We called the next morning and Ernie came out same day, did a diagnostic test, and was able to get the parts and fix everything! He was thorough in letting us know the issues and reasonably priced. I wanted to…read moreside-step the big HVAC folks with a fleet of trucks and high overhead, so, I was fortunate enough to find Ernie Salazar - emsheatingandair@gmail.com. emsrenohvac.com He answered my initial phone call within 24 hrs. Showed up for estimate exactly when he said he would. Having spent many years as a Field Engineer rescuing mission-critical computer systems, I know how vital good communication is to a frustrated end-user. For us, calling the customer within a half-hour was Job 1, and there is where Ernie shines. Never at any moment was I left wondering the why, how or what he was doing. His nearly 20 years experience was clearly evident as he quickly sized up what needed to be done, ordering all the parts and equipment. He was here at exactly 8:00 AM on the scheduled day. He kept me apprised of his progress every step of the way; politely answering all my nagging questions. He works quickly and efficiently. A sizable Investment, but Ernie's bright attitude and old-school work ethic was very reassuring. I'd decided to have him replace both AC and Heater, replacing it all at once; it is a lot of work; very physical; inside, outside - with a lot of time spent under the house. A truckload of special tools, electrical, wiring, plumbing, gas, telephone lines-and much more, but he made it all look easy. On observing all that he was able to accomplish, the price tag was never an issue. There was a problem with the crossover duct under the house (mine is a Manufactured Home), that he also replaced with a mouse proof, better insulated, replacement that along with the new install will make a marked improvement in heating and cooling efficiency. A major upgrade and renovation. I anticipate saving on my Electric Bill. Also, peeking over his shoulder, I learned a lot that I didn't know. I could see how much better quality was his work to what had been originally installed. Much better insulation and wiring, neater layout; "the whole nine yards." Upon seeing how deteriorated and rundown my old AC had gotten, I then wished it had broken 5 years ago. Also, that yearly maintenance is well worth the cost. Needless to say, I'm super-impressed! Surely, there are a lot of experienced and capable folks in this field, but nothing instills confidence, or is more gratifying, than a workman who shows respect (to those upon whom his livelihood depends), by being honest, direct and punctual. This is where many in the Service Industry fail, and is a major cause of complaints. Ernie doesn't work for a Company-as you will see, he works for you. He is very busy, but compensates by working fast. He doesn't mess around. I've been in the service industry for fifty years and E. Salazar is among the very best. A rare occurrence, that he exceeded my expectations. His pricing is competitive, not cheap, but you'll get what you paid for. A simple formula: honesty, integrity-say exactly what you will do, then do it!

We moved into an older home and have already dealt with several issues, so having their leak detection service has been a lifesaver more than once. They send alerts through calls and messages, and they're proactive about scheduling the twice-yearly AC/heating maintenance so you never have to remember to do it yourself. With an older house and previous AC problems...it's well worth it. Their team is always responsive, easy to schedule with, and willing to take the time to explain what's going on instead of rushing through the appointment. I especially want to recognize Geo. We had an emergency situation and he came out quickly while keeping me updated on his arrival the entire time. He found the issue fast, but what stood out most was how much time he spent explaining what happened, why it happened, and what the repair process could look like moving forward. That level of communication and transparency is rare, and I really appreciated it. I will stay with Goettl due to their customer service alone.

So this review is is for service over the past year…read more A short history. A few years ago, we had four seasons put in a new furnace. After checking around and getting tons of estimates, there was as much as a $10,000 difference between all of the estimates. Four seasons came in at the best price. Unfortunately, I ordered an 80,000 BTU furnace and when the guy was done, I looked at the furnace and saw that it was a 60,000 BTU. I showed the guy the invoice and basically his response was ' Oh crap' so I talk to the manager and he assured me that 60,000 BTU would heat my home sufficiently since it was a high-efficiency unit. I was ready to have them tear it out and put the right one in, when the manager guaranteed the furnace and gave me the price for the 60 KBTU with a substantial discount. I did the regular maintenance and service service with four seasons. When Goettl took over, I'm not sure if they just change the name, or bought four seasons, but everything changed after that. First I was informed of a membership called Sadie which is basically a yearly/monthly fee that allows us to get a lot of benefits. Free service calls, free, free preventative maintenance and discounts on non-covered items. The first thing that I noticed was Josh came in to do a service, check the pressure and saw that the original installation guy did not convert my furnace to propane. Apparently none of the other service people ever checked the pressure. He had to return with the correct parts and changed out the valve. He also helped me out with a bathroom heating duct that was ripped. The price was great and he said he felt bad that we had such issues with the previous company. A few months later (last Saturday) we stopped getting heat. I called Goettl let them know, and they were at my house within two hours. When it's freezing outside or going to be subzero it's really important when they respond so quickly. Chris was the technician and he found the problem, however, the plumbing supply company was not open till Monday morning. Two days with sub, freezing temperatures scaring me a bit. Chris said that he would check with Dispatch and see if they had a couple of space heaters. When he was leaving, he noticed we had a bunch of firewood on the front and he offered to help bring firewood in. I told him no problem we had it, he said he was happy to help us. Make sure we had enough firewood to get through two days. These two offers, were above and beyond in something you really wouldn't expect from your HVAC people. Unfortunately, they didn't have any space heaters at Dispatch, so we went to Home Depot and got some radiator heaters and then yes 24 hours a day kept a fire going. Chris showed up Monday about 11 AM with the parts and it took him about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to fix all of the problems. I'm not savvy with all of the HVAC terms, but something about condensate water bill backed up through the system blah blah blah... we now have heat. lol. Getting the Sadie member membership/club was the best thing we decided to do. They call us regularly to schedule our summer and winter maintenance. They are responsive. And they are very polite every time I call them. I really would recommend you contacting them and get on that membership before you actually need them. Thank you, Josh and chris and unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the female technician that came out and changed our filters but she was awesome also!

We desired the same technology as in the new mini-splits but we have a ducted system. We found that Bosch meets this expectation as we have been waiting years for one of these that is not prohibitively expensive. Why the US manufacturers can't get with it is beyond me. The Bosch unit actually virtually changes size based on heating or cooling requirement, so it's like having a smaller unit on not so warm or cold days and a larger on colder or hotter, hence very efficient. Most important around here is the Bosch pulls heat out of the air at much lower temps than the conventional units so that the lower cost heat pump heat will be useful at lower temps before the expensive resistive heat strips kick in. We called Bosch and asked for a company in Southern Oregon and they gave us the number to Bliss. Shane does amazing work at an exceptional price and to top it off is a super nice guy. When I asked some of the other companies, they seemed to know little to nothing about these inverter central air units and insisted I buy older technology GE, Goodman, Rheem etc. Shane knew more than the people at Bosch I spoke with and has been installing them since they came out a few years back. Cheers for a company that thinks outside of the box and goes the extra mile, literally!

I have had regular maintenance, cleaning, flushing, even including having a Controller installed on this fairly new unit, but I continued to have hot water problems. One time I had no hot water for eight days in a row. This past Tuesday I had guests; there was no hot water for showers, nor to wash dishes. I called Legacy Air and spoke with Leslie who was extremely helpful; plumber Alex Church came out soon after my call. Alex spent two hours troubleshooting the problem; he determined that when the unit was installed, the factory set program was never changed. He reprogrammed the factory default and disconnected the controller which I never needed. Alex did not charge me for this fantastic help, and he called me two days later to make sure that everything was working correctly. I have very high regard for Alex Church's knowledge, competence, and absolute thoughtfulness. Thank you so much, Alex, for your excellent service. Sincerely, Teresa Del Sarto Reno, NV
