I've rafted the Ocoee River three times and also have rafted with Wildwater on the Chattooga and the Nantahala. They keep getting better and better. This was my family's first time white water rafting. We rafted the middle part of the Ocoee River, which was a blast! Wildwater treated us like VIP's and we couldn't have asked for a better guide than Jevon. Be prepared to work up a good appetite, get soaked, be one with nature, and have the best time you've ever had in your life! On our next visit to Blue Ridge we plan on rafting the entire river. We had a great time on this rafting trip! Our guide Grant was amazing at getting four 15-year old boys to listen and work together. 4th of July so the river was crowded, but he was very professional and concerned with safety, while letting the boys have fun at the same time. Found these guys through a Living Social deal, and had a great time doing a zipline canopy tour with them in Ducktown, TN. Our two guides were really patient with my first-timer jitters. They were considerate at all times of our safety, and related to each member of our group with humor and kindness. The zipline ended up being tons of fun once I got my sea legs.... We were running late. Like an hour late. We took a wrong turn that almost cost us our trip. Wildwater waited for us and gave us the proper amount of grief when we got there. They weren't mad or mean at all, but they snickered good-naturedly and offered us to buy us an atlas. We deserved much worse for holding up the bus. We went as a group of buddies from high school/college, and our guide, Ashlee, made us feel instantly fine about being late. We signed our forms, got on the bus, and headed to the top of the river. From the time we got there, until the time we left, our guide was a great source of training and information, and it didn't hurt that she was able to laugh and joke with a bunch of loud mouthed guys. We had an absolutely awesome time. We even got to jump out of the raft and float down the river for the last mile or so once the rapids were done. Awesome. I would definitely use wildwater again the next time I go on the ocoee. To the owners, give that woman a raise. She totally made our trip. read more

Awesome time great staff we did zip lining in morning and rafting with Mark Miller who was awesome he hit Rapids in a way we had lots of fun but never fell out best part was when he had us surfing we rode if forever big thumbs up if you go ask for mark miller. read more

We had a wonderful time. I've been rafting before but this one was the best. I highly recommend it to all. Not sure what the age limit is but make sure you call. There are no hotels close to the location however we stayed in the Cleveland area and drove down the next morning. Enjoy you will love it. read more

As part of our family reunion we decided to white water raft. So very thankful that we choose Wildwater! They were on time, courteous, and well informed. We had 3 rafts for our group and I can only speak for my guide Ty...but he was awesome! The rest of the family loved their guides too. It was by far the highlight of the reunion and wished we could have done it a second time! Ty was beyond skilled and even told us various information about the river along the way. And the best part is that he wore a button up shirt and tie to raft in...he said you always need to look your best! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again! read more

What an amazing experience!! Every part of it was perfect. From checking in, orientation training, getting the gear on, bus ride to practice was well done. All the staff were incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We raft the Middle yesterday. Our guide, Lance, was great! He was patient, laid back, funny and worked hard! His instructions were clear. Our group had such a great time. The river was a perfect mix of calm and rough. There was a lot of adrenaline moments for everyone on our raft. After rafting we came back to incredibly clean and roomy bathrooms. It was nice to be able to shower and get changed. We stayed for lunch at the restaurant. Very nice scenery all around the restaurant. There was a good selection of beers on tap and a cheap menu. Perfect place to relax and share fun stories. I highly recommend this place for anyone (first timer to experienced). I'm looking forward to doing that all again! read more

Our guides name was Keith and he was awesome. He was super knowledgable about the area which made the trip extra special. We had perfect weather and the water was nice and cool. If you are planning on taking a rafting trip this is the place to go and make sure to ask for Leith as your guide he will make sure you have a blast! These guys did a great job. This was our second time on the Ocoee. We went with a different company before and Wildwater blew them away. We felt like the guides were much better and we had a much safer trip. The Ocoee is not a wimpy river and you need to be safe! These guys really came through. The whole family really enjoyed it. Went here with my husband and my 13 year old daughter and her friend today. I started to get nervous because we've never been rafting before but we were paired with a great guide who has been working the Ocoeee for 11 years. We had a great time, the girls had a blast and I felt very safe the entire trip. I don't think we could have asked for a better day. I would absolutely go back and would highly recommend it. As a 70-year old woman, I did this on a lark. Not a bucket list item, but should have been! I had a terrific time during the 2 1/2 hours on the Middle Ocoee. Even the rain made it memorable! By the way, be sure to check the TVA release schedule (a link is on Wildwater's website) because water flow is everything to make for a great time on the river. I was so lucky to have Alexander as my guide, because he seated me right in front of him and grabbed my life vest a few times when I had lost my seating during a hairy patch of whitewater. Thanks, Alex - won't forget you. He also was expert at what he called "playing a little" in the vortex of a rapids. We did 360's and had a great and exciting time, thanks to his expertise. This company is thoroughly professional in its approach to educating newbies and others before taking them on the water and their equipment is clean and maintained.
