Giving extra one star because this place was close from my work…read more I've been a long time customer of Total Men's Primary Care. I will now stop using this clinic because of the Nurse Practitioner at Tech Ridge location. (FYI, there's no MD in this location) I am pretty sure there aren't a lot of patients who will lie about their symptoms. Because I had congested nose for long time, this led to some complications like abnormal blood counts due to lack of oxygen (confirmed by specialist), fatigue, and hard time focusing due to lacking in daily sleep. My heart and some parts of body muscle started aching, so I told him all the area that I am aching. It looked like the NP was caring and listening. However, he walked in with Anxiety Questionnaires. The questions were definitely trap questions. One example: - Do you feel lacking in motivation and focusing at work? (I answered yes). No shit, because I feel tired everyday due to lacking of sleep caused by chronic congested nose. There were many questions like this and I answered yes to all of them. I specifically told them my chronic nose problem before answering the questions, but they said it's okay to fill those out. NP then walked in and referred me to a psychiatrist.... Next, I told him the questions were misleading and I didn't put detailed accurate answers, so I wanted the paper back. He rejected my request and scanned the paper without my consent, which is now officially up under my name. Whoever reading this, I just hope you all don't fall for this, unless you really want to fill out those questions.

The check in was fast and easy. The receptionist wasn't very welcoming. I took my test at 8:20 and…read moredidn't get results until 1pm even though it's a rapid test. I called cust serv around 10am to see if there was something wrong. She said I was negative and she'd call the location to send me my results. I kept checking in to see if they had gotten anything. Every time they said I'd get my results shortly. Finally at 1pm I got my results.

I recently wrote a review for my new AWESOME dentist and it had me thinking about my AWESOME…read moredoctor, Dr. Sorensen. I'm surprised there aren't any reviews of her yet - she runs a small practice but she's a big deal. My first appointment with her was last fall. I was overdue for my annual and, like any normal human being, wasn't looking forward to it. A good friend recommended her with a glowing review. My intention was to call the office, just to ask if she was accepting new patients (she only accepts 600-800 so I figured my chances of getting in were slim). Much to my surprise, Dr. Sorensen was the one to answer the phone! That impressed me enough that I scheduled an appointment for the next week. My first impression of Dr. Sorensen was excellent, and things only got better from there. She literally does everything - she is a one-woman staff, which means she does everything from checking your vitals to dealing with insurance. This approach means that you get to spend more time with her, which means that you feel like anything but just another patient. She also takes a conservative approach to medicine, so when I told her about my occasional anxiety, she recommended things like yoga instead of jumping to more invasive/expensive treatments. Best part of my experience with her? I ended up having a bit of follow-up work the next day, and was obviously concerned about the results. She got back to me the next morning to let me know all was OK and thoroughly explain everything. And the day after that, I got my pap results back. That's right...TWO DAYS after my appointment I got my pap results! I'm used to waiting a minimum of two weeks. She called as soon as she got the results because she didn't want me to worry longer than I needed to...wow. If you are looking for a doctor who uses modern technology (online scheduling, mostly paperless, etc.) but won't provide you with the typical, cold doctor's experience, I strongly recommend Dr. Sorensen.

I visited this practice for the first time after recently switching from a larger practice. I was…read morevery impressed Dr Sorenson's professionalism. My initial visit was very through and the Dr took as much time as was needed to understand my medical history, make suggestions, ask questions and actually sit down and have a conversation! That is impressive in todays world. Her practice is purposefully small, self-managed and her interest in medicine and people is clearly visible in how she runs her business and treats her patients. I nearly fell out of my chair when I called to schedule an appointment and Dr Sorensen answered the phone herself. Unheard of! She also makes herself available on nights and weekends to answer calls or come to the office in case urgent issues arise. I believe she truly cares about her patients and wants to manage her practice with the best technology and information available to her. She leverages technology to allow her to have the time to treat the patients, rather than using technology as a crutch to fit more patients into her day. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Sorensen, her sense of professionalism was first rate and she has a compassionate manner that is ideal for families looking for a Family Practice. If all small businesses could be run in the same manner Dr Sorensen is running her business, we would have a true sense of what community really means.

After waiting for…read moreso long, I stepped out of the room to ask the front desk a simple question because I had an online class I needed to get to. As I was leaving, I saw Dr. Gray walking toward my room. He said he was about to come in, but he already seemed upset and flustered and from the moment he spoke, I could tell something was off. He didn't ask what was going on or why I had stepped out. He didn't give me even a moment to explain how I was feeling. He asked two rushed questions, barely listened to my answers, and shut me down when I tried to speak. He looked in my ears and then told me, with no empathy at all, 'There's nothing we can do. You can call ENT and Google exercises at home.' It felt dismissive, cold, and completely unprofessional. What hurt me the most is that my blood pressure was extremely high dangerously high and he treated it like it didn't matter. I know I have to be responsible for my health, but he is a doctor. Why choose a profession centered on caring for people if you are unwilling to actually care? I was not rude, not difficult, not disrespectful, yet I was treated like an inconvenience. I could have walked out of that clinic in a medical crisis, and he didn't seem to care at all. As I was leaving, he said, 'Your blood pressure is a little high, try not to stress,' and then chuckled. That moment broke me. I felt small, dismissed, and completely uncared for. I work incredibly hard. I'm in school finishing a master's program in clinical mental health. I am not illiterate, I am not unreasonable I was simply asking for help with my health. And Dr. David C. Gray absolutely failed me today. I left feeling angry, sad, and scared. Thank you for taking the time to read this, because he certainly didn't.

When I asked for two additional lab tests to be added to my lab order she started to make snide remarks about the doctor office not being a McDonald's and that I would have to interpret my own lab results.
