Since I've had the creative bug myself lately Keeza and I chatted about how she got started making some of the beautiful jewelry on display in the shop as an apprentice under Robin. Of note are the pieces made from local sea glass. You can even bring in a piece of sea glass for them and they will make a custom piece of jewelry of your liking. How cool is that! Other jewelry pieces are created using Big Sur jade, gemstones, and shells. I made the mistake of not knowing anything about opals before buying my ring on a whim during a wedding anniversary trip. I made several attempts to contact the business for a copy of the GIA report that I can't seem to find (perhaps they never gave it to me, perhaps I misplaced it). GIA reports don't list origin of the gem so I'm not sure it would be very helpful anyway. The first time I called and asked for a copy of the report, told me they'd get it to me in two weeks, but never called me back. I then tried to contact them via their website contact form and they never replied. Since then when I call, no one picks up. I would like to give these guys a chance to make things right and at least provide me with the information they promised me. They have my phone number. Maybe they will see this and reach out? I don't hate my ring, I just hate that they initially fleeced me and are now avoiding me. Yes, it's a jewelry store in an overpriced tourist town but still I expect transparency regarding my purchase. Buyer beware.

Throughout this, he would not stop engaging us and he made it very difficult to leave. If you thought we couldn't afford anything in your store, why constantly engage us in a one-sided dialogue? The other workers were also deep in conversation in front of a few of their display cases, blocking them from our line of sight. There was plenty of room to stand elsewhere. What a great sales tactic. It was just an all around strange experience. The items were all fine - not my style, but reasonably someone else's. There's a spring-loaded bracelet that I was almost tempted by, but my goal was to just get out of the establishment. Make sure to only show up if you're flashing designer items or ooze generational wealth out of your pores.
