I have routinely had difficulty getting specific details out of dr. cho and his staff about procedures, and even basic scheduling. I have been coming to this office for over a year and it has become much worse as time has gone on. Recently, I called in with an urgent need after a filling (done by dr. cho) failed within a month of getting it. This left my tooth exposed and painful, which I communicated to the scheduling staff. After communicating this, I was given options (which were poorly explained) and we agreed on getting a pre-authorization from my insurance which I expected would not take much time. After waiting 24 hours to hear a response, I called the office back. When I asked about the status of the pre-auth, the scheduler laughed and told me the pre-auth would take two weeks to come back. I was also told that I would not be able to get the work scheduled for at least that much time as the dentist was going on vacation the next day. I'm not sure what was unclear about "I am in pain, and I need to have this fixed as soon as possible" but I did not get the impression that this office is concerned with urgency in any way shape or form. If you are in pain, or you think you might be in pain and need work done quickly and reliably, Dentalworks is not a good bet for you. Best to find another office that will actually follow-up, communicate with you on even the most basic level, and treat you as if your oral health is actually important to them.

The second dentist replaced it and within days i was finally pain free. Before I realized how bad Dr Stein is I sent my mother there to get a night guard. While they were scanning her teeth the tech banged the wand on one of her teeth and split the tooth. My mother immediately told them her tooth was hurting. They ignored her and did not check the tooth. my mother ended getting an abscess, had to have the tooth removed and she ended. up with an infection in her body that affected her heart. Bottom line, this doctor does not listen to her patients and she causes severe harm. I would avoid Dr Stein.

I prefer to drive up to Baltimore for my dentist twice a year for cleaning and for any emergencies or restorative procedures. Lisa, the hygienist/cleaner is EXCELLENT and she is the main reason I keep coming back. Dr Brooks is really nice and we get along great, and DR Linnan (who used to see me but passed me on to Dr. Brooks, is excellent too). The office staff know me and always work with me and my issues. They are very helpful with billing and ways to pay for huge expensive procedures. Everything is easy and communication is key to it all. My dentist seemed to have done a rush job and left bonding goop on my adjacent tooth (from an orthodontic mistake) and they also said I had 'soft spots' on my front tooth when there were none (look at an x ray) so he drilled it.
