So, being from the Atlanta area I've been to a few Wild Wing locations several times. Usually the wings and service are on point. I can't say the same for this location. In the area visiting family, when we decided to grab a late lunch and cocktails. Stopped by around 2:30 and sat at the bar. Between the 2 of us we both ordered chicken wings, tots, a beer and a Bloody Mary. First issue, one wing flavor was out and needed to be marinated. Second issue, I ordered 6 all drums. Food comes, and yep mixed flats and drums. Honest mistake, but I don't like flats so I sent them back. The bar tender steps away and brings my wings back after about 5 minutes. They literally sent back what looked like the three drums I had originally, and you could see the difference between originals and redo. On the redo, they tossed them in sauce and looked uncooked. The sauce was light orange, wet and looked unappetizing. The originals were dried out by this time. All of the wings were cold to the touch. At this point, starving and mad I tell her I don't want the food. She takes it back and did say sorry. No manager ever came to apologize, and she didn't even take it off the bill. Used to be our Fav Wing place. Last two times we've been there, we've had problems. Simple requests aren't followed. My son asks for no sauce on sliders and they have sauce. We ask for all flat wings and they tell us up front they can accommodate all flats but will do their best to get as many as possible. Okay, that sounds alright. My wings come out and not one flat on the plate. My sons wings come out and not one on the plate. My husband s wings come out and he has two! I'm done with the fight there. This was my third time to this restaurant. The first two times were ok. The best part was their offer of a flight of beers. You got to choose six beers and received six two ounce, maybe two and half ounces of beer. Great idea. It allowed you to try their different draft beers. Last night, a Friday night, it was not so good. First, they stopped selling flights of beer; it was probably too time consuming for bartenders. Second, as someone else mentioned, the music was so loud that I could not hear the person that sat right next to me. This was at five thirty! I can imagine the music being loud maybe a little later at night but if I were management I would wait a little to crank up the music. I spoke to the manager and he said that the owner wanted the music cranked up on the weekend. There were a lot of customers so management probably does not care if this place is not good for families. Food was ok. I may try it again during the week but never again on a weekend night. Update: You may have seen Management's response asking me to send them a private message and they would make it up to me. I had seen their same response to an earlier bad review. So I sent them a private email and I have yet to hear from them. I was not expecting anything from them, the food was ok and did not need to be compensated but now I'm wondering if their response is a typical response from them with no follow up. Me and my friend both had some bad food. My Holy Jalapeno Burger had so much sause on its bottom bun it was soggy and would squirt when I took a bite out of it. I also got onion ring (which was a dollar extra) weren't cooked all the way. All 4 larger then necessary onion ring had partly cooked batter. My friend got these skewered chicken which tasted like lighter fluid under. The skewers in the chicken were smaller then the chicken itself he had to dig them out. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5:00 pm.... they were not busy at all . As we walked into the entrance we passed one employee that was walking out , they did not speak or acknowledge us ? So we walked up to the hostess counter and stood there waiting for a couple of minutes . Then the same employee that wepassed walking out came back inside went behind the hostess counter , grabbed what appeared to be the restaurant house phone , walked out the door back outside never speaking to or acknowledging us for the second time . So we waited another couple of minutes and finally another employee came and asked us if we had been taken care of , and was surprised when we said no . So im thinking our original non speaking employee was supposed to be the hostess. We were seated in a large booth and waited on fairly quickly . Our server was nice but seemed a little new at waiting on tables . We had to ask for refills but other than that she was great . Now keeping in mind it is a Sunday afternoon around 5:30......... The 'live music' was loud , so loud we couldnt even talk to each other at our booth. Thats fine on Friday night at 11 pm , i get it . But when your not busy with 20 customers scattered in a 250 seat restaurant, dont blast the 'music' so loud people can hardly hear ? The music ? lol wow . What can i say . It was possibly the worst live music ive ever heard in my life and ive heard alot . The singing was off key as was the bass player 50% of the time and what msde it worse was they blasted it soooooo loud. Im not being mean but you should have to have a certain standard before you get on a stage even if its in opelika AL. Literally that 'band' is running customers out the door . Food . We ordered 6-7 different items , chili was one . 20 minutes after we ordered our server came back and said they were out. No biggy just maybe would've liked to have known sooner . Wings were good queso dip was good cheese fries good side salads good quesadillas good grilled chick tenders and tots good . The food wasnt half bad really . id say 3/5 stars . So we are 45 minutes into being here and i notice 10 or so people standing at the hostess counter waiting to be sat . Keeping in mind they are not busy. Ive received nicer greetings at a chicago airport restaurant..... lol At the end of the day i would go back with my wife as a couple to have a beer and laugh at the entertainment, but i wouldnt take my elder parents and kids here again. Customer service was good although I did feel like our waiter was trying a little too hard to make sure we liked him. This is our second time visiting, and it wasn't much better than the first. Last time we came right after it opened and the wait time for food was outrageous. The staff was awesome, and we figured they were working out the kinks and that is why it took so long. This time the wait staff was good, but the wait time for food was terrible again. I got the wing buffet and it was excellent, the choices were fresh and yummy. The rest of my party ordered off the menu and it took at least 45 minutes to get their food. First things first to Managers, AS SOON as you walk in on Saturday or Sunday, Turn your TV's onto Football, football and more football. Second, Know how to work the TV's. Super disappointed in the quality of this place. The wings were obviously old and just reheated, the fries however were made fresh but unsalted/seasoned. Visited Wild Wing Cafe while staying in the area. My server Janae (hope I spelled it correctly) was on point. She was exceptionally friendly and took good care of of me all night. She's a superstar and my my beer glass never went empty. The manager on duty Pam also stopped by to speak with me and make sure everything was ok. I'll always support a place when I feel the staff is making a sincere effort and management is actively engaged with their customers to ensure they're satisfied. Good job Janae and Pam. My night at wild wings was absolutely horrendous and embarrassing to a restaurant. We sat down and nobody came to our table for 15 minutes and when the server came we immediately ordered waters and even that took a while. We finally ordered and waited over an hour and a half for our food, it was wings and fries and a salad so there was nothing complicated about our order. We watched other tables sit down eat and leave before we got our food. When we asked the server what was taking long she said "there's two tickets in front of you and you had a long ticket so it's gonna be a while." We finally got our food 30 minutes later and we had asked for five ranches and she said she would be right back with it. She continued to talk to tables for about 20 minutes so at that point we asked for a manager because the food was getting cold and the server goes "it's gonna take a minute to pour it." The manager finally brought ranch and the server was standing at our table watching and mumbles "my god" under her breath. Shortly after my friend found a hair in her food and lost her appetite. When we asked for the checks the server goes "I have to take two peoples orders and run ALL your checks so it's gonna be a minute" and that took another 10 minutes. All but 1 person paid with cars and she took 10 minutes to bring the one check with cash and she was talking to two other tables the whole time with the cash in her hand. As we were singing the checks the server is talking another server not even a foot away and goes "these people are complaining about me, stop seating me" and we all heard it she was not trying to be quiet at all. We got no apology from the server and she made it feel like it was our fault that everything happened. The wings also had no sauce on them and were dry. I don't mean to bash this place but come on it's not that hard to train your servers well and have good customer service. read more

I have been to MANY wing places . And this one is OUTSTANDING. The lady at the bar that helped me with my take out order was nice and polite . The loaded baked potato soup - was AWESOME and by far THE BEST I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME. Not everyone can master this soup and THEY did . I had the chipotle jolt wings and they were great .
