Made a reservation online to get wheel bearing replaced. They never called back and mentioned they don't keep track of the online reservations. They should remove that from their website because that was confusing, especially when you have to plan around work schedules. I dropped my imported vintage car off to have the brakes fixed two separate times. both times they had my car for several weeks to maybe a month and after both times my cars brakes were not fixed. i spent upwards of $700 for them to fix it and they did not. recently i pumped my brakes with it parked in the garage, found the leak in my brake lines, and it's in an issue with the brake hose, a very simple problem they should have caught, instead they wasted my time and money. read more

Came here to get 3 things done to my car and they were able to complete two of them. They couldn't find the part to replace my third item. I dropped my car off in the morning and was able to get it in the afternoon. The staff that helped me were friendly and efficient. Called on Tuesday and made an appointment to have my A/C recharged. I told the service agent that I had a 2017 Dodge Caravan. He said they could handle it. Arrived on Thursday, the day of the appointment, I was told they did not have the machine to do the work on my vehicle. He started to explain the different types of freon. I was surprised that they couldn't do the work. Not only did they tell me they could do the work but they did the same work two years ago. Their incompetence is now my headache. I have a an old Chevy G20 and he put in a new steering box, shocks, and alignment. I have never had a car that would hold a lane like this does! Positive shout out to Millard Wilkerson at Wilkerson Tire (I have used them for decades). Yesterday my tire warning dash light lit up. I pulled into Wilkerson. He immediately checked out all tires, adding a pound or so air. The issue was my spare tire was down almost 50%. He aired it up also. He did this in that awful heat. And...did not charge me. After having a 6 year business relationship with Millard Wilkinson using the agricultural acreage at his second home in Hartwell Ga, I can testify to what I have been told by Mr. Wilkinson and his wife Bobbie over the past 6 years. I have also been quoted tires over the last 6 years and bought for 25% less at another service provider so he has never offered a competitive price to me anyway I am not posting hearsay but rather conversations and comments I have had and heard from Millard Wilkinson and his wife Bobbie over the past 6 years in Hartwell Ga. This reviewer who said the following is almost word for word what Millard has stated to me, "I overheard Mr.Wilkinson who I think is the owner, referring to black people as 2nd class citizens in a conversation with an employee." When speaking to me, both Millard Wilkinson and Bobbie do not speak well of people of color and people who speak Spanish as their primary language. I felt they did not consider those people in the same class as Mr. Wilkinson. I also have been told by Bobbie with Millard shaking his head in agreement that they don't agree with one of their children doing something which is illegal. That illegal activity has been reported to first Walton County then Gwinnett County which seems to have jurisdiction to open an investigation based on what the Wilkinson's have told me. I can pass a lie detector with all the information I have offered and that is the business owner I know. You have choices and I would suggest buyer beware. But he can be sooooo nice. read more

Wonderful customer service!! They are honest and upfront about what your car needs and communicates with me and my husband of any issue to get the go-ahead before they start repairs. I've used them for brakes, oil change, tires, and auto tune up. No wonder why they are always busy, they provide wonderful service. read more

I came here from hearing about this place. My original tire guy just left me hanging. The service is great here. Everyone is kind but beware they are very busy! Please do not go here!!! Tired of people spending their money at these mom and pops stores thinking they are better than these greedy corporations. I overheard Mr.Wilkinson who I think is the owner, referring to black people as 2nd class citizens in a conversation with an employee. I was charge extra for the work they had done, but as I chatted with one employee it came out that the work on my car that was supposedly done wasn't, he spills the beans accidently. The way they treat their Hispanic workers are awful, a huge white guy yelled at the Tire Technician saying " you need to speak correctly" I was shocked at what I heard about black people then they are treating Spanish people differently, yet they will take their money!!! First Class...All the Way! The folks at Wilkinson Tire Center are the best! When I stopped by for an emissions tests a couple of weeks ago, the Tech advised me that it wasn't necessary due to the age of my car. Most places would've done the test and charged me for the service. Afterwards, they took the time to check the tire pressure in all 4 tires... again...no charge. And today... My son in law locked his keys in the car WITH it running. Wilkinson's sent someone to the house to unlock the door and believe it or not... NO charge! He wouldn't even take a tip for his time. Trust me... When I get tires in the Spring, it will be from Wilkinson's! read more

I don't normally write reviews but the service I received here was excellent and I wanted to let everyone know. All I did was get a simple tire patched and they went above and beyond what I came there for. One of the guys Roberto noticed that my license plate was loose so he found washers and tightened them for me, not only that they put silicone onto my hubcaps because it was falling off. I was very pleased with their customer service. I showed up when they were super busy so busy there was not any parking spaces. I was driving a car with a busted radiator. The front desk guy said they were busy but would work me in since the car was not drivable. I thought that was very nice. The price was reasonable and we got the car back same day with no issues at all. I will use their services again. read more

Have been a multi decade customer of this company. Always been treated more than fairly with great quality of work and good advice...like "no, you have several thousand miles left on those - don't replace em yet ".. I was shocked to read another review of a counterperson speaking inappropriately to a ( Hispanic) tech. I trust the reviewers honesty but I have witnessed the owners interactions with their techs on many many occasions and I can assure you the mgmt there would not tolerate such had they been made aware.. I recognize several long tenured Hispanic techs there and I doubt they'd remain year after year if this culture was the norm. read more

Shady people. I took my car to Wilkinson Tire to get some tires. I had done my homework and already knew what the right price was for the tires I wanted. The 'salesman' (andI use the term very loosely!) first gave me a very inflated price on the tires, then badmouthed my selection and tried to upsell me to a tire that was twice as much!! Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and will not return to these crooks. The saddest part about it is the elderly people who come here because they just do not know any better. Since I discovered Wilkinson Tire about ten years ago they have saved me from my automotive ignorance any number of times, including one when a dealer said we needed about $4,000 in gaskets. I took it to Wilkinson, they examined it, and told me that they couldn't find any seepage or leakage. They've always dealt with me with honesty and unfailing courtesy. This is the second time I visit here and I would highly recommend this store to anyone who need expert work on tire. The honda dealer found a nail in the side surface of one tire in my car. They said I have to replace it with a new tire with ~$ 200 charge. I turned down their offer and drove my car to this store. The front desk staff(mangers) are very helpful to locate the position of nail and find no air leaking. I end up driving my car out in 5 mins with confidence that my car is safe to hit road again. Their custom service is best I have ever seen and I really want rate it at six stars if I can. read more

Went in for a battery this morning. They were fast and had the battery I wanted. But the salesman behind the counter yelled at the technician, "Speak English!! English!! English!!" And all the technician was asking was which battery he wanted him to install and he did so in English, just with a Mexican, Spanish accent. What an insult. I felt so bad for this technician. This gringo felt he had the right to talk down to this man just because of his accent. I certainly won't be back. I would have said something to the salesman but some people are beyond helping without a week of sensitivity training and I didn't want him to take out his anger at me with the tech. Again, it's right around the corner from my house but I will NEVER be returning here. I'm born and raised in the US, but I don't understand the "American" ego that allows a person to speak to another as such. Just awful. read more
