They have plenty of outdoor seating for your little pups, though the water dish they left out was unattended to. As far as food, they had a whole plant-based menu to meet my vegan needs. More important, they were able to make a gluten-free sandwich for my partner with celiac. They took precautions to minimize cross-contact with gluten items, including wrapping the sandwich up separately and bringing it out to us first before bringing out our gluten containing items. The three in our group had mixed reviews on the food quality. I enjoyed my reuben very much. My partner and his mom thought their food was okay, and their portions were too small for the price. As far as the actual store goes, they carry a lot of what your typical natural foods store or food co-op would carry, though the prices seem more along the lines of what a Whole Foods would charge. For example, $3.50 for a single avocado. Considering that they are a small business in a somewhat touristy town, I guess that is a sound business decision. All in all, a good experience, just expect to pay a little more if you are going to shop or eat there!

My husband had the Italian, which he loved. My grandson had the grilled cheese and it was loaded with everything he loved, cheese! A fantastic discovery, as we were driving out of town.

Breakfast plates were great with many options to choose from. I had the burger one night for dinner and it was well prepared and very tasty. The second night I had the hcicken tacos and those were really good. So many good flavors combined. Their kids meals were great too. Best food in HR, in our opinion!

This is one of our go-to spots on Hood River. We've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and…read moresomehow they manage to nail it every single time. Today's mission? Split the St. Helens Burger, an order of fries, and a side salad with the recommended goat cheese (trust them--it was the right call). The burger was everything you want it to be. A fresh poppy seed bun, a perfectly cooked patty, sweet caramelized onions... and then came the poblano pepper. That little bit of smoky heat tied the whole thing together. Now let's talk about the fries because they deserve their own paragraph. These are, without question, my favorite fries. They arrived hot, crispy, perfectly golden, and had that satisfying crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one. If you're a fry person, these alone are worth the visit. The side salad was fresh and flavorful, and the creamy goat cheese took it from "just a side salad" to something I'd happily order again. It was the perfect balance to all those delicious fries. If you're looking for a place that consistently delivers great food in a welcoming atmosphere, Kickstand Coffee should absolutely be on your list. We've yet to have a bad meal here, and it's one of those places we recommend without hesitation to friends, family, and anyone who asks where to eat. I now wish I didn't let my husband eat more of the fries. Gotta head back up there soon! Service was great and love that the girl at the counter asked me if I was doing anything fun today - extra friendliness goes a long way!

They came and refilled the dog bowl with ice cold water, and our dogs loved that. Service was a little slow, but everyone was nice. I got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and bbq sauce. It was sooooooo salty. Everything. The fries, the pork, the sauce. So much salt. Dipping in my husbands ranch mellowed the salt a bit. My husband got the chicken pesto burger and salad. He said it was good, though Costco's was better. lol. But he ate it all. The dogs got their bowl split in half. There was a bunch of peanut butter, chicken, cucumber, and cabbage. The picky dog devoured it all but the cabbage, the dog who'll eat anything ate only the chicken and PB. Really funny. But they were big sized. I'd go again, just being understanding that they're heavy handed with the salt.

Hands down one of the best Chicken Gyros I've had in a long time! The taste was absolutely spot-on…read more- perfectly seasoned, juicy chicken with that authentic grilled flavor, fresh tomatoes, onions, and a generous amount of creamy tzatziki that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was packed with flavor, not too heavy, not too light, just perfect. The quantity was seriously impressive too - a really hearty portion that left me full and satisfied without feeling stuffed. Great value for the price! One small tip for anyone ordering: definitely ask for it without lettuce. Skip it, and you'll enjoy the gyro at its absolute best - trust me, it's way better that way. Highly recommend this place! Will be coming back soon.

Well, you can't live on Indian food alone on the long drive from Portland to Yakima and so I…read morestopped in The Dalles at the food cart pod on the west end of town and tried this place. TL/DR: Great food, generous portions, good variety. Worth the stop along the freeway! The owner is a friend from Amayah's in Bigg's Junction and I'm all about supporting good people. He just took over this cart and is closely examining the recipes and tweaking them. Thus far, the results have been very good, a touch more garlic here, a little less oregano there. It's attention to detail and i appreciate it not just being food-service pre-prepared food. Starting with Gyros, the owner's wife ad he joked that it took several tries before she could actually make the whole thing wrap together. The portions are generous, the sauces make the process slippery, and it needs to be approachable so you can actually eat it without deconstructing the whole thing. I loved the laughter between them which bespoke the desire to get things right as a higher priority than perfection out of the gate. I like people who appreciate the process. I've tried the Loaded Fries, the Falafel Plate, and the Lamb Gyro thus far, returning to the Lamb Gyro several times. The loaded fried are LOADED, generous portion covered in (in this case) spiced chicken (still juicy) and drizzled with sauces. Very messy to eat, but wonderful! The falafel, formed by hand before frying, was crispy and had that variation in textures, smooth and chunky, and just the right spices. It was also easier to eat than the fries in the car. I make this drive several times a week and I now stop here and at the Amayah's with about equal frequency, and that is some high praise! Check this place out. I'll report later when I stop here with The-Woman-Who-Lets-Me-Live-With-Her and give her impression.
