outside with tender meat on the bone. The pulled pork sandwich was so tender and delicious that I wish I didn't have to share it with Wifey. And their homemade BBQ sauce is absolutely great...a little spice on the back of the tongue, but still sweet without being overly sweet (they have four kinds, but I only wanted the traditional). The pulled pork Mac-n-cheese was very rich but full of flavor with a nice breadcrumb topping as well. Each platter also came with cole slaw, something often overlooked by BBQ places, but not here. Very tasty, very fresh, though I think it needed a pinch of salt. I do wish we had gotten some cornbread, but honestly, we walked away very full. The service here is super friendly and our food came pretty quickly...and I really love the layout and vibe here. I spoke to the owner about how much I loved the food tonight and how it was such a difference from my first experience. I'm so glad we came back. The people behind the counter all seem to LIKE what they're doing...and that means a lot. Real BBQ places are always pricey, because you aren't paying for just the food, your paying for the hours and hours and hours of cooking it takes to get the food to taste as good as it does and to be tender. You can't take shortcuts with BBQ. So yeah, Embark isn't cheap, but if there's one thing I've discovered over the years it's that you DON'T want cheap BBQ. Embark is a BYOB place so bring your favorite beer, order some great food, and sit with friends savoring the deliciousness. I will NOT wait this long to come back again.

Paterson, NJ - like many patrons, my husband came across this place via their tantalizing Instagram…read moreposts and urged us to go. They were busy at dinner time on a Sunday night. As many reviewers mentioned, no one bothered to acknowledge us when we arrived, so I flagged down a waitress who said we could sit whenever we want. We chose to sit in the airier covered outdoor area (which isn't exposed to the elements so is perfectly temperate even in cold weather). There were no instructions on how to order either - this seems like a basic customer service fail: is it that hard to slap up signage explaining 1-2-3, or for someone (anyone!) to greet you and ask if this is your first time here and walk you through the process? Anyway, I'm glad I read the reviews and checked out what we wanted to order beforehand, and asked questions at the cashier. Sure, it's not that hard, but one really shouldn't have to actively track down multiple staff for directions on where to go or how to order at a restaurant. The deal is: decide which meat(s) you want from the poster (there is no menu), place your order (sold by the pound) with the cashier, pay, go to your table, and a server will bring the food to you when it's ready. The meat is (at current writing) $45/lb with unlimited sides and soft drinks. We ordered 1 lb each of beef brisket and lamb shank (1 lb = 2 shanks), which was the perfect amount of food for us 2 hungry adults, 2 teens of modest appetite, and a toddler of negligible appetite. The meat is simply seasoned (Arab bbq style) and came out lukewarm, but is off-the-bone tender and we enjoyed them with the variety of sauces. There are four types of sides: cucumber & tomato salad (good), spring mix, saffron rice (fine but my toddler loved this), and mashed potatoes (bland). It is a well-balanced meal, not too heavy. The chefs are friendly and we watched one film a demo almost certainly for social media. He even let us taste some of what he was seasoning, though there were no pyrotechnics as I had hoped from seeing some of the reels. The service wasn't bad - not terribly proactive but not non-existent either, and we always received what we requested. They could do better with customer guidance, but now that I know what's up I'd come back for the food and would like to try some other meats next time. Meat Moot has many franchises across the Middle East and Turkey, and NJ is one of only 3 locations in the US (the other 2 being in the Midwest). Street parking only.

Didn't get to eat it for about an hour, everything was still hot. Absolutely loved everything! Tender stuffed cabbage, falling off the bone pork shank, delicious soup, and buckwheat galore! The host was honestly the best thing there, when we walked in I told her we were celebrating a birthday if they could please bring out a candle with the dessert and she said "no problem, I already see it in our system" great. Once we sat down it took the waitress about 20minutes to take our order, other than the fact she had an attitude most of the time and barely came around asking if we needed anything else. We saw everyone else get bread with butter to start off and we had to ask another waitress to please bring us some because our waitress had not bothered. Once we got the bread the butter was extremely melted pure liquid. We ordered the bacon to start which was okay but a bit too sweet for our taste. We ordered the porterhouse for two (medium) once we got the steak it was more on the rare side and had barely any flavor. For sides we got the truffles fries and Mac and cheese which were good. Once our waitress FINALLY decided to come by and ask if we wanted some dessert we chose the apple one and once we received it I expected the candle to celebrate my bf but nope we never got it. Overall the experience was not good and I would NOT go back. There are a lot better places I could spend $300 for food!
