They will lock you up in a small corner of the building and constantly threaten you with law enforcement. It is called "eloping" if you choose to leave. You are not allowed to make any phone calls during what they call a "mandatory 72 hour hold" - which is called a Baker Action, though they refuse to admit it. They will not create any individual therapy, you will not have access to ANY recreational activities, except for a "smoke break." Even then, if you do not participate in group, they will punish you by taking your outside time away and confining you to your room. They are also antisemitic. I announced several times that I am Jewish and require a pork free and kosher diet. They constantly ignored this. I went 5 days without food. I was also told not to bring any toiletries, that they would be provided. Nope. Took 3 days just to get a toothbrush, no deodorant, no toothpaste or mouthwash, and no towel or washcloth. I felt so dehumanized.

I was pleased to see they had numerous openings and I was able to schedule my appointment at a time convenient with my schedule. I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism upon arrival, and the check-in process was easy and quick. The clinical medical assistant was friendly and welcoming and best of all, the doctor I ended up seeing, Dr. Mena, was exceptional! She was communicative, attentive, and an excellent listener and made my visit feel as if it were "tailor-made". Overall, my interaction with those I encountered (front desk, medical assistants, the doctor, and laboratory techs) were positive. Best of all, I later found out that this clinic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community with passion, compassion and integrity, all of which were evident during my scheduled visit. I would highly recommend them and their team of doctors!

My husband also sees Dr. Douglas (we almost never go together due to work schedules) and my husband has similar experiences. The staff here is great and the office runs efficiently. Dr. Douglas runs on time. I've never had a wait. My husband is typically a difficult stick. The phlebotomist here is awesome and always gets him on the first time. Dr. Douglas is kind and takes a real interest in you, not just as a patient but as a person. Dr. Douglas is a huge dog lover and has photos of his dogs in the exam rooms. It's a nice touch so that the office feels less sterile and more welcoming. It's also nice to get a glimpse into his hobbies/ outside interests. That way you see him not just as your doctor but as a human. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Douglas. He is a wonderful PCP. You want someone who takes the time to listen and gets to know you as a person. The location is convenient for me but even if I lived a little further away, I'd drive the extra distance for a good doctor.

Some did not even give notice because they were fed up dealing with Management. The environment became toxic! Joe told my Case Manger to let me know immediately that I was terminated because of lack payment! It was a Monday, I left earlier because i had an appointment with my Primary Doctor. Coming out of the appoint I get this call! I was not to returned! No referrals? no paperwork ect! Very unprofessional! I cried! I found out through the insurance that all payments have been up to date! Then I called the Case manager and she said that Joe mentioned this is not a facility for long term treatment. However, there are several people there that are there long term!
