We found this park when we were passing by. We turned around and spent three days here! Chris and Marcy have put their heart and soul into this place! They have the above and beyond hospitality as well as a plethora of information about the area and the fun adventures nearby. They have a gathering area with very comfortable seating and fire pit in the center. Great play area for children and a dog walk for your fur babies. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily and very accommodating to all. As you can see we have had our fill of other types of RV Parks that tend to be more concerned about the sale than the truth. This place is priceless! We rented a pull through spot with full hookups. There are adorable cabins to rent on this 12 acre pine covered area with a short stroll down to the river. Trails galore to ride and the quaint little town of Troy nearby.

Utility sinks to dump your waste water is located between men and women restrooms. Our site was simple with a driveway, space for pitching a tent, a fire pit, and picnic table. No grill grate for thr fire pit. Lake McDonald is nearby.. A bunch of trees stood between our campsite and the lake. Showers are located in Loop A with no parking. Camp hosts are in A or D. Wanted to find a camp host and there wasn't one on duty in either loops but we got to see the other loops and if we were to camp again in Fish Creek... Loop D.

We went to say "hi" when the office opened (it's open for an hour or so in the morning and at night), but I think the fellow thought it was really strange of us to do so, and he wasn't really into friendly small talk. I can't help but feel that you can't really give a 5 star review without having had any positive interaction with actual people who own or are employed by the business. You don't review vending machines, in other words, and our experience, though good, kind of felt like we rented our campsite at a vending machine.

The spots are level, that's important in a small rig like ours. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are a dream! The folks in the campground are mostly just passing through and some are there for a couple days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. Those there for awhile are super friendly and helpful, we me several in our little world of chaos! The owner though, he's the real hero of this little haven! We arrived later in the evening only to find an entire group of folks in our spot. Well, what we thought was our spot!! We called the after hours number and one of the folks actually texted the owner for us. Lo and behold, in the year and a half on the road, I had mixed up the reservation date! We were scheduled to be there the day before and they were full that night! The owner found us a spot to park though, luckily with a plug in since it was so hot!! Their caring, attention to detail and years of experience with luxury vacation rentals and real estate sets them apart. Nice RV spots, grounds are well maintained and beautiful. For "glamping", the Conestoga Wagons are fun, and there are actual Tipi spots coming that'll be right among the trees! Be sure to walk the nature trail through the woods when you're here. When we first arrived the bathrooms were clean and neat, but as the park got full they went downhill quickly. Also this is an older park, with sites that did not anticipate larger rigs with slides. But even that would be workable if the sites weren't so overgrown. We had to tie the overgrowth back against the tree to get our vehicle in. This CG could be so much better with just some aggressive trimming of the verge.
