Our group of golfers decided to have dinner at William B's since we were staying at the Par-A-Dice Casino hotel. Our server was quite capable handling all 8 of us without missing a beat. A good friend invited me to dinner at what he called an "expensive, but amazing" steakhouse. I believe his memories were correct, but our experience was less than amazing. First, it was surprising that there was no problem getting a reservation on Saturday night at 7 pm. And the place was half-empty. I was excited to get the prime rib, which is available on Fridays and Saturdays (I ordered a medium-rare king portion), and my friend ordered a medium-rare ribeye. When the steaks finally came out, his ribeye was medium-plus. The prime rib(?) was below-average-sized, heavily seared on both sides, and cooked fully well-done (not even medium-well). That's not how prime rib works, and it's certainly not medium-rare. This is a steakhouse! If they get anything right, it should be beef. The FOH staff was wonderful and accommodating. Very apologetic, and although they were now out of prime rib, they arranged for me to get another steak, which was cooked medium-rare. The horseradish cream sauce and au jus were lacking in flavor, but the meat was aggressively seasoned. The complimentary pretzel rolls and butter were good. My friend's mushrooms were outstanding. The au gratin potatoes were delightful. The broccoli was plain and uninspired. The carrot cake was tasty - not the best I've had, but huge and with good flavor. Perhaps we hit them on an off night, their chef was sick, whatever. But you expect more out of a high-priced steakhouse. I still want some prime rib. read more

Dinner was amazing. We arrived early and were promptly seated. The drinks were amazing and the steaks were by far the best I've had in the Peoria area. I would recommend the crème brûlée for desert. The service was exceptional and we truly felt welcomed and like we were more than just a customer. The dining room was quiet but welcoming. We will be back next time we are in town. read more

Took a look at their menu online and saw the prices. This place is way too pricey. I don't know who they are trying to be, but for my money I will go to Connected in Peoria. I already know there is good service there and the prices are cheaper as well. read more

5star prices for 2star service, did not meet expectations or value for price. Most expensive restaurant in the Peoria area, chosen for a family dinner to celebrate 25yr work anniversary. Firstly they couldn't respond to advance reservation request left via their phone system, because their website one doesn't work either. Next, Mixed drinks didn't match their menu description. Then Overpriced tiny appetizers and a la carte everything. Prime entree steaks were decent cuts, but terribly oversalted to ruin the actual steak. And had to ask for the horseradish sauce as a side even though it was listed on menu as part of the entree. One of our dinner orders was "forgotten" so came 20min later than the rest of the meals; not even an apology but did offer a single dessert as recompense. Overcharged bill with waiter entering a full bottle of wine for each glass. Decor and tableware is dated, and service was very lacking for the price. They may prey on the adjacent casino crowd, but never again for us. read more

Very good meal. The rib eye was cooked to perfection. The lobster tails also was perfect the wife said. The rolls and the molasses butter was to die for. Good side salads. Omg the dessert carrot cake did I say HUGE!! Was good had to take some home. Was at the restruant last night for the first time ever. This was my birthday dinner with my mom and brother. So we had the appetizers of bacon wrapped shrimp and onion petals which was good. Then for our meals my brother had ribs and mashed potatos. The ribs were burnt, rubbery, and very spicy. His mashed potatoes was fine. My mom had the chicken alfredo and her bread was burnt the chicken was a bit as well and tasted smokey burnt. I had same thing but with the shrimp it was OK but my shrimp was smokey tasting too. We informed our waitress her name was Nina and she was fabulous very polite and friendly and most of all helpful. (She needs a raise in pay) The manager who was very nice and accommodating as well came to our table she took the 2 meals off our bill. She was going to scratch all of ot but I felt bad because the apps was great so wanted pay for them at least. So she did correct that issue promptly. The other thing is the sides are all separate so if you order steak and it's $42 then need add $6-20 for the side you pick. I have no problem paying more for food when it is good but at the prices here I would have expected better. The setting was good very relaxing nice environment. Overall I don't believe I would go back I rather eat at the deli or bar and grill there. Again the waitress and manager was excellent. read more

This is clearly not a "high end" steakhouse as advertised (false and deceptive business practice). I've now been twice in the last 3 months to my appall! The first time I ordered the $42 16 oz ribeye and cut directly into gristle. The steak was tough, not 16 oz and was barely an inch thick, it was flat (premium cut for a ribeye is at least an inch and a half). I sent this steak back and got the prime rib cut which was also tough and sent that back too and left hungry. I communicated this experience with the Manager, who invited me back to dine once again gratis. I ordered the very same thing and had the very same experience as the first! I had to follow up with the Manager two weeks later on my own to give feedback in which I questioned the quality of the beef and the vendor supplier; moreover, I compared my experience to eating a steak at Sizzler or Ponderosa for $7.99. The Manager informed that they were in the process of making significant changes but could not divulge them. Why? She ended the conversation by saying "I'm not sure what I can do for you at this point". ??????? I have even notified Boyd's corporate office to no real resolve. The problem appears to be systemic with no leadership accountability. How many businesses would still be in existence today if their solution for customer issues/problems is simply "I'm sorry." read more
