I did my gum graft and crown here, and both were fantastic experiences. When I had an issue after my gum graft, they squeezed me in asap to get me checked out. And with my crown, the fact that I can get my crown made and put in on the same day was so convenient. Even the basic dental cleanings were always efficient and done with detail. Dr. Nguyen is fantastic, and he's well supported with his office staff who always check in and go above and beyond for my care! Thankful I have a dental group I trust and can stay with long term.

And then they started to upsell and push a $1,200 cleaning... They were justifying the claim that they look out 5 to 10 years out, also saying they can't do a full cleaning since it will impact the quality of the future specialized cleaning and after they report to insurance I would be locked out and not able to be covered for it in the future if I did not do it today it would be more expensive later over $2k. So of course cleaning was really rushed. I went to my old dentist a month after and they said it looked like my teeth were not cleaned or polished since they last saw me. I sent the X rays/imaging from the visit to a dentist friend and they said it was a very extreme solution for something that can be managed with personal routine changes. They are entitled to their opinion and how they operate as a business nothing against them. This is a heads up if you decide to go in.

I've had dental work done for…read morealmost all of my 50 years and unfortunately experienced my first cavity at five years old and an incredibly traumatic extraction shortly thereafter. I've been through braces and fillings and root canals, etc. I literally have fallen asleep in the adult chair because I have absolutely no fear as I've already experienced the worst they could possibly happen in a dentist's office. I have never in all of my life, experienced a dental practice and a dentist that is as invested and meticulous about my teeth as I am about my health in general. I have had major health issues - very nearly died of lupus - that made me even more acutely aware that, as this amazing dentist said, the mouth is the gateway to health or illness. I have done my homework in saving my own life and literally have doing the "impossible" as a patient at Stanford in putting my autoimmune disease in remission for over three years now. I'm so happy to find a dental practice and a dentist who will enhance my health through this critical gateway -dental wellness- and will help me through the next steps in well care. She's also treated my mom, who has severe anxiety about dental work, and somehow she makes her feel completely at ease every time. How is it that…read morea client can provide Delta Dental PPO insurance information ahead of time, have the Laguna Dental Center verify the benefits, along with the website repeatedly referencing that is accepts Delta PPO and being proud to be a PPO dentist. However, I quickly discovered through EOB that the practice was actually NON-PAR/out-of-network, which made the bill to be around $1600. After reading multiple reviews describing similar experiences, it seems this may be a pattern rather than an isolated misunderstanding. Patients deserve clear disclosure of a provider's network status before treatment, especially when insurance information has been provided and verified in advance. It's unfortunate there is such a lack of care for the client.
