Adorable store! When…read morevisiting Lake Arrowhead, hitting Big on Bears is a must! They always have the cutest matching family pjs and socks. They sell slippers, shirts and jackets too! My favorite part about this store is the dog clothes. Usually, you can find onesies for doggies. Plus, matching onesies for the human! lol I was so excited to buy a onesie for my new puppy. Sadly, the selection for dogs was terrible this time. There were only a couple of things for dogs. And none in XS for my puppy. I was sad. I really wanted a onesie for my pups and matching ones for me and my husband. I'm hoping this was just a fluke that the doggy section was thin/ almost nonexistent. Prices are a bit steep. Service was fine.

They have unique furniture, gifts, books and decor. There's a small parking lot outside of the store and more parking a short walk behind the building. When we walked in, someone greeted us and told us about the Xmas deals and that there were three floors to explore. We had our 5 year old with us, and no problems, she is quite respectful of the tight space and merchandise. The items can be pretty pricey, but they really are unique and beautifully displayed.

A really fun place to explore with lots of educational displays that were fun to experience. They sell bags of duck food for $1 which we took advantage of and enjoyed sharing just outside the shop with the plump ducks floating in the water. Near the entrance there were rows of semi-precious gemstone rings in an open display with price tags of $270 or so, which seemed odd to me because 1) if they were truly worth anywhere near that, they would not be out in the open like that and 2) I have purchased rings of near identical design and quality for $40. Perhaps the tourists pony up for these without knowing better? Either way I truly enjoyed the store and ogling their merchandise. It's a popular & fun place to take your out of town visitors.

The jewelry is all locked in cases. Nothing is self serve, so it's not like we could browse. I saw a Tiffany bracelet in a case. It matches my watch in the Atlas style. While I tend to prefer the simplicity of the 1837 collection, it was interesting to find the item as the cuff is no longer carried as part of the Atlas line. It was more than a little frustrating that it took me telling my husband that the bracelet matches my watch before the woman working in the store bothered to acknowledge us. We left. I told my husband I was considering purchasing the cuff as a birthday present for myself...but couldn't imagine spending my money in a location who took one look at my husband and myself and decided we couldn't afford anything in the store.
